I love how the meaning of the lyrics change depending on how you're viewing it is what you're experiencing in your life to think of the lyrics that way, I know this song may be about a relationship but for me it's like me and life fighting each other the seesaw is the happiness and sadness in my life I'm battling this thing called suicidal urges and depression and I'm waiting for someone to get off it first either me or the problems in my life and for the other thing to stop moving just like a seesaw

Okay, so I was so in denial that I refused to see the double meaning behind every BTS song! Not about a single relationship, but about the problems they had when they almost disbanded - remember the Jin award acceptance speech that left them, especially JHope and V, in tears on stage! No one wants to be the bad guy to end the 7, but they're on a seesaw of misunderstood power, inequality within the group! This song is truly heartbreaking!

This song is so beautiful, the way he potrayed the relationship as a seesaw game. It was fun at first but then as they dragged the game for long, it became boring and pressured them. If someone gets off the other would fall and be left on their own. If they don't get off, they would have to continue their already bad relationship and risk getting hurt more. The only way to end it is when someone took the courage to get off first. But it's hard and they continued to watch each other wondering who would get off. It's so beautiful and it's one my favorite song. It reminds me of so many things.

this song is absolute genius. at the beginning, yoongi meets someone & they get on a seesaw together, on both sides being someone. they play around, going “up and down” the seesaw as mentioned in 0:17. as they repeat going up and down it’s getting more and more exhausting for both because the relationship is beginning to fail - they’ve had so many fights, etc. that both of them want to end the rs but don’t know how to. at 2:51, yoongi is left alone on the seesaw as the person he was in a relationship with decided to leave first. he’s destroyed but can now finally “walk off” the seesaw without the other person being there.

It's so good. In the beginning he's saying that they're just arguing who is the "heavier" one and that's why the relationship never becomes balanced. In the middle he's talking about them shifting the responsibility to break away back and forth until they reached a balance, but it was not the balance they wanted. In the end, knowing that nothing's working out anymore, they both get off the seesaw. The lyrics are so wonderful. I appreciate artists who can create such profound messages from a simple word.

After watching the recent documentary beyond the monument I feel as if this is a song about bts rather than a actual break up Like Yoongi said in the documentary it was like in a relationship passing the burden/responsibility of saying the word "let's break up" or at that point I bts case "let's disband" from one to another as if on a seesaw becuase no one wants to be labeled as the bad guy the person who broke the team up BTS really went through alot to be where they are now and I can proudly say that they deserve every bit of success fame and love the world has to offer to them They truly are the most strongest people that I know and the most inspiring of all Hope that the path ahead for BTS is only good things and we ARMYs will make sure of that

I found the interview with Suga that you were speaking of. BTS Monuments Documentary on Disney+ Episode 2 near the end. Based on Suga’s own comments, there is no doubt (to me) that See Saw was written during that time 2017-2018 when they were contemplating “getting off the see saw”/break up or re-sign their new contract. BTS Beyond the Story pg 264 talks specifically about that time as well. Bang PD told the guys to write about their own stories. I think See Saw and so many other songs have much deeper meanings than what one may initially think.
