Thank you. It is rebuilt and has been filmed. I need to put the film together. The bike is running well on the rebuilt carb. It will be more than a week till I put up the film.
I am fortunate to live 15 miles away from Burlen in Salisbury, who are the current manufacturers and distributors of Amal carbs. So I popped up to see them and get all the new bits I needed for my 375 Amal for my C15. One thing they pointed out, is that the old floats are soldered together in two halves and the solder can get damaged by modern ethanol petrol, and they have plastic floats for the princely sum of £17 and are ethanol resistant.
Julie in one way you are very fortunate being able to get hold of carb parts so easily. I still prefer living up here in the Highlands even if I have to pay (sometimes quite a lot) for postage. That is very useful info about the brass float. Thanks for commenting. Hugh

An ultrasonic cleaner would be great for the intricate carb jets etc . Are new jets still available or is it a case of hunting around for second hand parts? Regards, Tim
