The theme of the album released in 2019 was somewhat connected to the greek mythology. before the Dionysus performance itself every member had a solo performance with some of remixes of their biggest songs over their seven years, each member represent a god or goddess • V (Taehyung), No More Dream Remix (2013), Apolo, god of the sun • Jin, Danger (2014). Athena, goddess of wisdom and war, or Ares, god of war. stage point to the battle of Troy and the Trojan Horse • Jimin, I Need U (2015), Artemis, goddess of the moon and twin to Apollo • Suga, Fire (2016) Hephaestus, god of fire, or Hades, god of the underworld • Jungkook, Save Me (2016), Poseidon, god of the sea • J-Hope, Fake Love (2018), Zeus, god of lightning and thunder • RM, Dionysus (2019), Dionysus himself, god of wine and art, complete with thyrsus - wooden wand entwined with ivy and grape leaves, a symbol of prosperity, fertility, hedonism, and pleasure/enjoyment in general, it's compared to a mic. Dionysus is a God often called Eleutherios which means the liberator, because his wine, music and ecstatic dance freed his followers from self-consciousness and the restraints of society. As BTS compare wine to the art in the song, they are Dionysus of music industry, the gods of music and dance, who gift their listeners freedom, food for thought and a helping hand to be strong and be better seven lights that were hanging down formed the Corona Borealis - the constellation that represents the crown of Ariadne, given to her before the marriage to Dionysus, made by the god Hephaestus Perdón si hay errores pero estoy usando el traductor saludos desde México espero estés muy bien 💜
oye! salio bien! I completely missed that entire theme, but now that you say that it makes sense, thank you so much for this! I appreciate you letting me in on the know!
My favorite moment is Jimin's dance solo. It is the most beautiful contemporary dance i have ever seen which is saying something since i have watched every season of so you think you can dance. ❤❤
I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this performance with hundreds reactors.. and every time I enjoy watching it every single time as for the first time! Jimin’s solo dance every time is breathtaking! Love it!
I was pretty shocked they were able to get water on to the stage like that, and with those dance shoes, I know that that would be so slick to be in, so it is a lot more impressive than just meets the eye.
@@Killdeer25 Just let you know that Jungkook’s dance performance with water pool that you were watching was prerecorded one & so other BTS member’s like Jin, Suga, Jhope, V also was prerecorded one as well. Only Jimin & RM’s performances was real live performances.
no other performance comes close to this i have never seen anything so amazing in my life. and just the Jimin solo dance is the most beautiful i have seen he looks like an angel flying in the sky. if any other kpop group or soloist have sone something similiar please do recommend i have not seen anything like that before. BTW taemin jimin and Kai are really good freinds jimin and taemin did a dance challenge togehter resently
I always say I don't want a perfect BTS, I want a REAL BTS. To hear that breathing, the vocal fry, the wobbles, that means they are REALLY singing and dancing. There is nothing fake in what they do and that is what I love the most. Just note there are two main award shows, MMA and MAMA. They both have different stages so it is worth watching both.💜
I even love the mistakes. I don't love it when a voice cracks because I know the member will be upset, but if they just flub a dance step and laugh about it, it's great 😁 And I agree - I'd far rather hear an imperfect vocal. It doesn't hurt that their imperfect is damn good, but still - give me Jin's breath pops & Jimin's creaks please 😅
yesss! this is exactly how I feel, like it wasnt meant as a slam, I was kinda hoping that it didnt come across as a slam or bad. I wanted it to come across that even though it wasnt perfect, they adapt and the command of the stage is so cruicial, their texture and vocal tone and color is way more important
I totally agree with you I love hearing them live ! I don’t know how they ever dance and sing !!! I workout to intense cardio n trying to sing the song I am doing cardio is almost impossible to do .. they do this for hours dancing and singing so I expect to hear breathing or their voices wobble but it’s never much .. and I do love that they sing amazing live and give just this amazing performance every time !!! I have been Army since 2016 that’s when I started my BTS journey ! They have truly made me believe in myself and love myself their is just something about these boys that are pure , humble , loving and giving ! 💜 I am so glad I found them .. they say we find BTS when we need them n I find this to be true for me and so many Army’s ! Enjoy your Journey ! 💜
So many of us were metal heads who were looking for something extra, exciting and we landed here. I've seen them 3 hours in concert and it was like they were super human BEASTS. They started their Love Yourself concerts with Dionysus. Can you imagine starting with Dionysus? One workout/performance after another, 3 hours and still singing live. Incredible! Also, one of my favorite lines in a song is; "The Brightest stars shine in the darkest night. The drones flying the backgrounds, again, Incredible. Just their stamina!!!!
