This performance was supposed to be more like a joke where the vocal line attempts to rap ddaeng with the rap line. The original version of ddaeng doesn't feature the vocal line at all.
Yah thanks for clearing this to the people or else they will be people saying that bts rappers can't rap properly live this is the vocal line doing the rap as a joke
@@stylinzon sorry, i'm new to BTS, I didn't know that tid bit... i was just going off what was said in the subtitles and i thought since tae said "he'd been up all night for this" meant he was up all night practicing for that moment. I didn't realize they had been doing it the whole time.
AliasFan4Lyfe no it’s okay!! the vocal line performed ddaeng at the 2 busan musters and 2 seoul ones if i remember correctly. :) i think taehyung just meant he was excited for this performance because we all know he’s a big rapline fan haha but you’re still right, they just messed around during each of the performances anyways!
This was just a joke performance for the fans where the vocalists rapped each of the rappers parts. Jin and Jimin rapped J-Hope’s part, V rapped SUGA’s part (V loves the rappers cyphers and I believe he’s said before that SUGA’s rap is his favorite), and Jungkook rapped RM’s part (Jungkook is a sub-rapper, so he used to rap a lot on older songs, but he doesn’t rap as much anymore partially because he’s the main vocalist). This song is heavy on the wordplay, so I would suggest taking a look at DKDKTV’s breakdown. Here’s the links for a live of the original with the rappers, and at one point V comes out on stage and just dances around, as well as the link for the lyrical breakdown: “[BANGTAN BOMB] BTS PROM PARTY: UNIT STAGE - 땡 - BTS (방탄소년단)” - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JuZwvYDQ92E.html “BTS - DDAENG Explained by a Korean” - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fdJl1SL03Ac.html *Also note that the robe-like clothing they are wearing is a modernized version of the traditional Korean hanbok. The one RM is wearing in the performance linked above was actually made by a fan. They are wearing hanboks because Ddaeng is a bit of a diss towards people who were telling them they were too westernized or trying to appeal to the western audience, so they made a song with a trap and oriental beat, used a ton of Korean references/metaphors in the lyrics, and wore traditional clothing while performing the song.
Fun Fact: V is a fanboy of the Cypher's Edit: Also, Jungkook used to rap in the beginning of BTS's careers hence why his flow is on point. In fact he is actually the Sub-rapper of BTS while J-Hope is the Sub-Vocalist.
Everytime I hear people say that.... "Jungkook used to rap in the beginning" I'm like what do you think he did in DNA? Spitting bullshit? I know it was a super short rap... but can ya all stop acting as if it doesn't exist 🙄
Everyone has been talking about the rap/vocal switch up, but can we just appreciate the hard work and talent in these men? The rappers can sing, the singers can rap, and most new viewers don't even realize there's a dance line during their choreography. Kudos to these guys for putting so much work into their performance so that we can enjoy with them and reactors like you!
Who's gonna tell him that THAT particular event is not actually concert but just a fan meeting?? And, that's not ALL ppl who paid to be there, there was "live viewing" event that held right next to the venue. The demand was too high, so they set up huge screens on a park next to the venue, and ppl (including me) PAID to watch that screen..LOL
You new Scru so don't sweat the mistaken identity here. I'm loving watching you become ARMY. Ddaeng is a masterpiece of word play I highly suggest you look at Ddaeng explained by a Korean so you can fully appreciate the genius of these bars. Most performances they have stylist but they also have the choices to choose what they wear(I suggest looking at their airport fashion cause it be fireeee)
this show was called 5th Muster magic shop..it's a fan meeting event.. kinda like a concert but yea since fans been requesting for the vocal line to rap.. it finally happened in this event,.,.,
This is one of my favorite songs in terms of puns/wordplay and double (triple) entendres. For example, "ddaeng" is an onomatopoeia that's supposed to mimic a xylophone being hit on a reality contest show when someone is wrong and an onomatopoeia for school bell being rung. In a Korean card game (Seotda), ddaeng also roughly translates to "invincible" because it's the highest combination you can get. I really recommend DKDKTV's explanation to anyone.
This was NOT the one to watch. The real one is just the rap line, when they are wearing their native garb. The quality of this is not on par with that.
A recommendation for you to look at is another K-pop group called KARD. This group is unique because this group has both guys and girls. For someone listening to the first time to them is a recent song called Red Moon. It has a mix of Latino and oriental beat that stands out from the rest of the K-pop groups. So it would be cool for you to react and your thoughts on the group.
PLEASE READ THIS! You have to check the lyrics video of this. And the explanation video. This was not the original. The original was only the Rap line (RM, SUGA, J-Hope). They did this as a fan-service during the fan meetup in Korea. Originally it was made for the anniversary of BTS, back in June 13, 2018. Although the Vocal line (Jin, Jungkook, V, Jimin) did a great job, the original is even better. Please please please check it out
Yeah you need to watch the practice for Ddaeng. Not only is it hard it is also hilarious too. This version the vocal line switch places with the rap line.
