Tyler is my son, and we talk about this interaction from time to time. I personally would like to thank Deputy Powell for giving him a break and leaving him with life advice. This is a true man of the law with principles and wisdom. I’d also like to note that Tyler was nervous on camera and did actually say that he was grateful for Deputy Powell giving him a break, but also instilling fear and wisdom into him. He no longer speeds and is very humbled by having people like this in his corner. Thank you again Deputy Powell. You make us all proud 🫡
Let’s go Mike!!! Officer Powell is a great man. I’m glad this message was posted for many young people to learn and be careful with their lives and others .
Officer Powell great job, the message was better than a ticket. Tyler a lesson learned, don't forget about the encounter. This story could've had a heartbroken title, he saved your life. Happy New Year to you both!!!
I’ve met Deputy Powell a few times in the line of work that I do and he’s one of the coolest LEOs you will meet. In fact a lot of the deputies that work for BSO are actually cool ladies and gents. They do their job and most are professional.
Parents need to teach their kids. Like this guy got a new 3 series, of course he’ll drive reckless and show off cuz he’s young but they gotta teach him to be responsible
I am Tyler’s father, and have had these talks with him many times. He’s a great kid, and actually saved his own money to buy his own 3 series. We all did dumb things in our younger years. The important thing is that he knows he’s been blessed to have a guardian angel intervene and give him great advice.
@@mtmiv1230 a used three series? Either way, it's still a BMW! Please tell me what he does for work to earn that kind of a vehicle, I mean here I thought I had a decent paying job and I'm still driving a SEVEN year old Saturn that they don't even make any more for crying out loud!!😖
Wow, this BSO should be the standard of law enforcement, but he is the exception, not the norm.Too many get in their feelings when they are there for law enforcement, not their feelings. This saint is near his retirement so he feels he is a public servant & cares about how many lives he can turn around. He doesn’t care about #’s, quotas, none of that, just law enforcement. May this man live a happy life & God bless him.
This youngster isn’t going to learn his lesson!! Notice how his only concern was getting a ticket . Not once did he mention that he learned something from the traffic stop. Sadly, we will turn on the news one day and see a blue car.
This youngster is my son, and he has indeed learned his lesson. I hope to not ever see him on the news for any such thing again. God bless you and your family. Let’s try to motivate and hold off on the hate.
@@mtmiv1230no one is hating sir but what about three other lives he's putting in harms way and into danger driving reckless all we're saying is if it was a black person it would have been different now you see we feel when others are treated differently
@@LEFTSIDE1 Could it possibly be that color had nothing to do with the officer’s warning? Maybe he just saw a young man making bad choices and thought that he could straighten him out. Maybe he’s not as closed minded as the people that think that this is about black vs white. Maybe he’s just a good person who happens to wear a badge. We don’t see color, we see good people.
@@mtmiv1230 sir that's the problem seems like the young blacks are treated differently because of color I mean no disrespect I'm sure your son is a good kid how he understands his reckless driving isn't good for him or others another problem is there's young blacks who have made bad choices but doesn't that same treatment I'm glad the officer did what he did but understand this you see how it's look to us much love and respect
As Tyler’s parent, I am truly grateful for Officer Powell's invaluable guidance and words of wisdom. It is indeed frightening to witness such situations, but thanks to Officer Powell, my child has learned a valuable lesson. I appreciate his help immensely and sincerely hope that my child and others heed our advice and embrace a healthy and fulfilling life. God bless🧿🙏
OMMMMGGGG I REMEBER MR POWELL I HAD GOT IN TROUBLE IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND HE HAD TO TAKE ME HOME IN HIS POLICE CAR LMAOO HE GAVE ME SOME ADIVCE NOT GET IN TROUBLE AGAIN !!!! Omgg haven’t seen him forever
If it was black person you'll be saying what a mistake the cop made the teenager "A BLACK ONE"got off to easy and that he was driving to fast "reckless driving" he could have hurt someone or kill them let alone himself
@@LEFTSIDE1 I wish I could understand your stupidity but I won’t even try too, have a blessed day It’s people like you who will never have a peaceful life
When this man retires he should be appointed to a position where he creates a code of conduct for ALL officers. There are those now but that code of conduct has no teeth. Either they do their jobs properly like this man is or they get fired & if necessary, prosecuted & jailed severely so the rest of the lawbreakers in uniform on our payroll think twice.
@@mtmiv1230 SHUT UP your lying on the news they said tyler does get a ticket for not having his driver's license but he says he walk with a brand new perspective of law enforcement. For that, he does not having car cause he does not have his driver's license.
