The Genting Peras road to Titi is finally open. Have been planning to try it out and finally we did it.
Started off at the usual Batu 18 then to Genting Peras. From Peras to Titi, it’s our first time cycling this route. Beautiful scenery, the road’s surface are awesome! My only complaint, while I was enjoying the downhill, suddenly there’s a climb which goes up to 8-9% gradient 😂 Not once but about 3-4 of them. That really kills the fun! 😂
Once you reach the bottom and head to Titi, the scenery was awesome too! We didn’t cycle all the way to Titi town instead we stopped at Sungai Muntoh for the famous duck noodle! The shop is just right at the main road, you definitely won’t miss it. The duck noodle…DELICIOUS! You have to try it!
Heading back though was tough! I would categorize this as one of my toughest climb after Fraser, Jugra & Hantu. Peras reverse is definitely challenging. Pretty steep too and I have to maxed-out my cassette most of the time. I’m using Sram 10-33T.
A couple of incidents, tyre puncture, cramp but everyone got back safe at least.
Great experience, will definitely give it another go.