yess! I wish I had their energy stamina... and knees hahaha! yeah, you know I really love Metal and it still takes up the majority of everything I listen to (for now) but I will say that I have been enjoying this just as much, it doesnt feel like everyone is having a pissing contest
They won 4 grand prizes this night, first ever Kpop group to ever win all 4. Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year. They also won the 4 grand prizes in MAMA 2019. So proud of them! 😊
I saw JK talking and he said that he did not want to spend much time with the vocal coaches because he felt he was losing the individual character of his voice so instead he practiced all the time. By himself.
I think he was so smart for that, the singer of Nightwish (Tarja) said something almost identical to this. I think there is a good spot to know where it can take away your personal touch but not before you learn everything you need to
BTS may not have the most technically or trained voices in the world but what they have is unique and authentic voices that resonate with people. They and their company go all out spending millions on providing platforms and performances to make BTS stand head next shoulders above all other artists, not just for one show but every mv,every performance and every concert. HYBE put money into their artists unlike most other companies, BTS put the effort above and beyond so that ARMY are entertained and connected to them.
yeah! I think thats kinda what I was saying, like out of any group i think I can listen to them and point out and say thats V or that JK, its nice because I cant do that hardly ever
And the fact that Bighit along with BTS built HYBE from almost nothing is just beyond incredible! The amount of hardwork, vision and faith in themselves that must have been necessary for doing this is so commendable and inspiring!
@@Killdeer25They've talked before about how they focused on each member developing his own vocal color... instead of trying to sound alike. It's true of the rappers too, they have different delivery styles.. and even true of their dance, now. It was one of the first things I loved about BTS. They're celebrating each member's unique strengths. It's how you get a group of 7 that can all be successful soloists as well. They use their different sounds to add texture and dimension. I think it's brilliant and I love it. It also makes it pointless to argue about who's the best - because every voice deserves to be (and is) someone's favorite. Love these guys 😅
@evantesseract737 I think that was the right choice, recognizable voices is so important, like I said I like that I can hear a song and be able to pick out each member individually
@@Killdeer25 It was one of the first things I connected with too - and just like you, I had to get used to it at first. Now I love the moments when I can't tell 🤣 sometimes on a high harmony it's a challenge 😁
It is hard to pick a favorite part, but I think Jimin's dance here was breathtaking. :) So glad you enjoyed watching this. BTS always give us amazing performances!
Jimin's dance here is one of his favorite moments too (he brought it up on Suchwita) which made me feel so good. For me it's breathtaking every single time, just so beautiful.
Hi, 47 yo ARMY here who grew up on great rock acts like Queen, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Offspring, Garbage,... You might be surprised to know that a lot of rock fans and metalheads actually love BTS. Boracity Magazine, who is herself a metalhead turned ARMY, did a great video essay called BTS Are Rockstars on why that I think you should watch. I think you'd really like it. 💜😉👍💜 (Oh, and totally with you on Onew. My dream collab for years has been between him and Jin when he goes all out! He does the background ending screams in Dionysus for example and his part in Run BTS live from Busan while having a sore throat... Omg! 🤩)
I’m ARMY through and through and agree with you about probably the best pure voice in KPOP - Onew. That said, BTS just has this extraordinary je ne sais quoi that is so unique to them - it’s not just talent - it’s them as human beings - I’ve listened and loved so many types of music and my ULT group was U2, but as you can see these 7 are beyond words incredible, clearly in a class all their own, while being the most humble kings 💜
I truly think youre right, I think its fair to say they arent the best singers in the world, but that doesnt matter, its the feel, the emotion, the experience. thats what no one else can do
You are so right. I love u2 as well and even though Bono isn't the greatest vocalist he and the band deliver every single time on emotion and he is a poet when it comes to lyrics and BTS is the same but then you add the dancing and symbolism and everything just goes up another level. Not to mention the variety in the discography. ❤
@@Killdeer25Beatles, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears and even some of the top rockers and many more these days singers are not the best singers but they top the Billboard charts. They must have certain charms to attract audiences. However, in these mordern days, to be a top star it reqires more than just a good singing skill. BTS uses all art forms (including visual & storytelling with meanings) put together as a total package very well.
