BTS is a group of 3 rapper's and 4 vocalists. And not pop style rapper's but 2 are hardcore underground rapper's and one was a street dancer. The leader of the group is RM one of the rapper's. Though the group debuted in the kpop circle in 2013 they are not a traditional kpop group. They write, compose and produce their own music, which kpop greatly frowns on. And the traditional kpop community has been doing everything they can for the past 10 years to try and sink these young men. So Army, BTS Fandom, do not like them getting grouped into a community that wants nothing but their failure
That was too cute when you recognized Jungkook. Glad you guys are enjoying BTS. I came here from the Mic Drop video. You popped up for me for the first time today. Enjoy the journey!
Y’all were right that is a young jungkook whistling in the beginning. Rm is the leader of BTS . Jungkook is their main vocalist. This a group of 7 talented youngmen that contributes in writing, producing, composing, rap, vocals & dance. Loved your reactions and open mind to the group😊
K-pop isn't just 1 genre it stands for "Korean popular" music and BTS is DEFINITELY not just 1 genre. They do Jazzy, Poppy, Rap, Ballads, EDM, Latin, ect. There are just so many. I think y'all would enjoy Hobipalooza(Lollapalooza 2022). ARMY dubbed it the new name after j-hope(aka Hobi). He headlined there last summer and his set was FIRE!! He had the biggest attendance in Lolla history! Over 105,000 were there for it in person and over 15mil watched the stream online RT as history was being made. Also, I think you'd enjoy BTS' House Party(I think 2017) when 3J (j-hope, Jimin and JK(Jungkook) danced to 3 different English songs (I'm sure y'all would recognize the music). But it was pretty dope, too. Borahae to you, dare I say, possibly baby ARMY in the making? Looks like y'all found the BTS rabbit hole!
Bts made me like pop. At first it wasn’t something I’d willingly listen to but if it was on the radio I didn’t care. But now I actually like pop music cause of them lol
Thanks for reacting! Glad you found them! I'm coming up on my two year anniversary of discovering them. 7:04 To the best of my knowledge, Kpop technically is a genre where, for the most part, the management company makes most of the decisions for the groups. What they wear, how they act, how they look (for instance, they can't change their hairstyle without permission), what songs they sing, etc. The reason we tend to say that BTS is not Kpop is because they are more involved in all aspects of their career. It's caused problems over the years because other management companies were not happy with their freedom and their success. You've probably been recommended a video from XCeleste to give you a synopsis of the group. I also like the videos from Boracity Magazine. They have one that goes into more detail about the difference between typical Kpop and BTS. For a song to watch, you might like Boys with Fun. It's one of their older ones. There's not an official mv, so you can catch either their dance practice or a live performance.
The leader in K-pop groups does not mean the same thing as it might mean in western music groups. The leader in a K-pop group is like being the captain of a sports team. The leader of a K-pop band leads the members. BTS leader is RM - Kim Namjoon. A K-pop bands leader is responsible for guiding the group, motivating the group members and providing thoughtful advice. This means for example, that the leader does the most of talking at award ceremonies or other events. The leader protects the group members, listens to them, and tries to find compromises when there are disagreements. RM used to do most of the talking in US interviews and award ceremonies. Mostly because he used to be the only member of BTS that was fluent in English. Now they all can speak and understand English.
These guys choreography is tje hardest youll ever see like its insane but with being a good dancer i have accomplished a handful of their choreography throughout the years.
