This is a whole new experience for me. Zeroing a springer rifle with fibre optic open sights. This is my BSA Meteor Evo, it's a brand new rifle - less than 4 weeks old. Although I wasn't quite sure which way to turn the dials, I was actually quite impressed with the accuracy of the rifle. This video is probably not the best example of how to zero a springer, but I quite enjoyed the experience. 👍

You need to turn the screw clockwise to lower the aim and anti-clockwise to raise the aim. Had you done so, l think you would have been spot on. Nevertheless, good video and you proved the BSA Meteor Evo is a great gun at a very cheap price. I have three Weihrauch springers but think I’ll get the Meteor just for open sights. By the way, I’m touching 70 and use two hands to cock the break-barrel. Oh to be a boy again with his first springer!

These rifles are very good and accurate I had the Evo silentium 177 not the best triggers but very accurate 20p size hole at 30 yards 👍

Mouse, I'm afraid, Graham. 🤣 Seriously though, my medical condition means I have little muscle fibre these days, which makes cocking the rifle a bit of a strenuous task I'm afraid. Still doesn't stop me trying, though. 👍 And a Happy Easter to you and yours too. 🐣🐰

@@LPGexpert It might be worth having the spring length reduced by a coil or two and possibly exploring some other rifles which require less cocking effort, for example the HW30S, older versions of BSA Meteor, the Cometa 100, SMK 12. These can be overlooked as merely 'junior' or 'beginner' rifles but in truth a compact 7ftlb springer can be a joy to plink away with for a session rather than a larger full power springer. Cheers

@@LPGexpert Good to hear it. I own several full (sub 12ftlb) power springers but the one I reach for the most to plink at targets in the garden with is my little .22 HW30S. All the best

There is no need for this comment at no point does he state he's going to shoot live quarry, that's a negative comment for the sake of it. Why don't you put the time and effort in and show us all how good you are with open sights
