Grandissimo come sempre!!!!!
Ottimo video come sempre, tanto lavoro e tanta passione dietro, grazie! Buona pasqua...e buona quarantena!
I use an industrial UV lamp, with its own transformer. Make sure that you wear goggles that block the dangerous bands of UV. UV-C and UV-A are worse than UV-B, according to the literature. There are also penetrating sprays that can reveal tiny cracks in any material (the crack will fluoresce under UV-A), but you need to shop carefully. However, cracking on nitrocellulose finishes is natural.
Thank you for your kind feedback Michael Angel, I'm happy that you enjoyed the video! Please feel free to browse among the other content of the BTR channel!
I'm flattered for the kind feedback from such a qualified source! I've been visiting your shop in Amsterdam, your work is amazing! Please feel free to keep in touch : )
Hi Andrew, possibly you would need more scientific advice than I can provide. The rule of thumb is that older materials or finishes received more radiation from sunlight and glow more intensely under black light; there are plenty of exceptions though.
Hello@@HD-Daddy, sorry for the silly joke in my previous message. Actually I don't think the thickness of the nitro finish can determine different hues of the black light reflection. I think that a different hue usually detects a discontinuity in materials, such as a partial refinish. I would tend to think that your guitar has not all original finish, provided that it looks exactly like the refinished Les Paul Deluxe in the video.
Hello Samba C,, as I say in the last episode, for "Vintage guitars" we usually mean guitars built during the 50 years from the mid 1920's to the mid 1970's so "increasing number" is supposed to be a nonsense.
@@BobsToneReview I understand that , none the less, more guitars are becoming vintage. Many 70s Japanese copies of classic American guitars are excellent instruments , steadily climbing in price, for instance. The insane collectibility of certain instruments that has the best ones in vaults, as investments not in the hands of player is a tragedy.
Ha! Ha! Thank you Wafiy, undeserved compliments, of course I'm backed by a professional speaker overdubbing my speech : ) If you like the content, subscribe to the channel and keep an eye; I promise my anchorman's skills will improve!
@@BobsToneReview yupp- i like the content and please do not change how the way you talk. Its like watching an old movie how rich high class people would talk😂 keep it up.. I’m subscribing
This guy comes across as an SNL - parody. All you need is a small curly UV bulb you can get at Home Depot or Lowes. It has to be fluorescent or it doesn't work. I collect Vaseline glass and use it for the same reason. I am going to look at all of my vintage - original and refinned - guitars tonight.
