In some clips it can seem like all the members are fighting for Jimin’s attention because they know he’ll always give them the reaction they want. There’s a reason why 5 of 6 members said Jimin knows them the best, they all said he gives the best hugs, he’s the one they go to for comfort. He really brings out something special in all of them. It’s a given that everyone in a group won’t get along exactly as well with everyone, but somehow Jimin seem to have a particularly deep and special connection with all the other members. He’s just so incredibly emotionally intelligent.

You're absolutely right when you said that yoongi does something because he knows jimin will react 😂 they're known as Tom and Jerry cuz they bicker a lot and yoongi admitted that he teases jimin a lot cuz he finds his reactions funny/amusing 😂

I think it was when Taeyang was on Suchwita… Yoongi said “If hard work is a talent, Jimin is a genius.” I think he REALLY values Jimin and has unending respect for him. And that is massively reciprocated. 💜

A Korean American reacted to this and he was surprised at how respectfully Jimin spoke to Suga, since they've lived together for years and Jimin could speak more casually to Suga.

This Suchwita episode confirms what I believe: Jimin's relationship with Suga is his safe place, where he can be the guy in sweatpants who acts goofy and is accepted and loved; the place where he can get honest advice; and the place where he knows he is always welcomed. What a great friendship on display here.

watching your analysis made me realize that they're my favorite duo because together they're not only extremely goofy but also very insightful, they both feel things a lot and can have long serious conversations that won't have any dull moment. i really love that dynamic

Yoongi and Jimin were recently on a talk show together! I hope you react to that as well, it was so good! I love their dynamic and how easily they switch between bickering/ teasing and deep conversations. I think Jimin is at his sassiest with Yoongi, he doesn’t let him get away with anything 😂

Jimin is Yoongi's favorite and no one can convince me otherwise. They may bicker like an old married couple, but Yoongi is always there - be it with words or actions - to pick Jimin up when needed. No one is harder on Jimin than Jimin himself, but Yoongi is there to cheer him on.

Suga have A HUGE soft spot for jimin.

I love this episode. Jimin is Suga’s fave. Suga gets goofy around Jimin openly is becoz Jimin understands him. Jimin says Suga is like a BABY around him but with the group he is like the grandpa. Suga always believed in Jimin’s potential, his voice and his dance.

Jimin laughs a lot, he’s the first one who always laugh not just with YG 😂 Jin loves him with for being the only one who laughs about his jokes.

Jimin and Yoongi have such a great relationship! I don’t think I’VE seen Yoongi so animated as he is when Jimin is around! They are so much fun together!💜💜

these 2 are probably the first duo that the fandom loved immediately after debut. "yoonmin videos" have been flooding youtube since 2013 up until this day and it's def because of their undeniable love and caring for each other. i'm always happy to see yoonmin get the love and support they deserve in everything they do 🥺

I love Yoogi and Jimin's dynamic out of all the members. They're just fun and comforting to watch. I wish we see more of them together to talk about themselves

So there is this material at weverse, that I don't remember exactly what it was, but it asked the guys to say one of their abilities and Jimin wrote "professional suga handler", so they have a special relationship 💜

Yoongi is full of culture, the result of much reading, study and observation because he is calm and quiet prone to deep reflections. I read in some article that he is getting a doctorate, so discreet and humble, he finished his master's degree and never talked about it...I admire and respect him a lot!

Their dynamic have been my fav since I enter the fandom in 2015. BIG bickering old married couple energy. If you watch old clips of them from like 2013, 2014, yoongi was super goofy esp around jimin. He was the teasing older bro for a long time until one day jimin learn how to counter attack 😂😂😂 Jimin thinks suga’s shyness, occasional awkwardness, random energy boost and difficulty to express emotion extremely endearing because, as you said, Jimin could probably read him the best out of all of them. Suga thinks Jimin is cute and admirable. They both have soft soots for each other and will tease each other relentlessly. They’re always hilarious to watch. 😂❤

