I don't know if this is relevant but in many Asian dramas, there is at least one scene where a lead male pushes the girl against the wall, less so nowadays. But this was supposed to be romantic. People are starting to realize that this is actually problematic (you know, the whole romanticizing violence)... and of course, on the Behind the Scenes video, you can see that Jin was actually really nervous and uncomfortable about shooting this scene and apologized to the actress.

8:00 Rather than them being "mean", exactly, it's basically then following a trope very common in east-asian media such as manga/manhua/manhwa, webtoons, k-dramas, etc... where it's seen as "attractive" for men (or any romantic lead, really, but mostly men) to be pushy and cold. What Jin did to that girl is actually a very common scenario in manga and is called "kabe-don". There's also the "tsundere" ideal (basically when someone is mean, cold and even sometimes violent to the one they like due to them either being shy, wanting to pursue them no matter what or unable to accept their feelings), which is often depicted in both male and female characters and is one of the most popular/desirable character traits in east-asian media! An example of this trope is Taiga from ToraDora or Inuyasha from Inuyasha. These tropes are, of course, not very healthy and can come off as toxic as they "normalise" these attitudes even when that's not the goal. Just canted to clarify that the attitudes reflected in the MV are not unique to BTS or even Korean culture and that seeing them through a western eye kind of makes them look worse due to the lack of cultural context. The boys hated how they had to act with the girl and apologised profusively to her (she was ok and laughed) and I think they even gave her flowers!

Yeah they got mad at how Jin pushed her. They hated that they had to do that and apologized and gave her flowers. She was okay. I can't remember if it was an article or a video where we learned about them bowing and apologizing.

The intro of the video actually showed '2nd mini' guys lol The '2COOL 4SKOOL' is a single album, the O,RUL82?' where 'N.O' is the title is their 1st mini album. This one is their 2nd mini album. And then they released their 1st full length album 'DARK & WILD' where 'Danger' is the title track 😁

I just wanna say hi from Sweden. I’m an old crazy cat lady, who had lost my ability to walk since a couple of years ago. But I enjoy my life anyway with my four cats Buffy 15, Sir Sebastian 8 years, Lucifer MorningStar alias Morris 5 and my little baby IamGroot alias Grootis soon to be 3 years. We just found you two on RU-vid and I really love your kind of humor and the thing I’ve learn about BTS etc. It was not so long ago I discovered both BTS and Dimash on RU-vid. So great to discover the best performance of two at the same time. Dimash who are the greatest singer in the world (sorry guys ) and BTS who seems to never do anything wrong and they’re dance mowes is out of the this world. I have so much to watch and learned every night because I sleep in the day and awake at night. And thanks to you two I also have so much to laugh about. You are hilarious. Trust us... Your jaw is gonna drop to the floor when your hear JK singing raw in his Vlives... Or the acoustic songs. In His last VLIVE (the one for his Bday) apart from singing a lot of songs live and raw, JK wrote a song in real time to army (and recorded) with messages he asked army to write about how they felt, it was magical

You know which channel I think is super underrated? Metal Piano Music. The guy spends weeks composing classic metal songs into classical/relaxing piano pieces and he hardly gets any views. I love his arrangement of Painkiller by Judas Priest. That guy really deserves millions of followers 😌

It's a bit confusing because there are "mini albums", "single albums", EPs and studio albums, but this is from their 3rd release ^^ It's easier to rememer if you go by era and then know how many "albums" there are each time: School Trilogy : 1. 2 Cool 4 Skool 2. Omigosh, you guys are technically boys .. In...luv... Hahaha! That didn't even occur to me! The bit of music at the beginning is actually from one of their b-sides(there's an mv for it). This isn't the only time that one of their mvs sampled one of their own songs at the beginning. As I've mentioned before, their album tracklists and album arcs are very intentional, not just in theme but also in lyrics and there's often repeated references to themes and metaphors. Ya, the plagiarism of the schoolboy look accusation is totally bogus. Not only is it a super common concept, but they're literally school boys...and unlike the majority of the schools over here, schools over there have uniforms. That's like saying, "Hey! You're wearing pants! Stop copying me!" From what I understand, the cold-seeming(but actually really caring inside) good-looking tall guy looming over the pretty girl who's backed up against the wall with his straight-armed hand slammed against the wall next to her head is a pretty common trope in that neck of the woods. There's some behind the scenes footage of Jin apologising profusely to the actress after they're done with the scene...and the actress looking like uh, it wasn't a big deal. 😆 Nobody puts bad llama in the corner!

I'm do happy you reacted to this song as it was my very first BTS song and the song that made me become an army. This song literally saved my life back in 2014 as I was in a really dark place but this song brought me out of that place and I'll be for ever grateful to bts for that, it's why this song is my all time fav and has a special place in my heart. It was also this song and MV that I first laid eyes on jimin and this was wen he became my ult bias, his high note in this song always sends shivers down my spine. also a fun side note to this is when they were making this MV jin accidently pushed the girl too hard and he kept apologising to her after.

It is not from their third album...Go back and check all their albums in order and this song is one of their earliest. 2014...after their debute album in 2013. BTS has a learning curve...lol. Welcome to the fandom.

I heard in the rose giving scene that JK was so shy to even look at the girl making eye contact. So Jin and Jimin was added in. I guess it was intended JK fall in love to the girl and others helping him.

I loved the "there's two dudes" comment, the reason the school boy concept upset everyone is that a fan group of another boy band who came out a year earlier wanted to despairage BTS at every turn. These fans of the other group and or groups hated anytime a boygroup got any attention that they felt belonged to their group. So they we said to be plagiarist for the school boy concept, for their hair color and cut, for the sound and even for some of the lyrics. Alll very general statements but they felt threatened by this group, and well they should have in hindsight as most of those groups have disbanded now because they did not last in the industry. A few groups of their time still exist but of the over 150 groups that came out that year none still exist.

The uniform concept copying accusation was hilarious because it is a common boyband concept, plus some of the members were actually either in high school themselves or just left high school. Compared to Western music it seemed lame.

Yeah this one also got a certain amount of undeserved backlash too but not nearly as much as War of Hormone, the things disliked were more on the ANTIs and even I-ARMY side I feel; by that I mean in the West we're not familiar with the kabedon trope, which is VERY popular in anime/manga, basically consisting of a hot guy caging you in by slapping one hand to the wall in a fit of emotion. Which, in real life, would obviously NOT be cool but it sort of goes with the hot bad boy thing and how often people don't realise until they're older the bad boy isn't REALLY who they want, but can be very alluring nonetheless lol Of course the boys felt uncomfortable acting like that too, cause they good boys 💜, but it's them still playing young guys run by hormones bullying their crush... I sort of think of it as almost a prerequisite of War of Hormone lol ^^; I mean Joonies verse says it all : "You make me so angry and mad for no reason, I'm serious but you make me into a loser who picks fights with you. Why do I care so much about you? You're making a big boy act like a little kid."