This is addictive. We’ve all been there. It’s hard to just pick a favorite song but I think when all the gods were behind the table with the trust falls also JK and Hobi’s dance segment. Everything about this was awesome. This regularly viewed by me. This should be released on network tv it’s so awesome. They were exhausted so bad after this performance they could barely move. AWESOME group. Thank you for reacting to this. BTS to me are the only group that is never ever boring. Wait til you watch 2018 MMA💜💜
that is why i love BTS they each have their own voice and skills that separates them and then they unite and mix their skills togehter into one. with other groups it´s like manufactured to sound a specific way they are trained to be more lik one voice rather than 7 individualist. at least that is what i get when i se other bands. BTS started as a hip hop group and hip hop and rap is very individual you dont rap other peoples rap in hip hop that´s just a big no no. and BTS rappers always write their own verse. it just sound more fake and unpersonal when other groups do it.
Big round of appluse for the 'BTS's team of ' Dancer's' Who were also the equipment shifters you can see more of them doing it in another camera angle but the camera operators were extremely good focusing on BTS members while the audience saw the other Dancers moving the tables, chairs etc. Also they were the one's who had to catch BTS members as they fall backwards off the table. That's a lot of trust by the BTS members that their Dancers will catch them.
Adding one of those star field projectors for my living room to my Amazon cart immediately. My favorite was the song about the stars for sure. Also, Jin with his sparkly pink mic is my bias. Confirmed. 💖
I love your short analysis of their vocals. I’m hardcore ARMY, and I believe Bangtan is all-around THE best music group ever. EVER. Like a once in many lifetimes team. Probably gonna get hate from toxic ARMYs, but I think no matter how much you love them, it would be slightly delusional to say they have the best technical/classical vocals out there. But it doesn’t matter! Many of the greatest pop *performers* of all time- and present time- don’t fit that vocal category (a few that come to mind- MJ, Prince, Beyoncé, Madonna, Britney, Taylor, etc). And the greatest vocalists weren’t great stage performers. What BTS does have is unique to our 7, and absolutely can not be recreated. Their synergy, love of performing, all-around talents, work ethic, lyrical skills, emotional intelligence, and so much more. Things that can’t be explained. They don’t want to have “the best vocals” out there. All they want to do is move people with their music, and nobody does that better than BTS. JK has even said he stopped vocal lessons because they were trying to take the special qualities from his voice and natural vocal technique. He gave himself singing lessons lol. He’s widely known in the industry as a vocal genius. There’s so much more to being a great singer than technicality.
thats kinda what I was hoping I would portray, is that even though they might not technically be the best singers ever that doesnt really matter their tone, color and the reality of their voices is way more important, I find them so much easier to identify who is singing and their emotion they want to convey
This is my favorite BTS performance. I had watched it about 25 times and then discovered two analysis videos on the Bookish Theories youtube channel that blew my mind even more. The performance and symbolism is beyond epic. ❤❤❤❤
I really enjoyed your reaction & thoughts on their performances. As an ex-contemporary & street dancer, I really appreciate Jimin's performance & it's hits me in the feels every time. He is just so graceful & I feel everything he portrays in every movement. He is so passionate. I also love the fact that he incorporates the contemporary dance with hip hop & street so well and has brought his art into main stream music. For me it's their synergy in the way they work together on stage, their delivery, their stage presence, their personalities, their sincerity in the way they all perform, their passion and truly meaning what they sing/rap. This was an epic awards show which pretty much turned into a BTS concert ! 😅💜
I love BTS and they absolutely raised the bar for phenomenal stage performances, but aside from all the high energy moments, Mikrokosmos was my favorite performance of the night. If you watch the fancam you can hear the whole choir of ARMY singing along, and to me that's one of the most beautiful sounds in the world. And Mikrokosmos just has a wonderful theme about people and the lives we live, its so uplifting.
that is the kind of award show performance of BTS being the Daesang awardee of 2019 MAMA highest award. their songs have references to past thinkers and mythology
I was waiting for you to see this once in a life time concert. This was to kick off a world tour. So this is an award show they didn't get ticket sales but they would have recouped the millions they spent on the tour. Then covid hit. I am sure there is no wY Hyve will OK such a big gamble again.
Don't forget that this was an Asian award and BTS was just one of the guest performers. One thing about BTS when they are invited to perform they always turn the award show into their mini concert. American award shows are like high school shows compared to the Asian award shows from the size of their stage alone is really something. I suggest that you watch also the MMA 2018 another Asian award show and this was held in HongKong and another were BTS was a guest was held in Japan. I strongly suggest you watch them all. Neway welcome to the rabbit hole and a warning there is no turning back. Just keep an open mind and enjoy the ride. BTS performances or concerts is all top notch.