Suga said on his "radio program" for his new album (Weverse Live) that he has changed since starting Suchwita, and feels much more comfortable being in social situations & shows. He and Jimin were on Ddeun Ddeun, and he seemed very relaxed there. You can see how much he has gotten comfortable, and just willing to talk and interact even with people he doesn't know well. 💜

Suga once said that the closer you get to someone, the more important it is to be respectful while talking to them. I don't want to use words like Bias or Bias wrecker but if I had to, then Suga would definitely be my bias

Yoongi has always been supported Jimin and pushing him in his music. I've picked up from other conversations how much he really loves passing on his knowledge and mentoring younger idols, but it's a really special connection with Jimin. He believes in him SO MUCH and it's something Jimin really needs since he's so hard on himself. Plus he knows Yoongi isn't going to feed him BS or mince words. If he's saying it, he believes it.

15:25 in a recent Weverse Live Jimin mentioned he is proud of himself and his solo album. This gives me peace.

Suga smiled so much in this interview. I think we saw more of his relaxed shoulders and big grin than ever before. Their relationship makes me very happy. So much bickering and teasing with so much trust and love under it. They really understand each other, and Jimin can get Suga laughing like no one else. I think you're spot on with why Jimin responds to him the way he does. They're so well matched. Over the years Jimin has grown in confidence and self-assurance, and Suga has been more able to be open and vulnerable, and I'd bet money that they learned a lot of that from each other. They just make me so happy. And I'm also most similar to Jimin, and extremely drawn to Yoongi, so... Yeah me too 😂

Absolutely agree! Yoongi and Jimin have always had this kind of friendship, they bicker at each other but love each other immensely. Suga has always been a great fan of Jimin's vocal talent and given him great advice. And I love how comfortable he is when talking to Jimin. Like he said, he cannot act this way around other guests.

So the members always say that Yoongi will “always” pick Jimin. When they need Yoongi to do something….they have Jimin ask him cuz he never says no to Jimin😍🥲💜

We see Suga's goofiness when he feels relaxed and happy, so a lot of it comes out in Run BTS, their variety show and also the trips and staycations they have taken with the group. We can clearly see he loves hanging out with Jimin, they have always supported each other and Suga has always listened to and advised Jimin, who has a true appreciation for his Hyungs, but especially Yoongi. I love their friendship and that they have each other in their lives.

I totally agree with you about JIMIN being overly humble - I sometimes wish he would see himself more clearly and his talents. He's such an amazing performer...there's really no one like him

As Armies we know how much these two feel for each other and how Yoongi loves teasing Jimin and how much he loves him and appreciate his talent and his vocals.Yoongi knew it at the first time that Jimin will be an amazing singer and he gave him support to beleive in himself. I think the most memorable thing form this episode for me was when yoongi told him " if hard work was a talent then you are a genius" ! I cried😭. Thanks Max for your reactions 🥰

I think that’s just Bts as a group, but especially Jimin. He is a top performer and is continuously working and pleasing his fans yet he feels like he isn’t doing enough and he lacks. It’s crazy, but really shows you how perfectionist feel.

I am an older ARMY, so have maternal feelings toward these incredibly talented boys (my ARMY daughters introduced me). Yoongi is studying psychology and wish to get a certificate for it so he could give counseling to people. Yoongi is a philosophical person, and he went through a lot of personal trauma during his younger years, and him learning more about human and their behavior -- these give him a broader perspective of things. I would love to sit and talk to Yoongi about life.

Yoongi and Jimin are honestly such a wholesome, goofy duo.. I laughed so much when I watched this episode. And you're right, Jimin does bring out this silly mischievous side of Yoongi. They are known for bickering, but it's always hilarious and full of love.

It is really interesting to have watched Jimin on the Jimmy Fallon Show recently and then to watch this because Jimin is so shy on that other show. Here, he is himself...but still shy! Imagine what it must be like to have someone of Suga’s immense talent and innate wisdom to believe in you. I hope that Jimin can believe more in himself, I think he has some kind of imposter syndrome which is madness because he is so insanely talented. I’d be unbearable if I had only half his talent. 😂

I love your content. And I have also noticed a comfort between Jimin and Suga that is different than how he interacts with others in the group, with whom he tends to be a caretaker. His relationship with Suga seems more even/adult/assertive.

