This 2021 model BT50 is in the early stages of being fitted out for touring, it already has a TJM bull bar and STEDI LED driving lights. The 2 inch suspension lift is base on a set f Tough Dog Suspension and the Dick Cepek Trail Country tyres on FUEL alloy rims.
The Rhino Pioneer Roofrack on the cab combined with the RSI canopy means that there is plenty of storage for camping gear. We install the AX27 Clamshell Rooftop Tent and the 270 XT MAX Awning to provide the ultimate camp setup.

Can those roof top tents be fitted to an arb canopy? I'm concerned about the weight they can hold, but that whole setup is exactly what I want to do to my 21 dmax

Nice setup! That canopy, that's separate from the tent, right? So I can use a Roofnest brand pop up tent instead of that one? I'm considering a new F150 Raptor, the RSI Smartcap (though don't know if I should get the Sport or Adventure, a Roofnest pop up tent, torn between the newest Condor2 or Sparrow2, and seeing that canopy set up I think I'd like one of those too. Have been considering a smooth, black Diamondback HD bedcover instead of the RSI Smartcap.

I have an XT 180 and I am considering a tx27. How the hell do you get in the tent with the awning open ?

looks great. Can the Max be mounted further back so we can use our rear ladder to access our rooftop tent?

Reply, Hi Alan, not really as there has to be a mount attached to the main hinge bracket at each end. Access for the tent is through the side when the awning is deployed.

How do you get access to the track rail on the roof to add more hardware in the track for other components like rack crossbar. It only comes with 4 nuts in each track.

@@TheBushCompany Hi Dean. Basically it could be the roof of my Dmax with brackets to the top of your AX tent. I am governed by the garage entrance and door. The lower profile would be desirable. Many thanks for your reply. Would you be showing your equipment range at the Perth 4x4 show in November. Regards Albert

@@albertattwood8746 HI Albert, the tent itself is 280mm form the base of the extrusion mounting rail to the roof rail on the tent. The lowest profile we have been able to achieve is by using our rooftop tent load bars which flush mount to the rails on the roof of the canopy (at least they do on the Rhinoman Canopies), the load bar is only 25mm thick. You must also aim to have at least 30mm between the lowest point on the tent and the roof of the cab to accomodate for flex in the chassis.