They came from sharing the stage in award shows to totally owning the last stage! You know it's a big deal in KPOP to have the last stage performance as it is given to the most successful group in each year. But Bighit/HYBE (BTS' label) always put out an extravagant stage production and performances that leaves people in awe even before they became huge in the west. They are so artistic and so creative that in those years when they were not considered the most successful group of the year, I felt sorry to the group who performed after them (an example of this was the 2018 MMA "Who are you?" performance) because BTS raised the bar so high that until now no one and no other group in Kpop could match their stage performances.
Jk is the main singer on BTS he does all the alibs and can even stand in for his people in the act when they are sick. He is the youngest in the group. He can do everything he is the best Korian singer ❤❤
With "A Boy With Luv" the audio mix was a bit lower because of the fact Halsey wasn't there, so they decided to pull her out of the background vocals. So all you are hearing is the instrumental and a bit of background vocals the boys created and then their natural voices. So all of the songs are done this way for award shows, so that you can (hear) the voices present. They are projecting on the dome of the ceiling so that is what you are seeing. But this was probably done before the audience showed up then they projected it in the indoor stadium. Funny how you saw their vocals, Jungkook once said that he had done vocal lessons in the past but he felt they were teaching him how to sing without his personality and so he stopped the lessons. On the other hand both Jimin and V have recently been taking lessons to strengthen their core and for V to help with the higher register notes. Also the rappers are taking singing lessons at first when they were rapping they felt they didn't need to sing but now they want to know how to sing to add to their catalog of songs. Just so you understand 2019 was to be their swan song they were to have a World Tour in 2020 then by then end of 2020 Jin was to go into the military no one knew then that Co Vid was going to hit the next year cancel their concert season and freeze military enlistments.
I can't even imagine BTS not being together ,in all honesty I don't know how or why but it seems like they've been together forever and should stay that way haha 😂
All thiers Award shows are top of the top... Most are shorter then this but they always did the most they could for given time... 2018 was great all three they did were sooo gooood... But honesly I would recommend every year, and for sure you would have great time. For this one they were preparing for half a year and soo much money was put into this, but from my sofa hehe I say it was worth it. I watched it live on tv I couldn't believe my eyes. And all Greece aspect so well thought. Suga ended no so long ago his world tour, three weeks ago.... It was one of if greatest tour I saw and I only saw it by streaming and once in cinema. Next to BTS it was one of the best concerts I watched (in theory it is still BTS Haha so no wonders it was great) but I was on Rammstein concert amd there are really theartrics gire and gore and so many metal bands change in to costiums etc and fo some little things here and there.... But not like BTS, yeah they are great performers. I was on BTS concert but I couldn't go to Suga's sadly (I'm still little sad) bc he didn't come to Europe he didn't have time sadly for more dates so he did US and Asia, and everywere were to far for me like the closest city was 12h plane next on was 15h and rest was around 20-30h by plane, and now money for plane tickets for this long distances are mindblowing. So yeah instad I wached all online options there there were... Like he played 28 concerts and I maybe didn't watch 8. Like most fans I can't wait for theirs comback after military. Can I ask where you are from?
It should be really cool to see them together, I think its crazy to see these award shows. I bet it would be fun to be a fly on the wall there! Oh yeah Rammstein has crazzzzy shows
I love all their voices and the emphasis on individual color, and I love that you brought it up. Jungkook is acknowledged by the members as the most technically skilled singer, and everyone who works with him talks about how versatile he is. He's genuinely very *very* good. But he'd be the first to tell you he always has more to learn. Some folks will get defensive, but I think we can acknowledge people who are amazing without having to say they're more amazing than anyone else 😁 And the "best" voice in BTS is really just a matter of taste. They're all good at delivering killer performances, so it's whatever works for you. There's a lovely clip of Jimin and Taeyang rehearsing where they can't stop complimenting each other's voices. "I'm the luckiest person .. His voice is right here in my ear! My ears are melting!" "No, no, I'm the lucky one!" I keep that in mind a lot. It's a sweet moment of mutual admiration and I think it's a good model for how we can appreciate many artists 💜
Part of the subjective best voice in BTS has to do with each of our individual ears as well. We all hear pitch and tone different, and some are more soothing or interesting to our ears than others. 😅🤷♀️ And everyone in the fanbase having different languages, where a member puts emphasis on words in a song or how they sing the word, also makes a big deal in if we like how the member sings. All these things we do subconsciously to say who we like best
@@marissa1341 Yes! And some of them give performances that hit me differently at different times too. Jin singing in Japanese? I don't speak Japanese! But he just kills in those songs, for me. Tae's "I'm sorry" in Stigma makes me shiver. Every time Jimin gets to do a ringing lingering high note (Film Out, Magic Shop, many others) my breath catches. Jungkook's vibrato is beautiful. Etc. I could bring up so many moments for each of them. Who you enjoy most isn't the same as who is the objective best, if that's even a thing (it's not one most of us are qualified to judge). But there's so much to enjoy here 😁
@evantesseract737 @marissa1341 and kinda like Ihave been saying, like it doesnt really matter if they are the best of all time because honestly its better for them to be who they are and portray the emotion than it is to be the best, I love how I can pick out every single voice of all 7 members, I can honestly say this is the only group I can do that with
BTS will definitely come back to the US to perform, but it's going to be a few years until that happens because we have to wait for them to enlist and serve in the Korean military first. They said they would be done serving in 2025 but I'm guessing a tour would probably happen in 2026 so it gives them time to release new music and prepare a tour.
