Built a Triumph chop in the 70's, total blast to ride. Every expansion joint in the highway and the rear wheel jumped to the left two inches. Loved it!
They do look sooo damn cool. Had one at 17 rode few years. Then 72 FLH front shocks rear shocks WAH00. Had same bike for 4o years. Gonna upgrade soon. Unless i get rich. It will be last bike i buy. Shocks are so cool. Windshield ain't bad freezing cold days either. Motto,s always been. As long as your warm fun Kinda like camping
I was always partial to the old BSA, TRIUMPH and NORTON choppers of the '60's and '70's . I was a young boy back then and thought they were pretty cool looking. I eventually owned a TRIUMPH Trident ( stock) and a Honda 750 Super sport chopper.
The colors are reminiscent of the choppers of 1960s and 1970s. Lots of psychedelic colors that were very popular at that time. If you were dropping acid at a Greatful Dead concert you could definately dig it or so I'm told wink, wink.
@@MHLivestreams I owned a 1966 Sportster and the left side of the bike was candy green while the right side was metal flake blue. 1" rake with 20" over front end, the bike would "pogo" at the slightest bump. Next was my 1967 Triumph chopper. Welded on hardtail, 10" over front end gold metal flake peanut tank with black lace (grandma's doily used for the lace paint job). We did a lot of experimenting with wacky paint schemes in the 60s and 70s here on the east coast.
@@ats-3693 No, they are not. They like the chopper style and that style has, like alle other styles and inventions, nothing to do with HD. It is just oposite, HD is the one that copy from others. You want some examples? The V twin, monoshock, springer fork, fairing, hardbags, belt drive, ... The chopper style comes from the early bobber, and that where Indians and a fiew European brands. So, no HD spirit.
