They have always dominated the award shows!!! It's like a concert always...you really need to watch the 2019 MAMA awards show, it will blow you away 37 minutes long...for an award show!!

I don’t know how many times I watched this performance. Still amazed every times.

The best performance in Grammy history.

They did this after minimal rehearsal time- Jin was recovering from surgery which is why he sat out at the beginning, JK was diagnosed with covid on arrival in US and had to quarantine, and J Hope only arrived the day before the show as he was quarantining in S Korea with covid and so was jet-lagged when they performed. Despite all this their performance was iconic. Thanks for reacting to it so I could appreciate it all over again. I would recommend their Black Swan mv, or live performance of BS or Idol on Jimmy Fallon.

BTS are so multi-talented. This was a spectacular performance. Even more so because Jin injured his hand and thus they made the control center for him, J-Hope got Covid and flew late to US and Jungkook also got Covid when he got to US, so they only got to rehearse all together the day before the Grammy's. They were robbed of winning, but WE all know they are the Best!

Yep, that's what they do! The level of dedication is incredible.

I have been spoiled by BTS. From the lyricism, great musicality and production, hard work, amazing dancing from never ending practice all by good and humble people. Now I can no longer watch the majority of artists without feeling short changed.💜

(after all I can never have a "first time" watching this unbelievable performance ever again lol), Rolling Stone named it 13th Greatest Grammy Performance of All Time! they did that after they didn't have barely have any time to practice, they almost didn't do it apparently, i read. they were smooth criminals doing an art heist, the paintings disappear one by one and then their photos and lyrics and album art started appearing on the walls, so i think it's sort of like leaving graffiti, BTS WAS HERE B*****s, and maybe: we don't need Grammy they need us! if u want, maybe Proof Live session next, featuring Anderson Paak of Silk Sonic, or if you want to watch dance, the live concert performance of Black Swan at recent PTD LA is so amazing to watch. or during same concert they do Fire/Dope/DNA :)

FACT: BTS NEVER lip-synch during LIVE Performances/Concerts. 💜 Did you notice the Art Work changed out and wore different jackets at the end, Shawn?

If they touched the laser they would actually ruin the entire thing, there's a practice video of it, (the rehearsal) and yeah these moves on top of the lasers were actually real, they said it was one of the hardest parts to get right alongside with the jacket move

the behind the scenes is great too. they only had a day and half together because of covid

There's a practice video and the fact they had Jin with his hand operation and the fact 2 members were recovering from Covid. So they didn't even have that much time to practice. RM couldn't get the jacket part right until he was on stage. The laser beams where fatter than they had them when they first tried to do it with 3 members down. They kept Jungkook standing up on his hoist for far too long waiting for their turn to start as well.

Wow, thanks for your honest astonishment. I suggest you watch some of the Asian award shows both for fun. but also for perspective - they are always epic, and BTS have always presented what amounts to a concert, no less impressive than their show for a stadium tour. It is common in Asia for artists to do far more for award shows than their peers in the west, which actually reflects the fact that Kpop is not just the music but the whole performance and everything in that performance is carefully prepared to enhance a whole which is much more than the sum of its parts. Here, BTS really wanted to perform at the Grammys, knew they had been snubbed before, and were determined to show just what they can do, with an open heart. They faced a challenge : JK and Hobi both had Covid just before the Grammy show and could not travel to the US with the rest of the team, arriving only just in time to have one day's rehearsal and ONE run-thru on set (the show manager moved heaven to find them the time - great man). On top of this Jin's hand injury meant they had to change the choreo fairly last minute and make a control centre for him. He was still in pain at this point, but you could see he wanted to join in. You might find the behind-the-scenes practice video interesting. This is one of their most involved performances, and god-knows what it cost. They really do jump over those lasers, V really did throw the card to JK (i didn't believe it until I saw the practice video, when JK just missed catching it). There are hidden messages, too - the background walls are an art gallery, but the pictures "disappear" and are replaced by BTS "graffiti". So many easter eggs for ARMY. Compared to other bts performances this is like cute ver 😂 it was amazing but this is nor their limit Mma 2019 was probably a whole another level Same with bts English songs good but not really bts high level in Korean songs

I enjoyed ur reaction .. although their grammy performance was definitely amazing , u will be blown away by their mma and mama award show performances ... btw , it is grammy policy that all singers sing live , no lip syncing . Grammys dictate every performance . Grammys dictate who will do collabs ,who will do solo , grammys must approve clothing , hairstyles , theme of all performances and live singing is their POLicy

It's not easy for me to subscribe to new REACTOR but u made it. I can just tell you that im a fan once I saw a few of ur reaction to their songs. U just got a new SUBSCRIBER here. Benny Blanco in this video is different after Bad Decisions came out. Knowing what he was brewing up for them. This performance was amazing, considering the fact that they couldn’t practice for it the way they usually do. 💜

the fact that you are already blown away by this BTS Grammy Performance made me know for sure that you have not seen yet their MMA 2019 stage performance or any of their Korean (MMA / MAMA ) award shows. I recommend you to watch their 2019 Melon Music Award Stage performance (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b9cG4DzpL_c.html) ...I will bet my life you have not seen any type of performance in any award show of that magnitude.. not even the "Grammy" can compare. BTS really made other Grammy stages look like school recitals or an intermission number in a christmas party 😏😂
