THIS IS HIS TIME LMAO IM KIDDING but it doesn look nice seeing them enjoying and seeing their fans after a long time it was always 0 audiebce sibce covid started
Can I just say that the stylist for New Edition was on point last night? They looked sharp! Also Jin mirroring their dance moves and all of BTS syncing up when they danced along just made me giggle. You know you've been dancing together for a long time if you move in unison even when you're just bopping around at an award show.
BTS: “Yo is this gonna be us in the future?” Really tho I'm so glad BTS got to be there when they had the Boy band stage collaboration because BTS have had to be the only band for a while and now they got to watch this really fun boy band stage and I think that's so cute.
Imagine a boyband winning artist of the year on the same night new edition performs with NKOTB. History upon history upon history. Legends performing for new legends. BTS wouldn’t be who they are today without the influence and success of these men on the stage and you can see the respect they have for them. This is beautiful.
@@sailordayix I grew up in Korea and I wasn’t born until 1997. I remember seeing these guys on TV and how much they influenced the idols I grew up with. To see them live, with BTS watching and dancing along, made me cry lol.
BTS is enjoying the night just like how they enjoys in every Asian awards shows, and you can see how they give respects to their Senior Artists!! Love they're having a good time. Thanks for the vid Bris!!!
Yes give thanks for this paparazzi style, yet illegal unlicensed video of BTS invading their privacy. By the way this FUBAR video of BTS that's a violation of copyright laws. their live performance is owned by American Music Awards and or HYBE labels corporation, is a copyrighted performance.
🤣🤣🤣 I cant with Jin. He was sooooooooo into it. He was having a GOOD OL TIME 👏👏👏 Love it! Nkotb and new edition started my life for boy bands. So excited to see the full circle at this event!
That is the evidence that the " boy bands" can live for a long time and to be inspiration for the new generations of boys and girls. Very proud of be a NKOTB fan, an New Generation fan and a BTS fan!!
I literally laughed Everytime the camera went to Grandpa Jin during this performance...he was just so into it...he was like "stand back you ones this was my generation...!"🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️
OMG... as a New Edition/NKOTB fan back when they were actually new 😄 THIS WAS A MOMENT! I about cried 🤦♀️ Like time and space folded, and my past and present selves met. 😳
What I love about this is that Tae, Jin and RM are dancing around and going so hard and they're literally 3/5 of the introverts while the rest of them are just vibing along 😂 you can totally tell that's this is 100% their kinda music 😁 And just... Tae hyping up the people around him at the end 😂👌🏼
@@ijustwannabehappier-v4973 ah you're right, RM is pretty much in the middle if I remember correctly... but Tae actually is an introvert according to his mbti test 🤷🏻♀️ Also, being quiet or shy/loud or energetic doesn't necessarily have anything to do with intro-/extroversion 😅 Edit: he posted it on weverse last month if you want to check it... To be fair, he was extroverted before - which I did know - so maybe this info just didn't get out as much
@@PaintinYourWing Oh, so he really isnt as extrovert as his debut days? That makes sense, since he has changed soooo much personality wise. But yh agree with RM, hes an ambivert. Im introvert with some extrovert tendencies too lol
@@ijustwannabehappier-v4973 yeah he definitely changed a lot! Really? I do too! I actually have the same type as Tae now (which is also why I clearly remembered that he's introverted) ☺️ do you know your mbti type? :)
@@PaintinYourWing also introvert isn't always about how comfortable you are around people, it's about whether social interaction energizes or drains you. And you can be introverted and still care about whether the people around you are comfortable and having fun.
OMG its so funny how I used to have a NKOTB nightgown and bed sheets and now i love BTS and have BTS bed stuff. I’ve always been a boy band kind of girl.
@@atwice4375 Yes! There are thousands of us, maybe millions now. Do you think after our teens we just magically become ugly, constipated trolls and forget what good music and good looking men are?? Lol 🙃 Borahae Army 💜 Blockheads 💛 and edititioners 💙
I´m crying I love NKOTB and New Edition, but as an ARMY this is the most beautiful video I have seen in my life. When I watch the full performance I was in tears.
Not everyone wants that much attention on them. I think more big named artists would skip it if they sat like this all the time. Letting them be out of the spotlight when they are not performing on stage is normal. The stage should be the focus anyways out of respect.
That was just an awesome performance. I didn’t think I would see NE and NKOTB with all members, performing on the same stage. Brings back some memories…
@@cloverthv the way in which new edition was trained and their success are the blueprint behind the start up of kpop. the kpop industry literally studied them as well as other black musicians and boy bands to start the industry. New edition literally paved the way for BTS because without new edition the kpop industry would not be what it is today. I suggest that you learn about the origin of kpop to further understand the impact of new edition and black American culture on the creation of the industry.
