Yes. BTS´s Japanese songs are spectacular. So much respect for this amazing boys who can sing and rap (and compose) in 3 different languages. The MV is great but their live performance is spectacular. They sound even better.
Their Japanese songs are usually extremely beautiful ballads. Japanese love their ballads! But as others said, this is also a soundtrack to a specific drama. 💜
They have seven most perceptive, unique and creative people. That's why their songs are so subjective and can resonate with so many people. And they are so different yet work so well together as a team. They are just so inspiring in many ways🥰
I think this happens because not only do they all relate and believe in the LOVE MYSELF philosophy, they all care enough about each other to LISTEN . I have no idea all of the things Bang understood and knew to be true about raising decent human beings, but man, did he get it right. Esp with RM. I know they wrote this for a specific movie or story, however every song will mean different things to each person, but BTS is amazing.
This song was the OST for the Japanese movie version of a Korean drama called "Signal." If you've watched the K-drama (as I have), then you realize that it perfectly fits the storyline of that (VERY excellent) story...which does deal with loss and longing (among other things). Others will tell you it's a part of the BU, but BTS and Big Hit have never connected it to it, and the things they believe make it so also tie it just as much to the themes/story of "Signal" (I don't want to give more detail, to avoid possible spoilers of both the show and the BU). My personal belief is that at the most they used Easter eggs from the BU that fans would recognize, to quickly evoke certain thoughts/feelings in fans to help tell the story of the Japanese version of the show. The song is beautiful.
Thank you for the great explanation. I'm Japanese J-ARMY. J-ARMY watched this movie and nobody said to connect to BU. Mr. Iyori Shimizu (producer and songwriter) said after offers this job from Bighit and he read all movie scripts and he wrote lyrics. Because he must understand the story of the movie or drama first. Sorry my English is not good.
The live version you can hear the quality of each of their voices even better it's sooo beautiful worth watching ! You reached with the darkness bit😂😂 Thx for the reaction 💜
I love the way you look at how many ways their music can be interpreted and applied personally. I think that is one of the reasons their music is loved by such a diverse range of people, particularly age range. They write lyrics in which we all can find something to relate to. It’s why we as a fandom go 🤦♀️ when people write them off as a pop boyband without ever listening to them.
I love your take on this! I lost my mtoher to brain cancer on January 17th 2022 and every time I hear this song it wrecks me... the overwhelming feeling of love and loss I feel when I listen to this over powers me. I know it will get easier with time but it's still so fresh now. One day I will be able to listen to this without crying but BTS has a knack for making you think, reminisce, and putting the song to your life. I highly recommend their song Louder Than Bombs, it's a B side song with only a lyric video but it's absolutely amazing. It remains the song ARMY would love to see performed live. Thank you for the reaction!
I don't know if it is your flavor. I have a song that might give you a good cry, but it makes you feel and radiate pure love. It was written by someone who went through a very similar experience. His heart was written into this song. It makes me cry like a baby. It gives perspective. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BKmU9sIb_uw.html Nothing More God Went North
@MK5Studios it most definitely hit home.... I miss my best friend 😢 she was my mother first but she was also the strongest woman I knew! I love the lyrics to this song I showed it to my baby brother who took her passing harder than me and I'm sure that he loved it. He couldn't even get the words out but I could see it on his face. Thank you for this.
I am sorry for your loss, and I am glad that this song could help. Sorrow and loss make you appreciate the moments of joy. The imagination can never really be the same as the real thing. In this life, though, the loss of a dear loved one can make you appreciate life more. Take more chances, love more deeply, and cherish time and moments of laughter, joy, and kindness. It makes the connection and the distance feel shorter. May you find that peace. May you and your brother remember her and cherish each other.
I loved the way you interpreted this. You're exactly right, you have to have rain to appreciate the sunshine. This song gets me emotional everytime. A lot of their songs do that. Thanks for sharing your reaction. Keep up the good work❗️☮️💜
It's the beauty of good art like this when you can connect to it from so many different points of view. It makes it more universal and deeper for each person. It is really a masterful thing that they can connect that many people.
Speaking of meaning to this song… you mentioned a lot of different possibilities that this song and MV is about. Some of us think it also ties into their fictional story lines. I can’t remember if you’ve already reacted to Fake Love, but this has some similarities and connections to Fake Love. Both songs and MV does deal with a sense of “loss.” Great reaction and analysis. Thank you so much. This is my favorite Japanese song of theirs.
