RM is really good person.. He takes his whole band together.. He knows English well and he could have shown himself better than other but whenever any member speak wrong he not only correct them but also help them understand and even translatr every thing they say really good..
I love that RM encourages all member to speak up even though its not perfect english, it seems even though he can translate it but its different if the message delivered directly by the members.
Yeah he knows what ever interviewer is asking bt instead of replying himself he is giving the chance to the members...he such a good human n a perfect leader
@@jjy135 it depends on what your first language is. Western languages have subject+verb+object sentence structure and korean is subject+object verb, one needs to get use to that way of thinking. Also korean has many vowels many languages don't (like my language, serbian, which is slavic language). So no, it's not easier Having said that; they don't have to learn english, it doesn't need them. Their songs are in korean and have namjoon to be their spokesperson :)
@@ksica True that. If English is your first language, it's not too difficult to learn. If japanese was your first language then learning korean is like buttering toast, and vice versa. Also, the sentence structure and stuff doesn't really make the language harder. It's just a way of thinking and structuring your sentence, and isn't the determining factor of learning a new language. Also, if you've ever taken time to learn the korean alphabet, you'll realize how easy it is to create words, but learning words and sentences may be the tricky part. However, in this context, BTS wouldn't have to learn definitions and structure and all that stuff. They read a script, memorize it, and sing it lol. Have a nice day, does it need saying!
@@Bubbles-bk2fc i'm pretty sure it's because it's very difficult. as smart as he is, it is challenging for him to process the english words and translate it back to korean. then, he has to process their korean words and answer it back to english for 6 other people; 7 including himself. plus, these interviews can take hours. as you can probably tell, that's very tiring! most of the time, when they have interviews in different languages, there is a translator for the members and interviewer. and if there is a translator, it definitely relieves their stress, helps namjoon and the rest of the boys out more! hope this answered your question!! :))
sarandown technically he meant 34 in non-Korean age years since he was born in 93 (although technically 35 since this interview was last year 😂) And just curious, but since they calculate age differently in Korea does that mean a 16 year old here would be allowed to drink since they’d be 1-2 years older over there??🤔
@@sunoo8112 Actually there're a lot of people who speak English as their first and only language, but keep mixing up their they're and there I don't think the og commentor meant to put anyone down, they only wanted to say how remarkable Namjoon's English is :) But it's normal to make mistakes and get mixed up between homonyms and stuff tho
Namjoon is seriously the most humble person.. like he hypes all his members and especially during the part where they asked about solo projects he remained quiet but looked at yoongi and jungkook. He never once hinted about mono release..

@@gender-fluidARMY Being bilingual doesn't make you the translator. He does that to help the members and interviewer to understand what they are saying. He is invited as a guest there, and translating is tiring so it's good or him since he has to speak the most as the spokesperson of the group

@@bnhaizmylife5532 just a few days back I became an army when I saw RM speaking English and smiling with his dimples and saw him encouraging other members too to speak up in English and translating everything for them.... I also love jimmin he's like small little gummy bear.... always smiling and he's humble too....
When Namjoon talked about having boyfriends or girlfriends, he might be meaning it in a way that he's speaking for everyone in the world. Or it could mean more literally, idk. But even if he was speaking for everyone, when the dude asked him about having a boyfriend or girlfriend, it didn't even phase them. They are really amazing people

@@mariak3881 I wouldn't phrase it as "normal" per say but it's the vast majority and it's what the bts members have been inferring and they've even talked about having girlfriends in the past so we shouldn't assume otherwise. People just don't understand cultural differences and skinship is a normal part of korean culture so by the same logic since most male and female kpop idols express skinship with each other does that mean they are gay or lgbt? No, obviously not. If we are going by statistics straight is normal and it's what people usually assume because people who make up the lgbt community are a miniscule minority in the world population. Studies even show that americans overestimate the percentage of people that identify as lbgt+ and in a culturally confucius society as korea there are obviously much less people who identify as lgbt in comparison to north america. We shouldn't have the same standards for a totally different culture as our own.

Selchi Groenie so if they are proud Koreans why have they released Japanese versions of their songs for the Japanese market? 😂 I personally don't care if they don't release any English stuff because I've liked them just as they are for years now. However you can't really use that argument because they've done songs in Japanese and look at their history with Japan lol. It would be cool to have some stuff in English not whole albums perhaps but a few singles maybe but it's not something they have to do, I'd be happy with whatever they choose to do.
I agree, especially since I wonder if they’d even be comfortable singing in English! I don’t mind looking up translations for their music at all. I hope if they get to collaborate with American musicians they only do what they’re comfortable with!

Okay I really don't like comparing artists and people in general but I find amazing the fact that they can participate in the producing/writing process of their albums, learn and practice several choreographies *and* release solo music while being veryy active on social media such as their fancafe, vlive and twitter (and releasing mini series like RUN or Bon Voyage)

You read that wrong lmao, the interviewer said “Who doesn’t love Justin Bieber”, and Rm said “No one”, implying that everyone loves Justin Bieber, also if he meant to say no one loves justin bieber the question would have went like this, “Who loves Justin Bieber”, with Rm replying with “No one”. Lmao just thought I should clear it up.