Loved it! Yeah, Suga appreciates the talent & hard work. Maybe seeing how vulnerable Jimin can be, he wants to protect his heart so he reassures & places his mirror in front of Jimin b/c Jimins might be broken. For Jimin, suga is wise but can be closed up or socially awkward & he finds that adorable and knows how to bring out more of that from Suga. They are eachothers bare naked support. After Sugas surgery, it was Jimin w/ him seeing him struggle. For a Tsudere to allow someone to see you weak & sweating speaks volumes as to how trusted and special you are to them. Jimin understands what a gift that is. Not to say the Suga doesn't have the same w/ all but it's definitely different and deeper. At first Suga hid when he was sweet w/ the others but it seems from footage he could play & tease Jimin. They bickered like an old married couple it was great. Now that they are older and Jimin has grown in production, they can share even more.

I love how when Jimin is taken over by laughter….he has to fall on the ground. I find it a very endearing quality he has. Hugging these too. They are wonderful together.

after having watched this more mature yoongi and jimin talk and be emotionally comfortable (and vulnerable) with each other, it would be entertaining for max to watch one of the classic compilations of them bickering and sniping at each other. it would be a hilarious contrast

BTS is so humble and most of us truly appreciates that they worked hard for everything they have. Although they are wealthy, they remain relatively grounded, eating ramen, supporting each other and being courteous even when exhausted... you can't help but aspire to be a better person as well!

I love your analysis. Yes, Yoongi is straightfoward and in many times he speaks savagely honest. And Jimin as a Libran will always honor honesty and prefer someone who speaks straightforward to him. They match each other.

I would be very grateful if you appreciated something related to Jimin and Hobi. I didn't notice their friendship before, but now, when the guys are doing solo activities, I saw it. they seem to be glued to each other. they've been roommates for a long time and i really feel like a hobi is the one jimin is closest to the most.

I'm a lot like yoongi personally and coincidently I also admire people like jimin. Like he's completing or bring something i don't have.

I love how Yoongi will always prop Jimin up whenever he tends to talk negatively about himself. Jimin really is his own worst critic and I am happy that Yoongi doesn't let him get away with that and always reminds him of how special he thinks Jimin is.

Hey Max!! I think I have a pretty great suggestion.. recently iu and Yoongi did an episode in iu’s palette and I would SOOOO recommend it!! They joke around and Yoongi teases her quite a lot lol :)

I’ve been catching up on the episodes and came across your reaction. Boy you were pretty spot on. I’ve been with army for a very long time. These two could not be more different. In the beginning Jimin worked triple the amount the others did. Lack of confidence and trying to hard to be “good enough”. Jimin doesn’t believe he’ll let himself down. It’s all about others with Jimin. As a trainee he worried he would disappoint his parents. As a member it’s bts and the fans. Yoongi came with lots of baggage. Fans called him unfeeling and cold. Very serious and unemotional. Didn’t like receiving or giving affection. Would stiffen or pull away if touched. Then a bond happened. Yoongi saw how special Jimin was and made sure he never would forget it. Constantly letting Jimin know what makes him unique and stopping Jimin from belittling himself. Awww and Jimin. Jimin I believe gave Yoongi his belly laugh. He let Jimin hug him and though it finally happened that Yoongi wrote letters and told two members in the letter he loved them which was difficult for him. He said the words out loud to Jimin in front of all the members. They banter because they can! I guess what the bottom line is that they complete what’s missing in each other. If you watch episode 95% of the time suga mentions Jimin or makes reference to him. They admire in each other what the other lacks and have love and respect for each other.