This song is so beautiful & means so much to me! I lost my father last year & this song has been so comforting to me. I listen to it frequently when thinking about my father. Jungkook co-wrote it with a Japanese artist. All of the members sound so beautiful on this song & JK’s ad libs & harmonies add so much to the song. You guys have to watch a live version. Also, I appreciate hearing you discuss all the different meanings the lyrics could have & appreciate that you really think about them from different views. Y’all are great reactors!!
most of bts music can be interpreted in different ways and its always relatable and that somehow we've lived. there's really something for everyone. it brings a lot of comfort to a lot of people
I'm Japanese ARMY 💜 This song is OST of Japanese movie. I love this song because the producer and songwriter is Mr. Iyori Shimizu of Japanese Rock band Back number. He made a lot of hit songs from Japanese movies and dramas. Also Jungkook is co-songwriter
💜 thank you for sharing. That's a great trivia 💜 They have a lot of content that sometimes can't keep up. Just started following them 2021. So I watch reaction videos to delve into their content bec it gets overwhelming if you are new Army..
I highly recommend BTS ROOM LIVE FESTA 2021. It's a live medley which showcases their diverse discography 💜 Check out other mvs such as Fire, Dope, Not Today, ON, Mic Drop and Blood, Sweat & Tears. Please give thumbs up ARMYs🙏
Exactly. I agree with you. When this was first released, hearing it, I was linking it with this one loss, a family member. Then on my second listen on another time, it fit perfectly to another season of me at that time. And on the third listen, for another thing that I relate it to. it’s so amazing. and that applies to most of their songs, which is impressive. which is why i am hooked. I get songs to relate to at every feeling I have at certain moments. their art are not the typical always lovey dovey or heartbreak songs always for an entire album for an artist.
Really appreciate then you guys don’t react just to react , you guys always take time to analyze and tell us you honest thoughts love it .. thank you can’t wait for the next reactions to our 7 kings 💜
Junk Kook helped a Japanese rock band i think it was write this. It's a OST for a Japanese movie. But anyways almost all BTS songs you can interpret how you want. Even the Rapper music the Cypers. RM and Suga the ones who help wrote the most said in an interview that the songs arent about anyone in particular that you can interpret them how you feel it. Suga said if the shoe fits... Like Spring Day most everyone thinks it's about the Soewl Tragedy because the MV kinda hints it. But RM said it wasn't. He said in his case when he wrote it, it was about him missing his friends since becoming famous. Anyways point is they said to interpret it how you feel it is to you.
he didn't said the spring day not for soewl tragedy..but he said when he was writing the song he kept thinking about his friend..but the song has about 4 or 5 writers not just rm..bighit producers also wrote it..the members dedicated the song to the victims of the soewl disaster and their families.
I totally agree with your insights of this MV and song, that it depends on your interpretation and how it connects with your life experiences, so common of BTS songs. Their art touches you in so many ways bec of the various genres they explore and there will always be a BTS song that hits one to the core which many Armys have shared. As I discover their music further, they have become my companion in every aspect of my life, in my personal struggles and in my highs & lows. Thank you for appreciating the depthness of BTS. 💜
Just have to say, you guys are refreshing, loved your reaction. I'm going to turn 70 in June this year, and when you made reference to the Nutty Professor saying "goin make your hair blow off". lol, I thought I don't remember Jerry Lewis saying that in the Nutty Professor. hahaha, Yea, I'm old, but still lovin life and BTS. 💜
Hi Guys :) Great reaction! I just realized again why I am so attached to them, I can find every feeling in their music. I really like your reactions. This is not only talking how great they are but also touching a lot of important subjects. I really like to spend time with you and listening to your thoughts. I am waiting for more!As Jimin said obce: You nice, Keep going 💜
exactly BTS music has depth and that is one thing you never find in kpop. solo singers maybe but not groups. when an artist does this it creates a bond between fans on a deeper level. they have helped so many armys all over the world, and that´s the beauty of BTS.
