BTS FESTA 2022 Reaction! 

When they're talking about staying together, they meant living together, not staying as a group. They have all repeated over the last two years that they can't wait to be together and perform as a group again. They were eating one last dinner at their shared apartment. The lease contract was expiring and they needed to clear out all their stuff. The company wasnt the one pushing them, they pushed themselves for ARMY, thinking that they couldn't let us down. They wanted to explore more on their own and felt that that would be letting us down. As for being honest, theyve had to be careful with wat tbey expressed with the military enlistment coming up. They are also honorary ambassadors for Korea's/Seoul's tourism industry. The bigger they got, the more responsibilities they were given by their country. And all their solo work was backed by their company. They were given free reign to explore. They've spent their twenties (and teens for several of them) working towards their goals as a team. This was their opportunity to be individuals and grow and learn on their own. The truth they weren't able to share at this dinner was not just that they were pausing group activities, but that they were all going to enlist soon. They didn't announce their intention to enlist till the day after their free Busan concert. This concert was one they were basically strong armed into doing by their government. They were made official ambassadors in Korea's bid to host the World Expo in Busan. The enlistment announcement was basically a "screw you" to the politics that were being used to dangle possible military exemptions. In Namjoon's song Groin, he declares hes not a diplomat. They don't like having to watch everything they say or do, but the more accolades and recognition they achieved, the more they felt boxed in. And they all re-signed another contract (before their current ones expired) to continue on as a goup after they are discharged. Namjoon posted this news on weverse right before the company officially announced the signing of their new contracts.

Damn, all of that and you guys still had the nerve to twist their words. No money can make a group that hate each other stay together, the industry is full of disbanded groups to show you that. Also Namjoon wasn't complaining against the members, but the Kpop industry, the media and all the shit they went through like the boicots and threatens to their lives to say the least. And the unfair treatment is there, western hate everything that's not in english and asians hate the "western touch" so they were damned anyways. Try paying attention instead of projecting next time. That's why armys get upset and then you say we're the bad guys. This is so tiring.

y'all have been watching BTS for a long time now and still project your own thoughts on them. RM never meant that he had a problem with being the songwriter and leader, he actually always expressed his gratitude for the members that take a bigger role than him during performances, because he didn't start as a dancer, nor did he ever want to be the center. he was just under a lot of pressure and that affected him because he was always the one that had to stand up for the team and speak for the team, that's literally his role as a leader. its harder than you think. he spoke about this in other videos and in his recent album. i'm saying this in the nicest way possible, but it's like you keep trying to find bad blood between them and that's simply not the case. you always twist their words and act like you know them better than ARMYs that know their whole history and watched the majority of their content of over 10 years. you are creating a bad culture that's perfect for solo stans and shippers, people that don't care about BTS as artists and make up scenarious and lies about the members. if they would not like eachother would they even consider getting matching tattoos? most members never wanted to get a tattoo in their life, yet they decided to it with the others. thats how much they love their team. they all love eachother and respect eachother and most importantly their are proud of eachother. by doing this you are treating the members as characters, not real people. we, ARMY, the ones you dislike so much are the ones that helped BTS overcome everything, just as they helped us back. we are a team. idk why you think that ARMYs are awful people, it's clear to me you only interact with solos and shippers that pose as ARMY and spread misinformation. the actual ARMYs are amazing people. this video is an emotional and serious video for us and maybe you were not ready to watch it. and i know you mainly like Jimin and JK, which is probably why you want to separate from ARMY, but as you could see, Jimin's fans will always be ARMY, not solos. the members would never associate themselves with people that don't like their team, especially Jimin. he even stated before that he drops any person in his life that talks bad on BTS. so maybe think about that next time you want to call yourself Jimin's fan. and whats the deal about shading Jin? he only said that his album would come out later because he already knew he would not have time for it, as he enlisted just a few months after that video. that's why Yoongi said they would not be able to have this schedule soon, because they knew they would enlist. you need to learn more about their culture and maybe in that way you would understand them more, cuz yall made 0 progress since yall started and i say this because ive been checking out your videos since the very first one and im lowkey sad that after this long you are still putting words into the members mouths and treat them as lab rats for your enjoyment.