When live, doing award show's concerts they'll often add extra adlibs or even do slightly different versions their studio versions are great but live they are amazing they just come alive.
On the subject of voices, I love the fact that all the BTS members are distinctive and distinguishable. The words that come to mind are ‘humanity’ and ‘expressiveness’. So many kpop singers are (I think) somewhat over-trained and moulded. Being technically good and fitting the group sound is emphasised in training at the expense of colour, individuality and expression. BTS’s HipHop roots and PD Bang’s determination that their music should reflect their personalities and experiences probably has a lot to do with it. BTS award show performances have always been amazing and concert-like. MMA is a televised show, so not all the visual effects in Mikrokosmos were visible to the live audience in real time. Some of the segments were pre-recorded, including the part with the live horses, and played on screens for the audience. They do that in concerts too, which allows for costume changes and getting their breath back after heavy choreo. They sometimes have to take pure oxygen to recover. Good luck getting tickets for a concert as they usually sell out even before reaching general sale. I checked the resales for the shows at Allegiant stadium last year and they were going for anything up to $40,000.
I think that what needs to be expressed the most, their voices don't need to be the best, they need their uniqueness 100 Yeah, I always hope to get tickets to something like BTS but also knowing that they probably won't be around this area haha! So it works
@@Killdeer25 Realistically, though they are hoping to reunite in 2025, the next group concert tour is unlikely to happen before 2026 at the earliest. I’m interested to see how this forced break changes the group dynamic, the songwriting and the collective sound. Their solo work has been very diverse. They have said they still want to be meeting up, making music and singing together even when they’re too old to dance, but inevitably their individual lives and (for some, if not all) their solo work will take up more of their time.
This is for an awards show. One which they took home most of the awards. They used their own money to stand confident and show WHY they deserve to be top in front of an industry that had treated them pretty badly. They stand as gods above. It’s so filled with talent and symbolism my mind is continually impressed that no one does things like them. The sheer amount the spent on extras props and months prepping this. They always go above and beyond every year. Even small details like taking an old song from 2014 Boy in Love and contrasting it with their sequel Boy With Live showing their range and growth with two totally different performances. My favorite is the ridiculous excess that is Dionysus and the solo bits.
@@Killdeer25 they took home 8 awards including all 4 grand prize awards (song of the year artist of the year album etc) plus Suga produced and wrote the song that won best R&B song We Don’t Talk Together for female artist Haize (the range of music he produces and wins awards for is mind blowing especially how many top female artists he works with, they really trust him). These boys were up accepting awards all damn night utterly exhausted 😂😂
I’m sure you’ve seen a few recs for this BUT Bora city magazine has a “BTS are rock stars” commentary vid which I think you would enjoy! There are so many metal fans in ARMY (myself included) and there’s a reason for it. I’m sure you’ve noticed part of it during this performance!!!
