BSA A10 Super Rocket 650 short test ride after getting it to run properly. 

Probably the best of all my old British bikes since 1950! Much more reliable than my 1948 Series B/C 1000cc, HRD, vee-twin. My 1958, 650cc, BSA Super Rocket had a circular "gold star" badge on the tank, siamese pipes, and twin clocks up-front; speedo and tacho! Perfect for pulling my sidecars from Hereford to the seasides via the South Wales Mountains to Barry Island, Porthcawl, Aberystwyth, etc, with all the family inside! Never a breakdown! A trusty old beast! Take care, all!....😀....😀...!

A lovely old Brit bike which can still show a clean pair of heels. Motor sounded sweet and there seemed to be more to be had from that motor. A beautiful example of British engineering.

A sound I know well. My first bike was an A10, a ‘57 Road Rocket. Not as pretty as this machine. Didn’t have that big brake up front, but it stopped OK. Rode it to school everyday when I was in college. Quite wish I still had that bike. Thanks for the memories.

nice cat Nice A10 as well, though the needle position is a child's mistake. I see it has an A65 front brake, much better than the original. Funny thing, I can't remember my '55 Gold Flash having or indeed, needing a choke. A good tickle and she'd start, hot or cold, Winter or Summer alike.

A couple of comments. Watching this makes me feel old, it's over 50 years since I parted with my A10 (RGS) and have they started work on the woodland you featured a few months back. The front brake is from the late sixties, good but in my experience they used to take in water through the vent in prolonged heavy rain.

What a lovely bike, looks like the owner has spent some time and love on this. looks like the twin leader as fitted to the late 60's Bonnevilles, they were fantastic brakes, good as a disc anyday

A right-&-proper motorbike sound !

I've got a 1958 one ex USA so it has the twin gauges and no cowl . If this one has the 376 carb like mine I found that one richer than middle was idea for the needle jet otherwise it pinks under load. Such a nice machine I've done several thousand miles in the last two years and I find it totally satisfactory. Can't see why anyone would need an electric start as its the easiest starting machine I've ever owned?

Great video lovely bike ,I went out earlier on my 59 flash after finishing work im still running her in ,these bikes are brilliant to ride handle very well too oh an it has twin leading brake which isn't original but very good brake 👍

Many say the Bonneville was the "best of British" but I reckon the A10 was the better bike, and had similar performance ( around a ton). The A10's duplex frame gave it better handling than the Bonnie, being similar to the featherbed Norton around the bends and roundabouts of our local roads.

Your experience might support why the A10 was popular and long lived then. It certainly gets along very nicely now, if the Russians invade on Urals or Dniepers we'll be fine. Good job as usual. You might want to try these White Foam Blocks that often go by the "Magic Eraser" name, quite often see them in the Pound shops although there are branded variants. I've not tried it on carb needles but I have used it successfully on lots of different surfaces. It's particularly good on plastics including visors, I carry a wet piece in a wee zip lock bag for just that purpose. It doesn't scratch, doesn't need chemicals, just water, cut it to a convenient size or shape with just a sharp knife. Thank you.

Nice bike those Beeza Rockets ,but not too sure I would fancy having a starter motor ,positioned in such a vulnerable position . I reckon I would just prefer a kickstart ..Also I heard this new crap E 10 fuel leaves bright green deposits & the alloy carb bowls get a bright Green tinge to them . I am not well up on these old classic. bikes & wonder how the owners get on with this new crap E10 unleaded juice …The bike runs well & I reckon a good well set up decent size drum brake ,is just as good if not better than some disc brakes I have encountered .👍

Bike looks to be in top Nick, no sign of rust anywhere. So would that carburettor be set like that from the factory. Ironic cat would use a rocket as a launch pad.

I really enjoy your videos! Almost a dream like experience to go through the English countryside on a classic old British motorcycle. This one sounds very nice. Sure has bottom end torque! Is the front brake from a later model? I thought it looked similar to the twin leading shoe brake from 1968. I bet you have a good reputation. Keep the shows coming!!

Had one in 69,swept back pipes and reverse cone megas beautiful sound,young rocker didn't bother with helmet or licence in those days,sold it for £60 after it nearly killed me as it started misfiring whilst over taking a car on a narrow road with an oncoming tanker barrelling towards me car driver let me back in,that engine was all that could be used after the former owner put it through a steel fence and died.not superstitious, but.....