Okay so a few corrections. Hoseok (J-Hope) was not a rapper before BTS, he was a street dancer. Suga and RM were underground rappers before joining BigHit. All of the members have participated in songwriting throughout their career, it's not just a few of the members who are responsible for their lyrics. When they mentioned the releases of their singles, they meant Dynamite, Butter, Life Goes On, and PTD, not their solo works. BTS had already each worked on and released solo projects years before this Festa video came out. Jimin wasn't disagreeing with V when he said they have a lot that they'd like to tell ARMY but they couldn't; he simply meant that there was information that they couldn't disclose at the time. When it comes to BTS making videos with women, ARMY does not care. This tired narrative of ARMY being a bunch of childish fangirls needs to end. And finally, on the topic of Jin being an actor, he was actually a theater major before even joining the company and he graduated so yes, he would be a great actor.

I don't really like how you talk sometimes about army, we aren't all the same so don't judge all of us

I've witnessed your BTS journey since day 1 and it's been very wholesome seeing you learn about them and change your initial thoughts, specially as someone who only got into BTS a few months before you guys did and as someone who also believed in those stereotypes and made judgements about them in the past. As much as I love your reactions I have to say that Jody has a constant habit of jumping into conclusions and making false assumptions and narratives, like what happened in this reaction and in most of his BTS videos. In your early videos you were straight up insulting the guys so you can't blame Army for getting defensive specially if you know about the terrible hardships BTS have gone through and still are going through as we speak. Army is one of the biggest fan bases in the world with an estimated 90M fans of all ages from all over the world, so of course you'll find some bad apples, but for the most part Army are very nice and supportive. Many celebrities like John Cena and Halsey have spoken about how they wish every fandom were like Army. If you look up the amount of charities and good deeds that Army constantly does you'll understand. Those people you're referring to including shippers and solos aren't Army but unfortunately they're loud. Also yes of course we don't know them personally like that but one thing about BTS is that their bonds with each other and with Army are undoubtedly real. They're a family and they're probably the most authentic celebrities out there. They always speak their minds. So no they didn't stay together for money they actually can't wait to get back with each other. I didn't mean to ramble for that long but as a regular viewer of your channel I felt like sharing my honest thoughts with you and I hope you think about them and try to understand where we're coming from. At the end of the day the people who watch and support you whether here or on Patreon are mostly Army. Peace 💜

Guys, Armys don't think of BTS members as perfect beings nor do we think we know everything about them, we love them and we suppport them. I know there are irrational fans out there but that's not all of us.

What a terrible analysis. Remember, they couldn't mention the military. That is what they were hinting at, not being able to say everything. Remember, there is no blueprint here for BTS to follow. They are going into untested waters, taking a hiatus BEFORE enlisting to relax, prepare solos and other content. Everything that we are enjoying now while they are serving. So it is scary for them going into the unknown. Will ARMY support them as soloists? Will they wait for 3 years until 2025? Of course we will, but all this has not been done before. They even had to release a statement after this live to confirm they weren't actually splitting up. ARMY is estimated to be over 100m worldwide yet you bring up the few crazies that you always get with any fandom and label us all as that. I feel extremely offended by your comments. Bro Armys are not that childish as you think they are yeah we joke around stuff like that when they have women in their videos but mostly armys are happy to see them grow as individuals . Armys are the most diverse Fandom with most of them age between 30-40 years . This fandom is so diverse you cannot generalise a whole fandom just because you had one or two bad interactions . Pls respect Armys if you want to make videos about BTS because BTS hate those who talk badly about Armys .Let me tell you one thing you can find a kid as small as a 5 years old to an Army as old as a 60 - 80 years old . When RM said it was unfair, i think he meant either the timing of COVID, the cancelled tour, the criticism for delaying military service till age 30 (original rule is to enlist by 28 at the latest). He definitely wouldn’t be referring to the Scammy snub. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.💜