Not sure if this has been commented before, but this is a freaking AWARD SHOW. But once you put BTS on stage, they will definitely OWN IT like it's their concert. From being cut short of their time to perform, they've gone SO BIG that they couldn't help but give them half an hour time to perform, as they deserve so. Other K-pop artists look forward to BTS' stage at every award show, knowing how mindblowing they are. This is my favorite among all their award-show performances. But imagine what they do with their own concerts? Just watching from a screen makes me lose my breath. THANK YOU FOR THIS REACTION! 💜
One of the things that drew me to bts was their voice and stage "personalities." I could tell who was singing, and they each dance in their own way. I love that they didn't seem like robot copies of each other. I love music and all genres from jazz, big band, rock, pop. Etc. I enjoy that I get that with bts. If not as a group, I do with the solos. I think all of kpop is clearly talented, but I've only connected with bts. The only other South Korean that I listen to as much is "NIve"... his solo music is so good and my style. I don't care for the songs he does for kpop, but his solo stuff is great. He also helped with "blue and grey" by bts.
yesss! thats what I was kinda trying to explain ( poorly ) the color, humanity and passion. thats what I liked as well, since I started with BTS I could actually tell who was who apart from each other almost instantly, but yet they work together so well
I was just thinking about your thoughts on their voices and how they are different from other K-pop voices. I think you actually made a good point in that their voices are so distinct and a little gritty depending on the song. (I actually learned to tell them apart from their voices before learning their names). They can absolutely do the pretty perfect vocals and Tae had been known to break out into operatic song for fun behind the scenes, but I think they are meant to be a bit gritty because they were intended to be and are foremost a hip-hop group…. Not a typical idol group. Your stank face was epic throughout. 😂💜
I got their voices down before faces - I still couldn't tell JK and V apart by looking but once they opened their mouths it was easy 😅 Hard to imagine now. I ran into a "guess the member by their lips" video the other day and no guessing was involved 😂
@@TheSnoozeUntold I hit it unexpectedly and my actual first thought was "why am I looking at Hobi's lips" (or whoever was first, I can't remember). It cracked me up 😂
yesss! I didnt really want that to come across as a criticism, because it absolutely wasnt suppoed to, I think it came across like that, but I think that is why they are so awesome, theyre gritty and real and thats what makes us connect with them. you know who they are immediately
They do remixes of their songs for award shows and concerts to give the audience a new experience. For example.... They had over 30 different dynamite performances
And i will remind you that this is just a korean music award. In korean music award its normal to have a big stage it because every kpop groups have their Fandom who support them,
BTS is known for changing some things up on their songs when performing. It makes it more interesting not being exactly the same every time. I didn’t really pay attention here so I didn’t notice the difference unless it has to do with Halsey’s parts. You will really notice it with the music and bands in their concerts. Something I love about them. I hope K described that in a way that makes sense. Some of this was pre-recorded and the sky stuff is something (I can’t recall what it’s called), but it is for the television audience. Talking about their voices, JK was listed as one of the 200 best singers of all time by Rolling Stone. He has perfect pitch. Charlie Puth said he is one of only two people that he’s worked with that he just had to copy and paste his vocals without needing engineering. (Not sure what the exact term he used, sorry 😊) Best singers is such a subjective subject though, In many respects.
it is! they are absolutely talented dont get me wrong, I wouldnt doubt if he is pitch perfect, I sure wish I was haha it is tough to really say who is the best voice, I do think that they have all the talent in the world for sure!
Several sections were prerecorded, either to allow for costume changes or in the case of Mikrokosmos, to add special effects. The people in the venue would see on huge screens what was being broadcast on TV
I remember V turning their ballad song for youth into opera in one of their rehearsals 😂 . He's so versatile has about 5 tones . All of the BTS vocalists have such an amazing singing techniques and are able to convey different emotions due to the members diverse tones from jimin to V to Jk to jin all such talented singers . My personal favorites are V and Jungkook I love how they can utilize both the techniques and the emotions (and I love their deep voices and airy voice)
After "Boy with Luv" JK's hand gesture was supposed to turn to sign for "I love you" ...but he has ARMY tattooed on his right hand...so they focused on V's hand instead because Korea doesn't show tattoos on prime time TV
As I said when I watched this awards show, only BTS would put on a full concert at an awards show. This was truly astounding! There's not enough that can be said. Their performances, the special affects, the solo dances, the everything!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
It was a shame you didn't see the speech Chris Martin gave before Jin came on stage ,explaining the story of this song for Jin, which was his goodbye to ARMY before enlisting in the military! It was his last public perfect and was a really emotional moment for him. Chris Martin gave him a guitar as a gift. Coldplay and BTS have a very close bond and you may want to watch the mv for My Universe as well as the backstory to this where you see the members working with Chris.
V is a very talented singer. I saw where they were practicing Truth Untold, and he started singing it as an opera!! He could do an opera pretty damn well !!
