2013, 2014 and 2015 Bangtan were indeed INSANE live wilding and doing the most with the little resources they had! i mean, the rent was due for real for them. There's a certain burning passion you could feel in every single performance, their eyes were full of that spirit of wanting to take over the whole world... Yes! Brian Puspos choreographed it and he did a magnificent job! He said he wasn't told who it was for, and maybe a year later he stumbled onto BTS's performance and suddenly realized that was his choreographer! He hadn't even been told the name of the song. I love this song and choreography. There's a commercial for Puma, I believe, that Jimin dances to a piano version of Butterfly, and it's angelic 💜 💜💜

Just now went and watched, and it's so good! Brian Puspos created the choreography, not knowing which group it was for. A year later, watching BTS videos, "Wait... This sounds so familiar. Wait! That's MY choreography!" And that's how he found out he had collaborated with BTS.
One if their most beautiful songs. At last years in theatres Live at Busan final OT7 concert they did the vocal line only version. It was so beautiful I broke down in the cinema sobbing. It’s like the emotions just bubbled up out of me unstoppable. Everything about this overwhelmed me. The song. The MV. The choreography is one of their absolute best. A huge hidden gem.

The second time I listened to BTS without knowing them was in October 18, 2014, when watching a korean show called A Song for You (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PIKjNauCHzc.html), where they sang Let me Know. I imediately thought Jimin was a star, no doubt about it, he was going to shine on a stage. Curiously, I had already listened to the rapline's Satoori Rap, but I didn't realise in 2014 that what I heard a year before belonged to the same team. Also, when I heard Dope for the first time, I didn't know they where the sme group, until I heard Jimin's voice: "This is a very nice voice. Different. Wait, I know this voice from somewhere..." And now, it's been this long being and ARMY.

This is a Brian Puspos choreography, with additions by Jimin(!). It might as well have been made expressly for Jimin - it encapsulates his style perfectly. Also, as for the themes of the song, I believe it has a double (triple?) meaning; suicide. That, I believe, is the, "haunting undertone," that you sensed in the music. There's an underlying sense of melancholy that isn't often associated with butterflies in modernity, but makes complete sense in historical symbolism. In this light, if butterflies are the souls of the dead, then the song is about a loved one who's already gone...
Gorgeous… jungkooks adlibs even way back in this live performance just add SO much to the performance and the experience… I love it… that part with him and jimin towards the end back to back ugh gorgeous…. What strikes me about this even though Jk is my bias the emotion he performs this with is striking …. Even in the dance practice… all his parts he’s immersed…. And I just love how he commits to the emotion.. to the performance no matter where it is. He really shines here… they all do… they all do their job and really commit on stage. They really make this song come to life … just gorgeous BTS … gorgeous!

I am not sure if you heard this or not Gabbsi, but the boys would say that Jimin was always just a tiny beat behind everyone while dancing. His reply was that he was FEELING the song.
You know that was a joke right ? Lol jimin is always a beat ahead or behind them in pretty much every single dance they do. Hobi and jimin talked about it in a commentary thing and from then on I started seeing it everywhere. It’s bc his movements are small… contemporary dance makes him close off his moves while others explode … and him making smaller moves causes him to rush and then try to get in line which makes it obvious. He’s always looking to the side in dances bc of this … it’s just super obvious during like fake love or something like this with this style … but it still happens today lol

Brian Puspos did this choreography as well as Serendipity, and he said that he listened to Butterfly and liked it before they call him to make the choreo 😊 And yes it's so beautiful I love all aspects of this song