Look at the lyrics of Yet To Come. The missing piece is that they knew they were going in the military after solo work, but couldn’t announce it yet because the Busan concert had to happen first, and the concert was part of the bid for the World Expo in Korea. Lots of people still thought they would get exempted from the military and the Govt was dangling the possibility until after the Expo bid. BTS already knew they were going in no matter what. They couldn’t say it at the concert either but right after they made the announcement. If the govt had given the exemption, they would have had to do a lot of what the govt wanted and they just took back the control and enlisted. I’m not making this up, after the announcement they went live several times and said this is what we couldn’t tell you. It makes me sad that you still focus on the negative fans, instead of the Army that embrace you.

I think they forget that we have watched hundreds of live videos where they express everything, even if it is way after the fact. Sometimes they can’t say stuff, this isn’t new, but they always come back around later and disclose it. Except their dating and personal family stuff, we would never want to take that privacy from them. Think what you want about Hybe, but Bang PD has always supported and fought for them. Although they have claimed exhaustion, they have never blamed him for anything. He is the first to give all credit to BTS for their success. He’s human, so not perfect, but they think so highly of him that I would never attack him on their behalf.

it's good that you watched that video. BTS can sometimes tell their thoughts when it's not necessarily for big audience, for example on their own app weverse, they can share there, but this FESTA 2022 was the most honest of them as a group, and that was the first time they announced their plan for solo albums. and btw, about mixtapes and albums, rap line were releasing their own solo stuff through mixtapes (it was not on Spotify first, I think they released it on SoundCloud) while working on BTS at the same time, long before that video in 2022. RM first mixtape was in 2015, then he had Mono in 2018, and only then in 2022 he released his first official album. J-hope had his mixtape Hope World in 2018, and then released 1st official album Jack in the Box in 2022. Suga (but under the name of Agust D) had 2 mixtapes Agust D in 2016 and D-2 in 2020 before his 1st official album in 2022. The difference between their mixtapes and albums is that they didn't have promotions and physical copies of mixtapes, they couldn't sell it like that, rap line just did it to try their own colors separately from BTS, to have a place to say things they wanted to say as individuals (and also they're rappers who were in charge of writing and producing music for BTS for many years, so they probably wanted to gain more experience like that). And after Festa 2022, all members had opportunity to make solo albums, so rap line were also able to do that officially

I was excited for this video but I was left with disappointment, smh how can y’all twist their words/look too deeply into their words when they poured their hearts out , are constantly repeating the things they said in that dinner, and asked that fans take their words as is. Even Korean army praised them and said that when translated to Korean, Bts’s words were straight to the point/ direct, bts aren’t afraid to speak up about their thoughts and feelings, also the money thing is not the reason they stayed 7 for a long time, if this were true, they would’ve broken up during the first years of their career. 2013-2015, they weren’t making much, popularity wasn’t huge, they were close to bankruptcy and told by their company that they couldn’t afford to give them necessities like a good dorm, etc.

We, ARMY, watch every content, like tv show , interviews, documentary,lives. Read every article, magazines interviews, books. We know every photoshoot, post, letters, every hardship, we saw them cry so many times I have known them since 2018, Idol era. Not that army are TOXIC or anything(ofc there might be some) but when they get defensive and they tell that they know about the boys means....if we travel with someone for sooooo long and share soooo many memories, watched every single video of them starting from mv's to behind the scenes,documentaries,witnessed their hardships in real time(unlike you knowing about them later through videos),even though army gets to see onlyyy what THEY wanted to show us....doesn't mean we know nothing about the boys and how they think about things and how the connection between bts and army worked through all these years. ARMY does understand them and wholeheartedly have been supporting each of their chosen directions and look forward to the reunion in 2025. This is where BANG PD went back to producer role at BIG Hit so that BTS could do their own thing over the next few years and get an opportunity to rest and grow.

