It's still so crazy to me that Jimin had no singing experience when joining BTS. Most of them didn't, but with his range it just amazes me.

Jimin having THAT much tone up it that register is insane. Many can hit those notes, but sing them while maintaining a clear, full tone? Few? Barely any? man can do that.

Jk's adlibs are phenomenal and V and Jimins harmonizing is god tier 💜 You'll love "Your eyes tell" but do the live version, it's similar to this one. Jimins vocals on that song are insane!

To be fair, back then Suga wasn't really vocally trained, so he kinda used a little bit of auto tune. But! In my baby defense, now he can SING a whole 2 hours concert!

I love their harmony with the string. It's such a beautifully sad piece, which reminded me of “Lie,” Jimin’s first self-composed song. (I hope you'll consider reviewing it as well.) Sometimes, I find it difficult to watch his performances of “Lie” because it's so painfully sad. And it was the same for him, as he once said, 'Lie might be a song that could kill me.’ Btw, I love your hairstyle!

Jimin has a unique voice for sure. This one was co-written by the Golden Maknae, Jung Kook. They were singing in Japanese. This was Live but was also during the pandemic, so no real audience at that time, sadly. It was probably broadcast on Japanese TV, I'm guessing.

I actually miss Jin since he is currently doing his military service. The way he sang every Japanese song is angelic. He is effortless in singing high notes. I questioned BTS capabilities before since I've been a fan of Boyband since the 90's. It feels like they are a copycat but hearing them singing live and the meaning of the lyrics on their songs turned me into a fan.

I don't actually think Suga has effect on his voice. He sometimes raps "through his nose", so I always thought that this nasal sound is just one of his common technics when he does soft rap, especially when it is closer to singing. And when I think about it, when he really sings, he sings trough his nose most of the times, with exeption when he needs more powerful sound.

Idk how many times I've watched this live performance. I think it was the 3rd time, when I finally recognized where I heard them sing the chorus, that "ooh-woo" from somewhere. It was from Lee Hyun's yt channel episode, where he was working for BTS backstage, he was jokingly conducting Jin & Jimin "vocalizing" & they were singing this part! I remember that part clearly bc of Jin's low register there. U would think it was V at 1st here, but it was Jin after all 😅 I really thought they were just randomly vocalizing there & harmonizing too but it didn't register to me it was this part lol

The vocal-heavy performances they do without dancing are some of my favorites. They can show off much more vocally than when they dance, and they don't need as much (or any) support from the track. A small note on their singing ranges - they're all (the vocalists anyway) able to hit some very very high notes. Jimin has the highest natural range, but at one point Jin actually had the highest effective singing range. He might have the broadest in terms of comfortable range... and V is a legit baritone who has sung a G5 live onstage - they sound different up there, but all of them have hit those highs. Their very different voices are fascinating. Jimin's timbre is so unusual that musicians are pretty much always fascinated by him. 😊 Which of them I personally enjoy most as a singer changes 😂

Japanese sounds beautiful. Recognise V by his tech R&B sounding vocals and his mouth is more oblong. He has a very distinctive voice.

This song for me is so profoundly sad and beautiful... I cannot listen to Jimin´s crescendo followed by Jin without weeping. One of their highest achievements. I put that next to any other Grammy-winning pop song, and realize again why it´s worth it to try to make the deepest art we can reach. I have to add, Nathan, I am very appreciative of your response. This is a personal pov, but I sometimes see reactors breaking up the song so much with little pauses and comments on minor aspects, that the cadence and full intent of the song is diffused and virtually lost. I wonder what it would be like if it were possible to play it one time through so you get the whole flow, and then repeat with analysis. It would be out of respect for the whole entity and intent of the composition. These are my musings. So glad that you gave this a chance.
