If you have to ask that, even in a rhetorical way, then it means that it's definitely necessary. Whatever it is. I'm guessing it's something adult or sexual? They have to keep drumming this image into people because they want to be seen for what they are now, mature adults. Not young lads. They're not innocent, very obviously judging by the facial expressions and movements on stage and other things. JK has some very mature lyrics in one of his songs doesn't he? They wanna get rid of this ute innocent image and be accepted for what they are now.
