BTS Crash Course 2020 History & Music of a World Sensation l REACTION! 

When they cried at forever young, i cried, we cried, army cried

oh they're huge here in europe. they consistently break into the charts in european countries and that's near impossible to do because they're usually dominated by songs from local artists and in that country's language or english alone. the fact that a korean artist singing in korean broke into european charts is basically a miracle. and they sell out the biggest european stadiums as well, bts sold out wembley stadium twice (the first time in just 90 minutes) as well as stade de france and this year they were going to perform in many big ones as well. their presence here can't be measured by youtube views really, that's just how the graph looks. i guess it's just that we aren't as big of streamers as ones from other continents above us but they are definitely very influential here.

BTS has sold some 7+ mil albums globally in 2020. Its not over yet. New album is coming out & Army is aiming for 7 mil pre-orders. Nobody, nobody in Korea or in the world, has these numbers. Or close to it. Do not underestimate Army's spending power, I mean if we can raise a million in 24 hours for BLM. 🤗 Most Armys are mature professionals and don't care to camp to stream on RU-vid or online streaming sites to rake up billions of views. We show our love through our pockets. BTS hold the record for most paid logins for an online concert - 765,500 for a mini 90-min concert. In comparison, kpop band (direct competitor) Super M sold 65,000 tickets. If the planned full BTS online concert is happening in Oct, expect the record to be smashed. BTS has already sold more than 700,000 seats in USA for their MOTS tour before it was postponed. This tour would have been the biggest for 2020 not only in the USA but in the world (tickets for other regions were not yet on sale as yet).. It's just a sad reality that BTS can't tour till God knows when. BTS is also the one of only two acts in the world to have #1 in the iTunes of 100 or more countries. The other act is the legendary Adele with her monster hit "Hello". Taylor Swift dont even have any songs with 100. How many songs do BTS has with at least 100? A whopping 7, most are not even promoted: - Sweet Night (Tae's solo) - Your Eyes Tell - Dynamite - Black Swan - Moon (Jin's solo) - My Time (JK's solo) - Filter (Jimin's solo) Global appeal and domination. Nothing less than that.

Honestly, I still think that the best introduction to BTS is the 28 minute documentary on RU-vid, Who is BTS, meet the seven members of Bangtan. Some people don’t like it because it’s from 2018 and a lot of stuff has happened since then, but it gives you background on each individual member and demonstrates each of their specific talents and personalities in one video. If you think it’s too long for a reaction video, I have watched numerous people react to it (probably more than 10) and I never get tired of seeing reactors start to really get the dynamics of the group. Otherwise there are videos on each individual member, which go more in-depth, but you have to watch 7 videos instead of one. Also, some of the BTS try not to laugh videos (although some are better than others) can give you a feel for their personalities as well as any of the RUN BTS videos that were like a BTS reality show, or the Video BTS is not a group they’re a family.

ARMYS dont like the word boyband. it doesnt matter what ellen or media says we dont like it bc ppl hear boyband and already assume bts is the same like 1D or backstreet boys. the western media does that ON PURPOSE. to downplay bts success. you will hear many say it even bts at some points bc theyre not seeing the push back armys get when you tell some in the general public theyre a boyband. we get scoffs, prejudiced views or ppl trying to say its cause theyre handsome and teen girls watch them. so we say group not boyband not even kpop. many clips in here are pre 2019 the past year and a half we stopped using boyband and kpop to describe bts.

As you noticed, HUGE variety of genres. My favorite albums are Map of the Soul 7, Wings, and Love Yourself: Tear.

When I was new, I decided at the las second to go to their Rose Bowl concert last year. Probably the most amazing concert ever and I enjoyed every song on their set list. So when I went to search for the music I heard in concert, I saw how many albums they had and they were gonna release a soundtrack for a new mobile game coming out soon at that time too. I just felt like I won the lottery with BTS. I felt rich, despite what I was going through that time. Their music helped me have something to look forward to outside of the stress and misery of big changes that year.

As for where to go from here, I would recommend a video that introduces each of the members. It adds so much context to their music if you get to know all the members. Then music wise, try starting at the beginning of their discography and just going through it chronologically. I think you'll really like the earlier albums and the issues they tackle. No More Dream is their debut single. There is a whole complex universe they've created with music videos for later albums which is harder to dive into if you're just getting into their music. You can still appreciate the music and videos, you'd just be missing the bigger picture for it. I'd also recommend checking out explanation videos for songs as some things are lost in translation (both that it doesn't always translate well and there are layers to the lyrics), and sometimes the lyrics require cultural context that is lost if you aren't Korean. Again, you can still enjoy the music otherwise. I guess I'm just someone who really likes to analyze the music I listen to. Would it surprise anyone that RM is my bias? with Suga and J-Hope being my bias wreckers? I'm a sucker for the rap line. And just cause you brought up the question, Love Yourself: Tear is my favorite album. This feels like so much rambling so sorry about that.

honestly asking an ARMY to pick their fave member, song , album, etc is nearly impossible....it is like asking which one of your children do you love more.....having said that, their album Map Of The Soul 7 impressed me so much and has such a collection of amazing songs on it....the think about BTS is that I usually don't like their title tracks as much as their side tracks...if you skip out on listening to the non title tracks on their album you are really missing some of their best music....and just fyi they make the best intros and outros ever! Thanks for taking your time in learning about them. BTS is popular with mixing and or doing different genre which is why if you don't have any prejudice you will love them. They just genuinely love music and not just a particular genre per se. Versatility at its best~

My favorite BTS album is hard to answer. If I go by solely musical tastes, HYYH p2 is my favorite. But if I go by storyline, Wings is my pick. But if I go by overall message, LY: Answer would be my top choice. And if I go by concept, it'd be the MotS series.

His vocals are powerful.but when he uses his breathy vocals it's full of emotions.(-great vocal range) Heavenly golden voice. JIMIN voice is in higher range and he can easily do highnotes and sometimes his voice is raspy Beautiful high-pitched voice Taehyung voice is in lower range and deep. He can do highnotes. (Great vocal range) and his growls.Soulful voice. JIN voice is in middle range,little bit nasally he can easily do highnotes, his voice is sweet like honey.
