With my usual disclaimer- I don't support DKDKtv but that being said, they do have a really good Ddaeng explanation video that you might like. @@maka858 basically he went on a mini rant abt how he was tired of bts & wanted someone new on top. his supporters cover for him by saying he got a lot of hate & death threats in response- which anyone would agree is extreme - but the thing is... anyone can get death threats for anything... ive been told to "km" in youtube comments more times than i can count, that doesnt mean i have a blanket excuse for anything bad i might have said. so i dont get why he got a free pass for disrespecting bts (while profiting off them) just bc some tweens bullied him afterwards. he also took his feelings about bts out on txt too which added to armys anger. he never apologized, he just doubled down on what he said & painted army as crazy for reacting negatively. thats why some armys dont like him.

The stutter is deliberate. Kind of poking fun that those that used to hate on them are now stuttering and tripping over themselves to ingratiate them to BTS

Looove this song. The rap line is always superior imo. Jhope is forever my bias, but I'm rap line biased. I loved all their parts here, great in their own way. But I have to give the lyrics to RM. He's so clever with words! And the stuttering rap was so clever too. And yeah, it was not to mock people with stutter, glad you didn't take that in the wrong way. But I love Jhope's "UH" and Suga's verse was fire too! I loved Suga's voice here!

Jungkook has a bit of a stutter sometimes, so it definitely not meant to make fun of it. I love this song, it's my favourite rap line song. You should definitely see vocal line performance of it

I was waiting for this moment for so long! 😆 I can only imagine them writing this one, full of wordplays and meanings. I love that they use traditional references a lot, even in the live performance with their clothes. There is a version of this one with the vocal line rapping. I hope you watch someday. This is a favorite rapline song. It’s so fun and the making of/behind the scenes is one of the few times we see all 3 working in the studio on a song writing together. Such swag in this.
So, the guy who cut in the performance was V, also known as the biggest fan of te rap line. There are some videos of him cheering for or singing rap line's verses. I don't want to give any spoilers to the cyphers. Ddaeng is also known as the cypher part 5 (the last one). The cyphers (part 1-4) are all directed to their haters and they are awsome. And the cypher medley in Seoul 2017 is a must at the end. Also I think you've grasped the meaning of Ddaeng pretty well, so if you REALLY want to watch the explanation video, please do it on your own. We are looking forward to watching the new reactions. There are so, so many increadible songs to listen.
You will probably want to check out the 5th Muster 2019 performance of this song with the vocal line rapping. The rapline did mostly hype for this performance. It is so much fun! Love your reactions!

Lol you did a great job working through the doolset lyrics, there's just so much going on! I would recommend the ddaeng explanation video, it's a bit more concise and since it's verbally explained it was easier to understand everything. I feel like I was only able to understand the one you read through because I'd aready seen the other video haha
In the lyrics was well explained but you should whatcha Daeng explained by a Corean, it's very informative. This song is a master piece for the words play hidden there.

So RM, SUGA AND J-Hope = 🧐genius right!!🤯 I love this song, the sound and the lyrics are absolute genius! 😁 Haha, love when V comes out on that live performance. I know that live was on BangtanTV channel so was official video, but in my opinion it has shocking sound production - Bighit didnt do so well there. Some fan channels have videos of that performance with much clearer sound - ill link 2 I enjoy below. As others have, I reccommend watching DKDKTV explaination for this one. Even though doolset explained a lot given the complexity of the wordplay in the song i think DKDKTV vid is really beneficial in this case. It will solidify your understanding even more and clarify a few more things for you. And you get the clips and audio to explain things like the kids song that is referenced and clips and images of the card game so it's very interesting. I highly recommend as others have that you watch the bangtan bomb behind the scenes video, which shows them working on the songs production and practising for that performance you watched in the studio. It has the other members fooling around singing and dancing with them while they practice - it's heaps of fun. And also recommend you watch a whole group performance of Ddaeng. Finally you heard it 😁😁 ddaeng is actually a song that sounds better live. The live version you saw here was their 1st performance on small scale for festa. But they improved very much in next performances. There's a clip where vocal members also took some rap parts for fun. And Taehyung 😂😂 if you get to it's behind the scenes, he is the biggest rapline enthusiast. About explanation, I would say the same - DKDKTV - they explained it with Korean context. Written lyrics and explanations didn't do much justice.