I cannot count the times I have watched this with new reactors. I love seeing your reactions! They are 7 wonders of our world. JimIn’s dance is just stunning and mesmerizing! They are all incredible. Thanks for sharing! Borahae! 💜🎼👍🏽😊👏🏽
also I failed to add that if you going to check on other solo songs/content, Yoongi’s D-day album might be your liking..esp Snooze. and other members also have really diverse discography
Hi Aaron. Thanks for sharing this reaction. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hearing all your thoughts.😁💜 My favourite performance from this MMA is Dionysus - its just so epic🔥you can see how much energy they put into it and how exhausted they were at the end. It's amazing 👏 I love them all doing Dionysus live but the way Jin does a low and then high vocal in his part is always one of my favourite parts, it just sounds so good. I also love Jimins solo 🎵and all the remix versions of their tracks. Bighit needs to release the remixes to streaming or an album already. Personally I dont think that a more technical or technically trained vocal is necessarily 'the best' or more talented or most enjoyable to. Hearing someone do things like runs is impressive but more often than not boring and overused. Someone can be technically trained but lack emotion and passion or not have as much of that as someone whose less technically trained. For me its not just one thing with BTS its everything about them that makes them so captivating and exceptional! Including their vocals and rap and the emotion and passion they put into everything. They are always better live and you can always hear that they are live even when doing such complex choreography, because they sound real not perfect. None of their performances of any one song sound the same, it's unique every time. You can hear their breath and all of the different tones and variance in their voice. They have character and uniqueness to every one of their voices. Live is also amazing because you can hear variation in vocals and adlibs from the studio recording and on their more rap heavy and rock style songs you can hear grit and growl in every vocalists voice. And if you like that style in their vocals and Vs voice, wait till you hear Ma City, Jump and Attack On Bangtan! (please refer to my list for good links from Enjoy BTS More for each of these). Luckily you had heard all but 2 of the songs performed at 2019 MMA already. I'm sure this had got you curious/interested to hear the songs which were featured as remixes here. Highly reccommend watching and reacting to the MV for Persona (RM) and then the DKDKTV explained by a Korean video for it - it's excellent as it both explains Korean idioms and Carl Jung's Theory's together for the song. Then I would suggest watch the MV for Shadow (Suga) you'll love it! 😉 - all again linked in my list. Heck then you could do the MV for Ego (Jhope). All 3 of these are of course from their Map of the Soul album and reference Carl Jung's concept of Persona, the Shadow and the Ego. All the remixed songs included in MMA that you hadnt heard are included with links in my list too. 💜🎵
I hope you did, I do still try to be as honest as I can, I hope that I didnt offend anyone :\ I absolutely still love them so much! they are awesome! I can absolutely see how they just took over an awards show haha and thats kinda what I was trying to convey, like they might not actually be the best singers ever (which is subjective) I do think like I said, their color and texture, passion and feel for the stage is absolutely way more special than anything anyone can do or take away
Hi Mr. Aaron. My favorite award show. The boys were impressive. Aren’t we having fun!? The best quality (equipment used) clear and zoomed.🤌🏻 MMA 2018 is so good, too. Thank you for sharing and reacting.✌️
RM starting this out with Persona! ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 And yes, most of their performances are all slightly different! They do special performances for the awards shows for sure but even their concert performances sometimes change it up a bit too. They are fun to watch. They even have dance practice videos for specific award show performances like the Dionysus award performance etc. Their award stages are so epic... I really don't know how they pull them off. And I don't understand how American award shows are so lame in comparison. Asia has been putting shows on like this for over years now and we don't do anything... of course I think it because of the lack of creativity in American artists. My only issue with this performance is how long the intro to Dionysus is... part of it seems so random I think another performer cancelled so they had to fill the time. LOL. Though I am sure it is just because they needed time to recoup so they could do that final push. This is such an epic Dionysus performance. Anyway... loving your journey. Cannot believe you are putting so much into 2 weeks!! I would say I hope you don't get burnt out on them trying to do too much too fast... but most of us when we jump in the rabbit hole, binge watch everything we can on them anyway! LOL. It just must take so much effort to edit and publish. You are doing great! Thank you for exploring them and bringing us along for the ride. My favorite part of this is probably RM Persona, but the boys doing Boy IN Love again (since they hadn't really done it since their young days)... I like the nostalgia of that.
