It’s not just teenagers that BTS speaks to. I am 53 and belong to an online group of Army ages 30 and up. I believe our oldest member is in her 70’s. In this one group there are close to 800 of us and there are other BTS fan groups for adults out there too. BTS has touched many of us with their message. I purple you. 💜

Back in 2016 V said that purple is the last color of the rainbow and that means I will trust and love you for a long time. It’s a very common phrase in the fandom and a color we and Bts represent as. Loving your videos 💜💜💜!

It was 2015 and I has just graduated highschool and my friends in I went to the shore for senior week. Army are family. We often wrongly get portrayed as crazy fangirls but BTS is so much more. They connect. They love unconditionally. They help me and so many other people. I’ve found friends for life through them. When we say we love them and that they are our family we don’t just say it because we love their music. We mean it. We may not speak the same language, but they understand us regardless and we understand them.

Powerful fandom indeed. People have already mentioned the $1 million we raised for BLM in 24 hrs. The credit goes to @OneInAnArmy on Twitter for their guidance and leadership. They have helped organized multiple fundraisers for global campaigns. ARMYs fight each other sometimes, but when we all come together, watch out. I’ve never been a part of a fandom like this before. There will never be another BTS and there will never be another fandom like ARMY.

I got to say Army is one of the best fandoms I have been part of I've been with the boys since debut and they've changed my life I've met so many friends I'm still friends with today and it always makes me happy that we're doing stuff to make the world better. Even though a lot of people focus on the bad in our fandom there's so much out there that we do which isn't focused on and we don't care if we don't get the recognition for it. We're doing it because we love these boys and we want to help them Reach their dreams. And we want to help each other

Wow, not many people react about army we kind of hang back and let the boys shine so this was cool. Right now we have over 600 official charities and projects we have supported as army around the world and we do it because it is the right things but we inspire and start each project with the boys in mind. Issues and things they say is important or we think is important we work to push them through and make a difference. Side note not mentioned here we had for about 2 to 3 years a part of the fandom that were counselors and sort of a helpline for army that struggled with emotional and mental issues and it was a just a group of fans boy professional mental experts and fans that were studying in that field. I only mention it to show all the various things we do within the fandom. A lot of people see us from the outside like a bunch of screaming addicted fans but we do so much more and make quite an impact quitley. The loudest impact was black lives matter when we raised 1 million dollars in 24 hours after the boys donated a million themselves. I as a black American army was so proud of the boys and us but not surprised we have raised so much money and done so much personal work charities and such over the years but most people don't know about it. Thanks for the reaction. p.s. purple is a very special color to us and has a lot of meaning of love and trust towards the person we say it to. so if someone sends you a message with I purple you and that person is an army then please know you have just been paid the highest compliment possible. :)

Citifield was amazing. I sat next to someone who had to be from Asia. She spoke little English and her phone, when she was texting, was in characters rather than English. It was so diverse for who was there. It was an amazing concert. But the charity work of BTS and ARMY...it's powerful and moving. It's really an amazing thing to see.

Hi Quinn you said you want to know a bit more of the Army fandom from a third point of view. I have to tell you the truth everything haves their two sides. As an Army that follows BTS since 2014 I see ARMYS as someone who are loving the boys with all their heart and dedication and they are passionate. We do come in different ages, races, gender, cultures, and religions but we all related to each other by loving BTS. But like a relationship, some time can turn it into something toxic. Sometimes it's our own fault, some times it is hurtful experiences from the past. Since there are so many of us lots of stupid arguments tend to happen or arguments against nonsense hate or wonderful teamwork and donations happen. I won't hide the negative side but I do want you to know there are a lot more positive sides of ARMY than the bad side. So if you encounter some immature or insensitive comments. I have to apologize that you are getting that. Just remember you are you and don't change anything about you. I think you need to see what is ARMY like through your own eyes and see what BTS has done for us. I used kpop mart to get my army bomb ver 3 they also sell a lot of other merch which includes shirts I believe. The nice thing is they email you a picture of the item being package and shipped. They ship through DHL so takes about 7 days to arrive from S. Korea.

I haven't seen you for a few days. Reason why? One in an ARMY started raising money to match BTS' Contribution of 1 Million dollars to Black Lives Matter. It took around 23 hours and 50 minutes but we did it. We matched BTS' contribution. I believe BTS brought me here not just to support them but for a bigger cause. I truly believe that. That's why I'm always sayin', are you registered to vote? We have raised money for pet shelters. We also have raised money to feed children who come from poor homes breakfast & lunch.