This is the Festa where they basically had to announce their hiatus as a group. At this point they already knew Jin would be enlisting after The Astronaut release. They all knew they would be enlisting. So they had already been planning their solo albums and all of the content they have been releasing. They were scared over the uncertainty of it all because they know that in the past when idols enlist they comeback and it’s not the same. The popularity is not the same and that’s why they planned all their content the way they did. They bombarded us with content and albums and singles to the point where it felt like they weren’t gone. Their preparation was elite! They started this when they were at their biggest high. They must have been so stressed and scared. They have been going fast and furious for almost 10 years almost disbanding in 2018. This is when Jin was supposed to initially enlist. But the groups needs came first. As RM said after Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to dance he felt the group kinda lost their identity. Like what kind of group were they now. It was getting harder to write songs for the group but inside they had a lot to say but they have to keep a certain image for the group. That’s why timing is everything. This is where they allowed themselves to start their solo activities and pausing group activities. This is where they wanted to show us their individual personalities and color. Because they are all different. They were hoping that when they started this chapter 2 Armys will still follow. They know their fanbase is inflated by people who are bandwagoners…solo stans, weirdo shippers. But they know Army core is there. Will their core audience still be there. And obviously we are. We are the Army that loves and accepts them no matter what. We take what they give and we accept it. We put our trust in them. I personally have loved chapter 2. I loved watching each one of them do their own thing. Hobi was the most surprising . I never saw that album and image coming from our Sunshine. But I loved it! I loved seeing this side of Hobi. I’m glad they got to do what they wanted before enlisting. I want to see them do things that make them happy. The things that allow them to get their creative juices going. To do variety shows or just chill. It doesn’t matter as long as it’s making them happy. I’m still hoping to see Tae star in another Kdrama and Jin star in his first. The biggest thing I got out of this Festa was them asking Armys to trust them. To not listen to the loud noises and what other say or spin. Just trust that they are not disbanding but only putting a pause on group activities so they can do the things they have been wanting to do for years and prepare for their enlightenments. Now look…Jin is back and has hit the ground running. Hobi will be back next month. Then next year all the members will be back and we will get a world tour! It’s good they took a break. It’s good to have separation because it gives you time to reflect and energize. You start to appreciate the things you were starting to resent. Even RM sounds different. He is ready to get back to it. As Jin said he would be the last one to put out his album so let’s all look forward to it and show our support!! Yeah to chapter 2!!!

Like I said before, the problem with you guys is that you’ve put way too much attention to some of the negative feedback you’ve received, and ran with all that and decided you don’t like Army. It’s kind of frustrating. Thing is, whether we like it or not there have been people who have been with them from day one, and their hard work, loyalty and commitment have contributed to BTS being where they are today. I for one have the utmost respect for them. I’ve learned so much about BTS through them. A lot of them have started out as your RU-vid followers and have followed you all the way to Patreon. It’s kinda disheartening to hear you guys disregard them like that. I know and understand that there are some toxic elements in the fandom but we can’t focus on that and paint the entire fandom with the same brush and conclude that Army are just a bunch of toxic people. This is where I completely differ with you. A lot of Army are actually sensible and intelligent people. These guys were open, honest, and raw with their feelings at this FESTA dinner. They knew what was coming in the near future regarding their enlistment in the military but could not share that news with ARMY yet. If they really felt the company was holding them back, then they wouldn't have signed their third contract with BIG HIT (HYBE) two years early, which goes until 2030. For them to be this open about their feelings is not new to ARMY. The company has really never prevented the guys from being honest about how they feel. If so, the company would have edited the hell out of this video and many other videos. What has always endeared ARMY to BTS is the fact that they are so sincere in opening up about how they feel. HYBE is the powerhouse it is today because of BTS and ARMY. Their most recent contract with HYBE is unprecedented from what I have heard and received unanimous approval from the board od Directors. The members have share ownership in the company, with voting rights. Which means BTS has an influence on the direction of the company. 💜

