I’m so glad Yoongi got to collaborate with Ryuichi Sakamoto, who played the piano in this song. He was apparently one of Yoongi’s earliest inspirations to become a musician after his parents took him to see The Last Emperor. Woosung has a fantastic voice. His band The Rose are well worth checking out.
@@komerican-og When I checked out Woosung, a couple of his other songs, he wasn't using this voice and the songs were not moving like this, so he is capable of much more than he seems to have done so far. I was amazed how well he sang here & is cute, and like why have I never heard of him? I hope he gets Suga to write & produce some songs for him. He has a very charming personality. I saw a show where he took a lie detector test with someone asking entertaining questions. Some people are saying he lives in L.A., but he lives in Thousand Oaks a bit north of L.A. which as the name indicates is an area of 'forest' an area about 10 miles east of Malibu. I think some of the wildfires in the last couple years touched Thousand Oaks. I think your assessment of Suga's song is on the mark. Suga/Agust D is immensely talented. I think he has the most music depth of any BTS member. He asks thoughtful questions on his talk show. Multi-talented.
@@CAL-jj4omthe only other group other than BTS that resonated with me was The Rose. You may have listened to Woosung's solo projects and may not be as heart wrenching as this but I suggest listening to their old songs like She's In The Rain. I cried my heart out on that. It's like another take to pain similar to RM's Forever Rain. They also have a song dedicated to their fandom, Black Rose. 😊🥀
suga said he made this song to give all the younger artists who look up to bts strength especially their hoobaes in the idol industry. its just so unfortunate the timing of its release not only after ryuichi but also moonbin of astro. so many of us cant help but think of him and if the song couldve helped him :( i hope this song helps any other idols who may feel that way. its such a beautiful song.
He did help so many people I was the one that saved by AgustD When I was feel so depressed I heard his songs title " people" I love him since then His songs motivated me to move forward
I’m a failed artist, 62, single mom, working fulltime. Suga inspires me to keep up the fight or my art. I wish I had known his music when my environment tried full force to kill my art dreams. They nearly succeeded but not quite.
When Yoongi was at BTS in the Soop working with a creative group from HYBE, a singer could be heard in the background practicing. Yoongi kept encouraging him to belt out the lyrics. I think it was Woosung. They worked so well together. This is so beautiful.
Suga is so very talented and an amazing performer. Woosung has a beautiful voice. So pleased Suga was able to work with the great Ryuichi Sakamoto, such a shame about his passing.
Woosung (Sammy) is the leader of The Rose. He grew up in the states (kind of like you, John). I discovered the Rose earlier this year and was so impressed by them that I had to know their names (only 4 members, so it was easy). They are an indie-rock K-band who play instruments. The 2 founding members started out by busking in Hongdae. As for this new Suga song, Snooze, I love it so much. It’s so beautiful! Woosung’s voice was perfect in it. I am so sad that Sakamoto-san has left this world - may he rest in peace.🙏🏼
Check out some solo songs by Woosung and also his band The Rose. His voice is so unique and beautiful, so glad to see this collab with Suga. He’s from California, the rest of the band is Korean.
Really liked your reaction! I think you would really like Woosung's own music or his music with his band The Rose. They're a very underrated korean band and mostly make indie-rock music, would love to see you reacting to them! :)
This song is so beautiful, all of it. But I swear I could listen to Yoongi say "everything will be okay" in Korean, on a loop. He is such a master at creating music that reveals human angst, & then he soothes it. I feel like he's some sort of healer sometimes in his lyrics & how he uses his voice & repetition, like a chant or mantra. And Woosung... I agree... haunting voice.
Wooseung is one of the two main vocalists of The Rose. I was very surprised and happy when I saw his collaboration to Suga. I suggest you to know The Rose and their new album Heal and their Heal Project.
Thank you for your love and support for me and my career🎼, I hope that you will not stop supporting me😊💕💕 I am really very pleased that all of you have been around all these years of my career.I appreciate your support and warm comments, I want to say thank you very much I humbly appreciate you, and also have a blessed week God bless you✌️✌️ where are you from…? 💞🎼🪕🫂🌺💐
There are so many layers to our Yoongi. So many. He's very deep in his lyrics and performances. 💜😼💜 I LOVE this sound with both Yoongi and Woosung! Perfect match! Only someone who has been in such multiple hurts and pain can write lyrics like these. Yoongi has lived 100 lives in his short lifetime.
Incredible track, beautiful exchange with Ryuichi Sakamoto in his docu, Woosung's voice conveys the perfect emotional charge and it was outstanding live!
Woosung is from America but started doing music in Korea from my understanding. He never intended on doing music for a living but life I guess you could say took him their. From what I remember (I could be wrong) he actually went on some Korean competition show, at first he didn’t really care but the more he got into the more he realized that music might actually be something he would want to do and started becoming more serious about it. From my memory the other band members of, The Rose, asked if he wanted to join their band and he said sure…. I believe the company they were in though screwed them over so that had to part ways with the company. Idk if they are independent or not now but this is pretty much all I know…. (Black Rose if I got anything wrong let me know. I am more of a casual listener to The Rose but I do love quite a few of their songs)
I’m pretty sure they’re back to being an indie band now, yeah. Woosung formed his own small company to support his band’s activities. It’s named after his dog.
@@komerican-og Oh, wait. I got some of the details wrong. The label named after his dog (Woolfpack) just takes care of his solo career. The label behind The Rose (still their own independent label) is Windfall, named after the band Dojoon, Jaehyeong, and Hajoon were in before meeting Woosung.
This song is so beautiful. I was super excited when I heard about this collab because I am a fan of a lot of The Rose’s music (I learned about them like in 2022) (Besides being an ARMY of course). Woosung has one of my favorite voices (besides the BTS members). Some of The Rose recommendations: -Childhood -Sorry (debut song) -Definition of ugly is -She’s in the Rain -Lazy by Woosung -Phase Me by Woosung -I.L.Y Black Rose (The Rose fanbase) what would you recommend for him to listen to?
I freaking love Woosung❤ His husky rock voice fits the song so well, Goosebumps! 🥹 please do check out The Rose band, their songs are amazing. I would recommend their old songs like She’s in the Rain, Sorry, I Dont Know You, Take Me Down, ILY, Red and their latest album HEAL is good too 😊
Yoongi has sampled his own song 'so far away ft suran' in the last part of the song where he talks about dream. Give a listen to it, it's a great song.
Omgg that’s what I said about it feeding the soul!! I first heard it in bed in complete darkness and I heard it and wept. And the singing and geez both beautiful men just…. It is everything I get goosebumps when I hear it 💜💜💜💜
This song is materpiece.. i feel hopefull ,sad ,happy that this is out for us.. i hope the message come across the world.. and recieved it. I am full of emotional even i heard this repeatedly .. coz i cant stop.listening to it..
Woosung is part of K Band The Rose. I love Woosung’s voice and a lot of songs The Rose have released. They have been around for 7 years but took a hiatus for military enlistment.
This song is so profound and beautiful, one of my favorite of D Day. I didn't know Woosung either but I listen to some of his songs this week and I really like him, he seems like a very grounded person and so talented... Snooze remind me a lot of Epik High Lost One (We've Done Something Beautiful, 2017), I think it's the same subject and it moved me to tears. Ah, I'm so jealous of the people going to the concerts too, I watched clips and it looks amazing. Have a good day, love 💜