I love your thoughts of the lyrics and video. That's the amazing thing about art, it makes you think about things and any way you see it is the right one. You might even see something different later on in life. Music/art is truly great 💜 BORAHAE 💜
I like albums myself. I grew up at a time where albums were actually thoughtfully put together. So in that sense, I do enjoy that BTS are so mindful when they out their albums together. Still, it is satisfying that their songs stand alone so well. And yes, I agree with you that art means what the observer makes of it.
after listening to this song and figured out what it means i cant listen to it for more than 5 months cause i literally end up crying. I lost 5 members of family in different situation during pandemic and this song hits different for me
Right n the thing about the BU storyline is that it can be consumed and exist outside of the music it's attached to n vice versa. When they dropped the first music video that wld launch into the BU we had no idea what was going on lol. There was abstraction and symbolism but it was alot more direct in what it was portraying the video itself, but the lyrics, you could derive something completely different. At first glance the video and song seemed to be two completely different concepts but after rewatching there were parallels and it was more connected then I'd first thought. N I really appreciate that about their music. You can go down the rabbit hole of the BU and put the puzzle pieces together but you also didn't have to in order to understand or relate to the song. It's really creative m
This song came out when I first fell in the BTS rabbit hole but the pandemic and the threat of military service was being mulled over and I got emotional over finding something beautiful then having it go away so soon…but they let them put military off for a bit…but yea it could be a song about anything
BTS suga will have a solo concert in some parts of US, Singapore, Indonesia, THAILAND, Seoul Japan to be updated soon....its around April til June 2023..they posted the schedules on his weverse live....prepare for buying tickets like hunger games lol...cool and cute meow is coming to your town. Watch jhope's documentary at Disney + released today February 17th .
I concur. I've seen JHope's documentary on Disney+. It is really good to see. Yes, Suga doing a tour... We are so spoiled by BTS and their solo projects. Also their Run TV shows. Warm greetings from The Netherlands. 👍💜🍀🤘💪🇳🇱🌷🤗
All their Japanese original songs are all fire...they nailed it..check Lights Stay Gold For You official dance MV and official MV I Like It Pt.2 (this one has a different vibe) watch the live performance or dance practice video.
Multifaceted. Yes, so true, in all they do. It is probably the thing I love most about them. Their music means something, and it might mean something different to each of us. I love hearing what it means to others, getting that perspective shift, and enjoying the song deeper because of it. Hearing the wisdom gained by others through the music. Loved hearing what you had to share💜💜
The Japanese language is so beautiful in song.....the poetry is the key to your levels of meaning and I think is the essence of Oriental thought. BTS is their own genre I'm 72 years old, and grew up a Beatle fan. . As a music lover of all kinds, no group compared until BTS.
Just started watching your channel and I'm loving the genuine reactions to BTS. I'm glad you're totally getting their artistry. RM once said that their songs are their own stories but anyone can have multiple interpretations depending on their personal circumstances.
This mv is also connected to bts’ storyline that goes through their music videos and this storyline literally has books and mobile games. It’s called the BU (Bangtan Universe) and to sum it up, the oldest member, SeokJin, has to travel back in time to save the other boys from doing things that could end up ruining their lives. It’s a very dark and deep storyline that involves death, murder, mental illnesses, etc. The main point of it tho is that it’s about a group of young boys trying to figure themselves out and realising that they are always happier together
And there's five ballads more that, for me, builds a story in BTS world: Heartbeat, House of Cards, The Truth Untold, Let Go, and Your Eyes Tell. In that order please. You'll understand the story from those. 💜💜💜
I highly recommend you check the live performance of Film Out at Music Blood or CDTV. The harmonization of the vocal lines was incredibly amazing. Film Out was a soundtrack of the Japanese movie Signal.
This song is BEAUTIFUL. The translation didn't capture the word play of Japanese well. I wish it could but they use Japanese way to express feelings. They use Snowflake reference as the memories are piling up. As Japanese it's well written. This helped me go through grieving of my late grandfather and gave me encourage to find my father. This song holds very special place in my heart
Thank you for the reaction this is one of my fav songs by them it just remind me about my grandmother whom I lost it just amazing how they translate my feeling
If you like their lyrics you have to immerse yourself in the storyline!!!! And the series of short films.!!! Mirecommend with subtitles in English, I know there are! 💜
I want to know what your reaction would be if you watched the explanation of the Bangtan Universe... it's mind blowing let me tell you that. I hope you react on it too :)