I am just looking at every single one of the boys and they are seriously breath taking. Like I am straight up! Look at their strong visuals! I'm in love with their fashion sense as well as their unfailing love that they always give to us. I just want to thank them for it in person one.
I'm not stressed out about J Hope's mixtape anymore! This interview plus his *AWESOME MUCH APPRECIATED First time ever* V app solo made realize how hard our HOPE-bae's been working on it! Sir Hoseok wants it to be good so he's not rushing the album I mean, the world is looking at BTS and ready to critique everything they do so no rushy rushy. I'm at least one ARMY that is fine with waiting for Gold. I'm so chill, our HOPE needs ample room to breathe so he can make the best damn mixtape ever produced! When it drops then, THEN I'll lose my shitue but, untill that day, IMA RELAX and wait for I.T!
YES! I loved hearing him talk about it by himself. I can tell it's really a labor of love so we shouldn't be rushing him and adding pressure. No matter what I'm sure anything he makes is going to be amazing! and having to wait for it makes it all the more precious. lol I kind of hope he drops it un-announced like Yoongi. Agust D dropping out of the blue was one of the greatest things I have ever received! I became a fan during/after "Fire" era so it was almost like my first comback...or just release of an MV and Suga was already firmly my bias so it was Christmas on crack to me. JHope is my strongest bias wrecker so I kinda want it to happen like that again

when the interviewer said "you look just like your fans" when they all screamed. Like yes! that's it! They're hyper and loud so of course their fans are hyper and loud too! That's what they should answer when asked why their fans are so crazy passionate. that's also why we don't seem weird to them and we don't feel weird or awkward being extra to them because we know they like and appreciate when we show love by being loud. also, a side note: Suga didn't scream with them XD he just gave a big smile and hid his face a bit. you know the smile that shows he's super embarassed but also shows how he just really loves these 6 crazy idiots he's in a band with

This is by far my favorite interview right now because of how Denny is like actually interested in them and how he ask them about the album which NONE of the other interviews have. Which frustrates me so much because the other interviews are like 'who is your celebrity crush?' and cliche questions that bts have already answered. Also the fact that he didn't mention about 'are you gonna do an english?' like the interview with Ryan BRINGS ME LITERAL JOY TO MY HEART and how he asked about their love yourself album also gives me joy because LITERALLY NO OTHER INTERVIEW HAS ASKED THEM THIS AND HE IS RECOGNIZING OUT BABY BOIS TALENT. Sure they're was some questions that kinda made me ugh but this is by far the best interview out their for them, kudos to you Denny *EDIT* OKAY I'M KINDA GONNA RETRACT MY STATEMENT I JUST SAW ZACH SANGS INTERVIEW IM IN LOVE
You should watch the interview they did with Zach Sang! Tbh I felt he did a much better than both Denny and Ryan cause he actually talked working with UNICEF and more. :)
I honestly don’t want them to make an English album. Not only does that defeat the purpose of K-pop but I really like hearing their music in Korean, expanding my linguistic boundaries as well.

Stop demanding English albums from artists when it’s not their first language. Several things get lost in translation and not to mention it puts immense pressure on the artist to write something meaningful and true in a language they can’t fully express themselves in.
Arvind Mahto I find that irritating too. RM always changes the subject so he doesn’t hurt feelings or something. There are so many translations on YT or learn the language yeesh! If you aren’t gonna b a fan because of the language barrier then move on.
If this is what you think, then ask BTS to STOP using english words in ALL their song. As you said "they can't fully express themselves" I don't know what is the big deal or why you all fans gets offended with this question. If they ask this is because they have heard how BTS inclued a lot of english in their songs. SImple like that.
Luna Dormida. Although I see why people new to kpop would ask this question, it's strange to me that people expect foreigners to sing in their language when it's not really what they're known for. I can understand it can be a bit confusing because RM is fluent enough that he's able to mix languages easily and still express himself fully, but not all the members can do it to the same extent. But even the eng ver Mic Drop, the group's most english-speaking song, isn't completely in english. Other than RM's part and the chorus, the rest is in korean. The chorus consists of popular words/phrases that don't have a deeper meaning, so it's easier to sing. Plus, I've notice that for english songs, from people who don't speak the language, tend to be pretty shallow or weird because the artist can't really express themselves in that language or the lyrics are written by someone other than the group so the singers can't really convey the subtle nuances well. And the new lyrics often don't match well with the original music in a language remix. So why should we ask for subpar songs in our language, when we're able to get the real gems in theirs? Maybe if the whole group becomes fluent in english or drop more english songs, a question for an english album would make more sense. But for now, I prefer to listen to the language they're most comfortable with because that's where the real art of their music is going to be.
Luna Dormida. We get annoyed because the boys have already made it clear they have no intentions to create an English version album, yet people keep asking as if they'll get a different answer. It's getting to the point where it feels less like curiosity and more like pressure to conform.

Celine Hsr RM tweeted out "Same Love" and mentioned that he didn’t know that the song "Same Love" by Macklemore ft Ryan Lewis was about same sex love, and since then he’s been using both boy friend and girlfriend, I think to show he is accepting of same sex relationships, or he could also be gay who knows.