Bts always think about armys first coz they know coming from a small broke label it wasn't possible without army and their labels knows too. Before bts no one could even think about this kind of success expect the big three labels which have all the media power and control over broadcasting in South Korea. Even bts didn't know this would happen and army didn't either. We just worked hard for each other. I really miss these guys. Everything that they showed us in the Festa was the “raw” them . Real Armys would know to fill in the blanks or would understand what they are trying to say . The unspoken Military enlistment is just pissing me off. How they went through all the criticism of them getting called “cowards” for trying to get exemption from it. Hounding Jin to enlist since he was 25! Nothing what BTS has done to the SK economy , In October 2022, 34.3% of South Korean people opposed the idea of exempting BTS from military service, while 60.9% favored it. According to a report by Fortune magazine, between 2014 and 2023, BTS would have contributed $29.1 trillion to the South Korean economy! I completely agree with you about the army. I've been an army since 2014 and for the last 5 years I've just been disgusted to call myself an army, although I adore BTS. There have always been feuds in the fandom between the solo fandoms of the maknae line, but after the release of solo albums, these armies destroyed the fandom. I will never forget how recently Tae’s fans formed a group and started voting at MAMA for another group that was against Jimin.Basically the whole problem is in the shippers. I'm an Army because I'm a BIG fan of BTS but I don't feel part of the fandom... I love BTS, the members, I have my bias Jimin... I love their music as a group and as solo artists.... The fandom is huge... there are good/real Armys and there are the toxic Armys and of course BTS knows that...

You guys keep recommending things that aren't their music first. It's hard for new fans or the general public to understand this kind of video. They didn't even know 1 percent of their music and you guys expect them to understand the bond, their background, history and videos like this? What exactly do you guys expect?

I found bts in 2016 about a month after Blood Sweat Tears came out. and that was my first introduction to BTS. I knew what Kpop was but it wasn't my vibe. I thought they had crazy MV and were a little out there but then I come across BTS MV and I loved the song but it was like love at first sight, I was drawn to Jimin the most and have been since then. I then discovered Bangtantv youtube channel and I kept watching all their content and for 6 months thats all I did. my personality is a INTJ-T and it really fits me. Jimin's personality, his energy just draws me like a moth to a flame. Now I'm a bit older than these guys. I didn't know what shipping was, I didn't know what Army was I didn't participate in any social media i didn't even have twitter till late 2017(which I only had because i wanted more info i bts). I still don't care to participate in that social aspect with "army" because that's just not who I am. I don't like crowds of ppl. I don't agree with a lot of the bullshit of you have to love everyone the same. No ya don't? who made up those rules? I like what I like. I don't support all music or content just because you slap a BTS member on the cover. for example...butter....hated it. I"m not going to put it on my playlist just cause BTS singing it. I love over 200 of their songs but nobody is going to dictate what I do and do not consume and like. I appreciate each of them for their skills and talents individually but i mesh better with JImin and Jhope as a whole as humans and talent it, is what it is. I have never considered myself army. OK, so this video was before the yet to come concert and before it was announced that they were going to go join the military because for sometime the government was being really weird and they were going back-and-forth. Some people thought that they should be exempt from going into the military because of how much they’ve done for you know South Korea, and some people were against some people were in favor so they were already reaching the age that they and the time that they had limited where they needed to make a decision, they needed to go to the military so right after that yet to come concert jin joined the military and slowly they each started going so this video was more of like hey we’re gonna take a break. Each person is gonna work on the individual solo project. One of the reasons why they were working on the solo project was because slowly they were gonna be joining the military so therefore, each member can slowly put out their stuff before they go into the military and That’s exactly what ended up happening so it was more of them, knowing that they were gonna go to the military and that they were going to go away for almost 2 years, but not saying it because they didn’t want to cause panic which this video cost panic. Either way it made international newspeople thought that the group was separating

And yes, there's ARMY, there's fans and there's fanatics. In my case, I am ARMY. The one who waits for what the members said, that's it for me. I try my best to support all 7 of them. Currently waiting impatiently for Jin's album, and in the meantime, enjoying the content from Jin and Jimin and Jungkook( so far, with RM and Megan's song in between😂). But, also, I'm not standing by idly, while people and media start to attack obsessively other members for less than other people do wrong. So yeah, as I said, every society have their problematic members, just don't hate everyone because of the few.
