This song is based on the story 'The Legend of Smeraldo' [Warning: this is long] In a village of northern Italy called ‘La Città di smeraldo’, there was a small secluded castle. In that castle lived a man with grotesque appearance. He was the love child of a duke from a powerful family in Florence. The duke fell in love with the daughter of his gardener and gave birth to this man. The mother of the man passed away from excessive bleeding after giving birth to him. The wife and children of the duke wanted to kill the man, so the duke sent the man away to let him escape. The man hid himself in the old castle, lonely. probably, it was because of the hatred he received from birth and while he's growing up that he didn’t open his heart to anyone, he got angry and hid if someone tried to approach him. His only joy was growing flowers in his garden. But one day, a girl appeared near the man’s castle. The girl in ragged clothes lifted her heels, jumped over the garden fence and stole the flowers. The man got angry at first, he spent the whole night to guard the garden. But in his brief moment of sleepiness, the girl picked flowers again and ran away. It happened for several days, until one night the man pretended to fall asleep and watched the girl go. He was curious. Without realizing it, the man waited for the girl, and one day he followed her. He covered himself with a cloak and after following here the man discovered, the poor and weak girl was selling flowers for a living. The man wanted to help the girl. He wanted to teach her every method of growing flowers he knew, he wanted to teach her how to grow beautiful flowers. But he couldn’t come forward to the girl. She would be scared of him, she wouldn’t love his grotesque appearance. In the end, the only thing he could do was to grow and take care of the flowers so she could keep coming to his garden. The man decided to make a special flower that doesn't exist in the world. He started to make a flower so that the girl could sell at an expensive price. The man shut himself in the castle to make the flower. After countless attempts, the man made a flower that never existed in the world, and filled his garden with that flower. But the girl was nowhere to be seen. No matter how much he waited, the girl wouldn’t come to his garden. The man grew concerned and went to the village with his face covered. But he discovered that the girl was already dead.

BTS gives "Don't leave me", "Let go" and "I still want you", Love is really hard and difficult emotion to handle with in our life.

Jimin saying "Because I am ugly" got me bursting into tears because you know... He struggled with insecurities because of his appearance and went through a very harsh diet so it hit me so freaking hard... And Jin's voice after the second chorus... GODDAMMIT! ;;;;;; I know this song is actually based on a book but remember BTS sing songs with stories they want to tell and this emotion is obviously the emotion of someone who has felt like this... Also this was a wonderful reaction and don't be afraid to cry in front of the camera. It would be weirder if you didn't to be honest...

This song made me cry right away. I was devastated for hours 😂. I loved your reaction and what you talked about their ugly side..., I think the song is not only about a romantic relationship that it's broken, I also think it's about their position. Thanks for your reaction I know that I am not the only one who cry a Han river just by listening to their vocals. The song is a beautiful sad song.. Idk if you have a reaction for Magic shop yet but that song i also feel emotional..The part "You give me the best of me.. so you give you the best of you" hit me so hard (i didnt watch the lyric at first). We all are familiar with the smeraldo flower because we've seen it numerous of times in bts's MV (I need u, singularity, LY her highlight reel, fake love, etc) Smeraldo's flower language is non potevo dire la veritá meaning the truth that couldn't be told which sounds like a tragic love story The man in the story never went up the to the woman because he was afraid that the woman wouldn't love him because of his appearance. The whole theme of this comeback is about loving yourselves no matter what, something that the man didn't do"

It's actually based on a story there was a boy who had a garden a girl once came in the garden and took flower he followed her n saw she sold the flower she used to come everyday ! Eventually he loved her but couldn't show himself as he was ugly ! After sometime the girl stopped coming ! He found out that she is dead ! N the pain is encryption in the song!