They've surpass area's they sell out the biggest Stadium's in the world well within a couple of hours. Have you noticed the Vocalist are also Rapping, this live one was different they got the Vocal line to join in. I love how Jin really gets into the spirit of things and Jimin try's not to laugh, V did really well as did Jungkook but he used to Rap in the earlier tracks. Those silky long jacket type things are Traditional Korean clothing. Oh Joonkook has the Fandom name ARMY tattoo's on the back of his hand he also has a full tattoo sleave. I think every member has a tattoo's now as they all have the number 7 some where on their bodies as a 'Friendship tatt.' Jimin has a few tattoos, down the back of his neck and down his spine he has the phrases of the moon, 'Nevermind' on his side and 'for youth' on his upper arm. So yeah they have Tattoo's. As it was illegal to have tattoo's in South Korea and it's not something that is seen very often, there are still time's while on TV Junkook has to cover his hand tatoo's.
Thank you so much for react to these amazing artist, they’re really special, they’re great human beings. Our Bangtan boys are the best!! I’m so proud to be a BTSARMY forever!🙏💜
“Live performances is a contact sport” FACTS I’ve got bruised up from these live shows people jumping and going crazy. Don’t even realize how crazy you went until you take a shower later that day and you got marks all over and can’t move a muscle.
This is the vocal line flipping the script and running this, its so epic and tells you how versatile this crew is. That fact that you was still vibing off the vocal line is a testament to you and them.
Don't pay too much attention to those scolding you for watching the "wrong" video. We need to be more welcoming to new ARMY like you. Yes, this is a part switch performance from the end of a tour. But it sounds great, and that's even more impressive, really. Enjoy what you enjoy, Scru. It's fun watching you become a fan.
i really like the stuff you put out and you've been so nice with bts that i'm already following you on spotify and telling everyone i know to listen to you, when you make it big imma go watch you perform dude
Yes, they have stylist. A lot. I read, there was a time in 2019, when they had to come to 2 or 3 shows in Korea, and the staffs are around 30 persons. Stylists, bodyguards, assistans, managers...etc.
The fact that this isn't even technically a concert just makes it better. This is from the 5th muster, and musters are fan meets with performances, so...yeah. out boys special. I know they did this at 5th muster in japan soo...is this the right perfomance?
The guy with the hat was J Hope, Have you reacted to the colab between him and J Cole. J-Hope as you can see is well loved rapper, he took a real Humble verse and part in that colab. Ps J-Hope is such a fan boy of J Cole. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This version the singing line covered the rappers song. While RM, Suga, and J-Hope supervise. That's why V was so excited. Both he and JK can rap. I'm not sure Jimin does or really wants too.
You should react to the original performance by rap line and then comapre it to this XD Rapline kills this song, from vocal line only JK has experience with rapping (the last one who rapped) .Tae=V (who you paused on while he rapped around 6:26) loves rap and is the biggest fan of cyphers, but just like the others in vocal line has basically no experience and did this mostly for fun.
Wow, I think this was the last bts reaction over a week ago, that’s to bad because I really like this channel and the commentary! Especially since we’ve been on lock down.😢
You should also see the explaination of this song by the same guy you saw explain Ugh. You should also listens to Agust Ds ”The Last” and Agust D’s new album D-2. Many great songs on there.
You HAVE TO watch DKDKTV EXPLANATION OF DDAENG. First you nay want to see the lyric break down vid. This was originally a rap line only song. On this performance they're having fun letting the vocal line get a crack at it. The DKDKTV explanation video will show you all the amazing word play and Korean puns, etc that make this deep song and slap back at their haters. You've got to watch the DKDKTV EXPLANATION VIDEO!! DKDKTV actually has explanation videos for a bunch of BTS songs. In this crazy time everyone please be careful, be safe, be well and God bless you all.🙏 💜
Unironically I've been hitting up comment sections of other bts reactors to please react to this version of Ddaeng and Scru just happens to pick this one lol so I appreciate that also yes as others have said you gotta react to the rap line version it is on fiiiiyaaaahhh
You have to watch MMA 2019 BTS. It will literally I mean🤯you mind. My Boy can be put up against any group in kicking ass for an award show performance. You can thank me later. (*just remember it’s an award show*)
Holy crap, here at 2 views??? I gotta keep recommending Dan Bulls videos Far Cry Primal and Hellblade: Senuas Song. Additionally, there's this little known underground rapper named Jarv that is SERIOUSLY poppin! Check out his entry to RA The Rugged Man's Definition of a Rap Flow contest here on youtube, it's seriously dope! It would mean the world to me. Keep up the dope work Scru!
bts has 7 members; 4 of them are vocals and 3 of them are rappers. this song "DDAENG" is rap line's song. this performance is a joke haha vocal line is rapping it for fun. this is not the actual performance
When comments mention this was a “joke” performance because the vocal line was involved I’m left wondering if “joke” is the right word to use ... when Tae mentions he stayed up all night for this .... Regardless, I think it was a really fun and a very enjoyable performance 👍🏻
This isn’t the original, in this performance the rap line switched with the vocal line, meaning the vocal line was rapping their parts, but in the original it’s only the rap line