@@sesi9753 although they got inspired n remain the role model but it not relatable that they paved the way BTS get what they work for their success is of what they struggle it's not a particular artist who paved their way I respect every artist like they have their own talent which they r being respected n have huge fan . But u r kinda underestimating BTS by telling these artist paved their way
@@sanskritii5414 I don’t think you understand what paving the way means. Paving the way ≠ influenced by. Paving the way mean that there was someone/something there first who created a path that others are now able to walk down. New edition as well as other black musicians created this style of music and the genres. Now there are other artist who use those things to reach their own success. Paving the way does not negate another person’s struggles and it’s not a diss to those who now follow that same model or genre. No one is saying that BTS did not struggle or are underestimating their success 😂 I think you’re just putting that negative connotation on there when that’s not what the phrase implies at all.
OH EM GEEEE I got chills when I heard “step by step” cause this mom was THEEEEE BIGGEST NKOTB fan I and didn’t miss one single solitary concert that came to the city of Detroit, still know the songs and dances and can’t believe I’ll be taking my daughter to see BTS in 10 days and 14 hours! I’m so happy to see the boys enjoying their trip so far! They deserve it and the whole world!
This makes me so happy I mean it and put the biggest smile on my face but just to see the behind-the-scenes of how much they were dancing to them like’ my gosh they love New Edition😍😍😍
This is my era of boy bands. I grew up loving both NKOTB & New Edition and watching BTS who I have come to love so much enjoy this performance is everything!
Sorry if I came off as toxic.. Obviously all groups are amazing. BTS paved the way for ARMIES. They light up the night ✨ They bring a smile to our faces everyday… Nobody can deny they are record breaking kings. Our idols paved our ways wether it be BTS or another group.. but for me as a person they paved my way and they have brought me so much happiness.. please try to understand that. 💜☔️✨ *this was just to some misunderstood reply :)*
This is the first time I've seen Yoongi like this. He literally followed the choreo to every song. This is probably a combination of things: 1) My first time seeing him react to legendary American boybands. 2) Maybe his first time seeing live American boybands performances 3) Maybe he's just glad to be back with people real time again. 4) BTS's concert was soon and he was expending extra nerves/energy... I really don't know. I just know that as an older fan I was so touched to see not only Yoongi, but ot7 following along to everything...I know they're young and I know Step by Step was super popular in SK to the point where younger kpop artists have performed it, but they danced to NE too and I just...even not knowing, they vibed anyway I just...💖the RESPECT is REAL. I didn't think I could love them more than I do!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
It so clear how bts adores black culture music and american music and style and so does other k pop groups .... I wish people would not get the wrong idea and call it cultural appropriation when they simply just genuinely love our music and style. They find it to be so so cool .... Anyways .... Congrats bts for winning all nominated awards y'all worked so hard and deserve it ... FIGHTING!!! We purple you bts
Exactly! Cultural appropriation is definitely a thing, but BTS has never hesitated to show love and name off specific Hip Hop and R&B artists that they admire and were inspired/influenced by. In interviews, Vlives, and their very own playlists can you find acts from older generations to gen z that they bop to. There's such a difference, and if our community would just be open minded for 30 seconds, they'd be able to realize it for what it truly is.
@@willynillysillymonobear Exactly my dear and it's not just BTS, NCT, BLACK PINK, TXT and more..... They all admire our culture. (After all black people are the foundation of music so ofc) Like really love it and the fans give them such a hard time when they braid their hair and imitate it. And it's such double standard because so many persons imitate the dressing and style of k pop and anime for dance, hair, everything and they aren't bashing us about culture appropriation. The fans need to grow up and learn to appreciate each other dispute of cultural differences... Culture makes us different but there is no need for the hustility at all.... We all just need love and appreciation.
It's great that our music and culture is liked by them, but at the end of the day it is culture appropriation. Even with NKOTB. When one goes out their way to profit from your very culture that you're ridiculed for and they're applauded is egregious. Getting lost in the emotional windstorm of entertainment should never be a means to disregard your culture.
OH MY DAYS!!! I haven't heard the song, 'Step by Step' in so long. This takes me back so much. Also, love seeing BTS vibing to New Kids On The Block!!!!
I took my daughters to their first concert which was the BTS Love Yourself tour. In my teen years I saw both NKOTB and New Edition perform live as well. Watching the AMAs with my lovelies, and BTS dancing to the bands I love so much was a full circle moment for me.
All I got to say is I'm glad BTS enjoyed themselves and Mr. Ralph Tresvant had legendary swag. Still smooth. Look up "New Edition & Rob Base - Crucial" at an award show and you will see why they are so legendary.
I've been loving watching BTS just chilling and having so much fun lately! First, them just singing and dancing their hearts out and being unbothered at the Harry Styles concert. Then winning Artist of the year, and just jamming out to all those other amazing artists at the AMAs. It has been a true joy to us ARMYs💜
It’s so wholesome seeing Jin get loose and have a good time with his little dad dance. He has no rhythm when it’s not choreographed but still so endearing to see him enjoying himself
It warms my heart so much to see them not giving a damn what anyone says and just having a blast. I have to say that JIN is such a mood!!! I love it here!!!
I absolutely loved this. Them watching and enjoying the older generations of boy (men*) bands like themselves. Such an adorable moment. I’m glad they experienced this and I’m glad the older generations got to see BTS. They get a feel for how things are done on the other side of the world! I loveee New Edition, this was great!!!💜💜💜