Honestly injust love the song list that the put together for this was such a smart choice, I absolutely loved that they went in there and kicked its trash in
BTS didn't know for a couple of years that ARMY love love this performance until that one Run BTS Episode when the staff surveyed and gave us questions about performances and whatnot, this became the top 1 of the favorites.. BTS guessed different performances and they didn't mention this one lol
ok, this is kidna funny right, they didnt know that Louder than bombs was so big in ARMY and also with this performance. I wonder if there is anything else like this between the group and ARMY
@@Killdeer25 I'm not sure, JK's kinda active on tiktok nowadays and was just liking ARMYs funny edits, we also joked that they have secret stan accs on Twitter, and V literally loves to watch ARMY videos here on RU-vid, he even requested us to upload videos so he can watch it lol they always spy on us but managed to not guess these 2 things lmao
If you like metal, i really recommend you to react to few songs to the new album of Jhope "Jack in the box", it's old rap/metal (Limpbizkit style) : - MORE - PANDORA BOX - WHAT IF - ARSON And suga : BURN IT
When you said about making a face when you play an instrument and it sounds exactly like you want it, have seen that on my dad and my ex when they played acoustic guitar do this faces. I hadn’t thought about it until I saw on tv a concert with Tommy Emmanuel do this faces to, he is an incredible artist and the way he plays guitar and makes it sound is unique.
I've watched this so many times and every time I see something I missed before. BTS is amazing. Thanks so much for reacting to this "mind-blowing and crazy" performance. It was good to see you having fun with it! 💜💜
I’m just getting started watching your reaction to THIS one! I’ve watched this probably 100 times since BTS FOUND ME (2020), SILVER ARMY! Remember, THIS is a KOREAN AWARD SHOW ! These sets are incredible but just WAIT till last 10-15 minutes! Get ready to be AWED!
Esta presentación fue increíble por eso me gustan tanto sus presentaciones en vivo espero que reacciones a algún concierto la próxima vez hay unos mix muy buenos. Gracias por reaccionar saludos. Por siempre ARMY 💜💜💜🇨🇱
Imagine us US-ARMYs watching this at like 5 AM our time thinking it was a fever dream. BTS goes above and beyond with every opportunity- they wanted to make a statement and build a legacy before enlistment. Not just with numbers, but with a new exhausting performance. Best stage ever supported by a smart company that knew it’d be seen worldwide. Extremely emotive, charismatic, real performers.
BTS were given 40 minutes for this performance and they made it count . They are unbeatable. 7 kings. I dont class BTS as kpop though because they have transcended kpop and left the other groups so far behind them probably. Bp are nowhere near the same level as BTS and thats evident in their performances. None are even on the same playing field as BTS
its actually funny you bring up BP, I prefer all of the solo music than I do BP, there is very little people can do iin terms of performance than BTS for reasl
Thank you for the reaction man. I loved how you noticed the grittiness in their voices, and the different sound of Boy with Luv, that's why I prefer always their live versions. It shows their passion and hard work, and when with a live band, the band goes nuts on the songs, and you get different production. To me, this will be the best live performance in history of music. I have listened and watched a lot of live music, from Michael Jackson, Eminem, Kiss, ACDC, Guns and Roses, Prince, Queen, Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber, and so much more, but I have yet to see something that rivals this. I hope you get the chance to react to Airplane pt2 (the korean version), and Idol, then you can watch MMA 2018, because that performance is also bonkers
it is probably one of the craziest things I have ever seen, no lies. I do think that they might be the best in stage presence for sure! I do need to check out more for sure!
There’s nothing like our Bangtan ~ And their ARMY at an AWARD show, “blowing everybody’s mind”❤️🔥🔥💝💜👍🏼 #BTS #ApoBANGpo Thx for reviewing it! #peace ps: looking forward to seeing more .. MMA & MAMA, from 2016 forward😉
oh for sure I am! I am hoping to during the summer activities, but I am not going to lie, they have made me rethink a lot of how this channel we go moving forward, so if not during the Summer Activities they are very much going to be cover, I have an announcement that pretty much effects a good chunk of my channel, because of BTS.
Thank you Aaron... even Army have to sometimes remind ourselves that this was an award show and not one of their concerts !! Can you imagine what a full concert would be like ? ... I hope one day in the future that you'll get to experience that.... post 2025 is going to be nuts !!! 💜Borahae💜
Can't believe you have the energy to do this! A most iconic showcase from BTS. This is at an award show, and someof it was prerecorded. Other ARMY, I'm sure will step in and tell you,so I'll leave it for them,huh?😊... continuing the journey,or have you had your fill? Jimins solo, has to be tops for me along with Mikrokosmos! 😊
