Purple is a significant color for BTS and Army. Kim Taehyung "made up" its meaning which is "I will love you for a long time". He also coined the term "Borahae" meaning "I purple you", so if you see Army leaving those comments in your videos, that means you are loved! :) V also posted on social media a while back saying, "I left a purple balloon in your dreams. Look it up." BTS is one of the best groups out there, not just musically. I can accept how 'formatted pop' this song is, but I know BTS knows that and they're not after a grammy - they just want to cheer people up, this time including those who can't hear and speak. I love them for it. If you felt good watching it, and you feel hopeful, then that's powerful music and to me that's what matter - regardless of what critics might say. We don't need permission to dance. :)

*Fun fact: they included the sign languages to the words: "dance", "fun" and "happy/ joyful" in their choreography* . To be specific they did for the chorus, *"da na na na na na na, we don't need permission to dance"* part. The ending gives me *"We All On This Together"* in *High School Musicals* but waaayyyyy better

My interpretation of the purple balloons in the machines, phone booth, etc, is it represents ARMY in quarantine (in their own bubbles), and then at the end when everyone is taking the masks off you see the balloon being released from the building. I also noticed how the balloons were different shades, and I like to think (other than being visually appealing and interesting), it mirrors the diversity of people in the video.

You are absolutely right about the PURPLE BALLOONS in the teaser Suga was reading the magazine and it said that the PURPLE BALLOON was a sign that Covid was over. That's why in the video everyone started taking their mask off.

I'm loving the cowboy/country style they have going on and I'm also giving props to the stylist noonas for styling them this way and also props o to the people in the MV as you could see they were clearly havin fun. I'm loving the beat and the line " I don't need permission to dance" will be stuck in my head for ever and always now, also it's such and iconic line and is up there with " Get it, Let it roll". I'm also loving the beat of the music as it'd so happy and upbeat and really summery, it also makes me wanna smile just seeing them have fun. The choreo is so groovy and makes me wanna dance and I just wanna groove with it also as there isn't really that much choreo it's really easy to dance too. I love their MV as it shows the boys having fun with eachother and other people also the vocals are as amazing as ever, I especially love yoongis vocals as he really can sing, and it makes me wanna sing along. It all being English aswell also makes it their 3rd all English song and this one is just as catch as Dynamite and Butter. Also I love the message behind the song ad it basically says no matter what or where you are if you here music you love just dance along to it as you don't need permission to dance and have fun. Us armys are getting so spoilt on our birthday and o just love the guys so much and you can clearly see how much they love us back k by just seeing how hard they work and how they care about us. You'll never get another band like BTS who love their fans so much and who works so hard for them. Thankyou BTS for a wonderful birthday present.

Check the teaser....the headlines on the newspaper at the beginning say "Purple balloons signal the end of Covid". Notice after V and Jimin have the scene with the kids and let the purple balloon go, the "normal" people start taking off their masks. Also, they incorporated sign language into the choreo, I think the signs for "dance", "peace", and "fun". It's hope for the end of Covid, and music bringing people together and bringing people joy. Which, by the way, I could see in your faces as you watched....you looked happy.
