Interesting, thanks for that. www.balistas.com/spa-m30-55mm I must say FX have produced a very attractive rifle here, and if I was looking for a non-bullup I'd seriously consider this. Years ago I bought an Artemis P10 Shorty bullpup, but eventually returned it after it had been back to ASI three times, but was still leaking. I bought an FX Wildcat instead and loved that for many years. 🤓 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Yeah this is nothing new, actually many years ago i asked FX why they did not do something like this, but did not get any RPLY back then. Clearly they took my idea and ran with it 😞 Also said the same ever since the AGT Vixen came out " why isent there HP air inside that Huge shroud "
Seeing this in walnut really has made me want one, I love a trad rifle and that is pretty, elegant and functional. The first FX that has made it onto my wants list and it's straight in at the top.
It is a very attractive rifle, plus it's apparently quiet, plus it's very light... just a shame (for me) there's not a bullpup option. 🤓 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
The slim line, very elegant, awesome. Wood stock has much slimmer line than the polimer stock, which I don't know why looks so futuristic, but should be as classic as the wood version, in my opinion.
Amazing to see FX bringing in this level of tech and quality for £700 RRP (so lets say £600-650 to consumer) (for the synthetic stock version of this rifle) and Air Arms have lowered themselves to flogging rebadged Indian crap for not much less.
Ok, it takes a fill probe but there is no dust plug! FX should produce and send to all DRS owners, a rubber plug to insert into the fill hole in the stock. If it gets 100+ regulated shots on a fill on low power, then it becomes a viable backyard plinker.
I didn't notice any, but I sadly hardly got to handle it -was too busy off filming more. 🤓 I saw one in Wirral Guns last Thursday, and Nik there said it was surprisingly quiet with a moddy. 🥳 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
The model starts at 750 for synthetic stock no match trigger and pic rail, add all those options and wood stock then it’s £1100 mark and still no studs
Indeed and it's both light and relatively quiet too... hmm am still processing and uploading today's vids, but he describes the various prices towards the end. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Sorry I'll have to rewatch it to remind myself what Johann said, or if I forgot to ask him that... it's been a looooong day and I'm knackered. Video #8-of-#12 is currently uploading, but my duvet's calling. 🥱😴
There is it is in the back of the block, but just like regulator in the front of the block, none of them are readily adjustable, you have to remove the stock to get to them.
not unless you call .30 big, i think that is the MAX. ALSO a barrel that fat would take up even more of the volume inside the tube so you probably be hard pressed to get 4 shots on a fill in say .45 Not even sure FX could make a .45 caliber barrel with their own stuff at least, you probably want a barrel made in a conventional way.
Well I don't need a match trigger for pest control, so I'm glad it's not standard, as that helps keep the standard synthetic rifle price below £1k. 🤷🏻♂️ This rifle feels amazing in-hand. 😍🤓 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 Love the classic look and a great stock for free hand shooting. Think the DRS is already a best seller but i'll stay with my S410 walnut for pest control. Cheers Buddy!
@@rapalaron6348 Sweet, I've owned an S200, S/H S400 and an FAC S520 carbine, the latter first in traditional walnut, then in a Craftsman Vit bullpup stock. 👌 🤓
you mean for the PRO version,,,,,, sure that would facilitate transport a little, but the pro with a ultra short barrel and folding stock to fit in a backpack. Well they will have to do something else than that ridiculous expensive MDT stock You probably also need to carry a fill tank in that back pack, CUZ a compact barrel thru pipe i doubt will hold very many shots.
@@bommert3816 I've owned 7 FX rifles all sub12 only decent one was the wildcat, maverick was awful and sub12 panthera was abysmal probably wouldn't buy another FX
@@bommert3816 spot on in the UK unless you have a fac licence you can only shoot sub12 power airguns, sub12 FX's aren't any good in the UK full power is a different story.
One thing you didn’t speak about is the fact that guns from FX are always priced four times what they’re worth. And now you have a lien coming out at $999 how is that compared to the drain line which is 1200 people need to really pay attention, it seems like you’re in major financial trouble. Maybe you can make a video explaining what’s going on with FX USA is closure.
Are you feeling ok? 🤔 I don't sell or make guns and I don't work for FX. I'm an independent / honest gun and kit reviewer... I think you should message FX, not me. 🤷🏻♂️ Cheers. Russ
@amazingairguns6350 taking out your anger on your keyboard with someone who doesn't work for them isn't going to solve your issues. Just don't buy the brand if you aren't happy with them. You'll live longer.
Had my DRS for 2 days it toppled over in the man cave fell silencer first and wow the stock split in two at the pistol grip on inspection the composite material they used is cheap and brittle and god knows how it survived the destruction test FX again customer service non existent put me in touch with sports man gun center who were no help either option they gave was knew stock at over £300 Sod that I bought a form at least I know it will survive a small fall