Jimin and Yoongi are my two biases, I absolutely adore both of them, and I love their deep respect and love for each other - their brotherhood is inspirational because it’s so real, they bicker like crazy at times but they always support each other, their affection is obvious and genuine. Recently jimin attended few variety shows and talk shows alone for promotion and you could really see how much comfortable he is with his members when compared to others cause he was really shy or awkward I must say

I love their bond so much. They bring out the sassiness and goofiness in each other through their bickering one second and the next they're having deep, insightful conversations about difficult topics. I feel like Jimin can read Yoongi like an open book which causes Yoongi to feel the most comfortable around him. He's rarely as relaxed and goofy as he is around Jimin. And Jimin's emotional intelligence never fails to amaze me. I believe that it's his compassion, empathy and care for each of the members that allows him to connect with all of them on such a deep level. But this duo in particular showcases incredible emotional maturity and communication skills. They seem to understand each other on a different level. They match and reciprocate each other's energy so well. Your interpretation of their relationship was spot-on!

i've always loved Yoonmin's relationship because, as you said, Jimin is a very perceptive guy and I always got the feeling that he really sought after reactions from the more "reserved" members like Yoongi and Jungkook. They've always teased each other, but as they've grown up, their respect and fondness has oozed out and you can just tell, compared to the past, that they really understand one another.

I think because Jimin has a less intense personality than some of the other members who are very openly perfectionists, it can be easy to forget how ambitious he is. I loved this conversation, how Jimin opened up about what motivates him and his feelings of lack and how Yoongi listened and lifted him up without being dismissive. I've been thinking about it a lot since I watched. Thank you for adding your perspective.

They’re my first and favorite duo. They made me army in the first place. At that time I watched every “Yoonmin bickering” videos. I was so happy when this episode was out. I can watch them talking many many times.

Las veces que SUGA se ha enojado muy fuerte no me hablaba a nadie x días y al staff tampoco, por eso llamaban a JIMIN para que lo calmara,era al único que deja pasar a su dormitorio y le cambiaba su humor. SUGA me tiene un gran aprecio a nuestro Ángel JIMIN.

Suga says don't look into jimins eyes or you'll feel like you are falling in to him

6:19 funny that you said that because jimin often mention how yoongi avoids looking at him right in the eye and jimin likes to tease him for it which is why he always leans forward, trying to catch yoongi's eyes. I think yoongi doesn't look at jimin's eyes because how intense jimin's look towards him and he feels shy about it, also he mentioned how you can feel like falling in love if you look into jimin's eyes😂

Jimin and Suga went on something called "It's just an excuse He's my friend"...or something along those lines that has 3 older celebrities they know....I really loved Suga's personality during it ...They just sit and talk but he seemed so relaxed

All I could say is that watching BTS for many years I've seen how Young Love Jimin and rise versa they respect each other... But I saw Jimin is the one BTS member who seems to be close to each members..

💜💜Jimin is indeed a bit of a mystery. I think he is a very sensitive person, but also very empathetic. He always puts the feelings of others first, sometimes as a way to soothe himself. It's almost as if he can't be comfortable if someone around him is uncomfortable. He feels their discomfort. So he tries very hard not to be the source of that discomfort. I think he keeps a lot inside, and is a deep thinker. There's always more to him than what we see.💜💜

Ahhh... I wish you could see how Yoongi talked with Tablo, his muse, in Suchwita. They are very inspirational and you may know how Namjoon and Yoongi had their philosophical approach in their music ^^

Jimin is very much a perfectionist. He says he's been working at loving himself more, and not being so hard on himself, but that perfectionism's a really hard thing to let go of. I'm not sure it's something you CAN let go of without help. I think at some point, when you doubt yourself and your own abilities, you have to trust your close friends and mentors to give you an honest assessment, and *trust* them when they say you've done well.

you made me realize what's special about yoonmin (jimin and yoongi bond), when you said that Jimin appreciates Yoongi's authenticity as an emotionally open and perceptive. also yeah Jimin is a perfectionist and very very hard on himself, I'm glad that he had Yoongi who has always supported him, he deserves so much support it's like he doesn't see how good amd important he is and how hard his work is, now I am in no way even close to the level of hard work that jimin or the boys are in but as a perfectionist I can relate, and interesting how yoongi os the type of person who gets surprised when the person he thinks highly doesn't appreciate themselves, I always notice that with him and Jimin.
