And that means they're not as strict on the choreo and joke around more, like you see here. This is calm tho, if would recommend "war of hormones" real war version, as well as "one more day" appeal version, as well as "what you missed in one more day, fun version" (editing because I keep writing the versions wrong 🙄)

If you watch a video called "What u missed while watching Baepsae". It will show u a lot of things that the guys do that u missed or maybe u were watching whoever was up front. However I don't think I have ever seen someone point out that Jimin almost loses his hat, but somehow stays on his head, the whole time he was dancing...very impressive. It happens during V's second time up front. Watch Jimin and how his hat come lose and than just pops up and comes right back down on his head.

This is the sixth track featured on the album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2 and the eighth track of CD 1 of the album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever. Here is the explanation of this song through some of its lines: THEY CALL ME TRY-HARD The original lyrics is « They call me 뱁새 »..“뱁새” pronounced baepsae, literally means crowtit, is a small bird with short legs. In the context of the lyrics, baepsae is translated as try-hard. There is a Korean saying « 뱁새가 황새 걸음을 걸으면 가랑이가 찢어진다 » « When crow-tit walk like stork, its crotch will tear » Since crowtits have short legs, if it tries to walk like a long-legged stork, it will break its legs and fail miserably. This expression is used to remind people to stay in their lane and not try to go for something that’s out of their reach/capabilities. BTS uses crowtits to symbolize the youth generation of Korea, who don’t have the resources and opportunities afforded to the previous generations, yet are expected to produce the same level of performance and results. Here BTS is playing on a common reference, 3 포 세대 pronounced sanpo sedae, which is used to describe millennials who have given up dating, marriage, and having children due to economic instability. Later on it evolved into 5 포 세대 Opo sedae which added employment and housing due to unaffordable housing costs and high youth unemployment. That turned into 7 포 세대 Chilpo sedae which added interpersonal relationships and hope. In the lyrics BTS used the term 몇 포 세대 N-po sedae, signifying that this generation has given up on everything. RM also referred to sanpo sedae and opo sedae in his lyrics of DOPE. THIS AIN’T NORMAL THIS AIN’T NORMAL This entire song is written in 반말, or informal speech. It’s important to note that Korea is a socially hierarchical nation, and formalities are valued highly in society. It is BTS’s method of breaking free from these tight restrictions of speaking informally instead of always addressing the superiors with a respectful tone. By doing this, BTS are expressing how they have lost respect for some people in the older generations. The line repeats with “this isn’t normal” twice, however, every line ends with 야, which is an informal address to their target audience. It’s like saying, “HEY YOU!” and has a confronting aspect to it. This note WASN’T written by me, but by “wishi,” it can be found in the Hangul version of the lyrics. The word normal could also be translated as top, as to say “we haven’t made it yet”, “we haven’t caught up to the storks yet” AH, TRY HARDER, AH, TRY HARDER “try harder” translates from a phrase often spoken by older adults in Korea to younger people. They’re basically just saying “you need to work harder” as a solution for any problem. For example: kid: “oh I’m having a difficult time finding housing that I can afford because i am underpaid at my internship” adult: “try harder” The interesting part is that that Taehyung drags out the word, saying it in a sarcastic tone that mocks the phrase, and those who use it. I HAVE CROW-TIT LEGS,AND YOU HAVE STORK'S LEGS A crow-tit or 뱁새 (baebsae) is a bird in the paradoxornis or related genera found especially in Korea. This line comes from a Korean saying “뱁새가 황새 걸음을 걸으면 가랑이 가 찢어진다” which translates to, “if a crow-tit walks like a stork, it will break its legs”, meaning if you overdo something or try to imitate someone better than you to make yourself look more/better than you are, you will just bring more hardship upon yourself. I know it's long but the texts and the commitments of BTS are worth the detour and it's through that that we understand the coherence of the choreography... Thank you.

Baepsae choreo is killing me

Definitely a bop, which is weird because the song is about the extreme wealth gap and the fact that upward mobility is almost non-existent in Korea. The title is based off a Korean proverb about a large bird and a small bird. That is why RM kept doing the little flapping wings gesture. V's verse was saying that people should quit saying to just work harder because it doesn't help. They are already working hard and saying that just makes their feet more tired. Suga was pointing out the differences in their situations because of their circumstances. RM's part leading into the chorus was about how poor people and young people want change, but the people with the money (and therefore the power) want to maintain the status quo.
