I hope now, you realize why this fandom is so protective and aggressive when it comes to hate/disrespect We aren't called ARMY for no reason. We protect BTS and support them in any way we can. That's our job. BTS returns the favor by protecting and supporting us as well. Whether it be interviewers that call us crazy fangirls or any ARMY that goes through a rough time, the boys try their hardest to protect us. Boybands are known for having fans that protect them to no end. However, BTS is the only band who actively works to protect us back. We work hand in hand, like a family. BTS=ARMY.

Well said, I completely agree! To people from the outside, it may seem like army is super aggressive, negative, and toxic, but that’s only like 15% of the fandom, maybe even 10%. Most of the fandom is normal and positive and welcoming. As long as someone respects the boys, we respect them. We give people the same treatment they give the boys.

And on top of that, there's not just a relationship between BTS and ARMY, but also between Armies themselves. I see it all the time on the Weverse app. People posting saying their having a rough time, and maybe BTS doesn't see all of them because so many comments are sent every minute, but I'll see other Armies responding back with encouraging words or relevant BTS lyrics to be a comfort. It a true community, the likes of which I have never seen. Somehow, BTS makes us feel closer to them and also closer to each other at the same time, even though many of us will never meet. And we don't need to to know that we are loved. That's the power BTS holds and it's a beautiful thing. Borahae fellow ARMY!! 💜💜💜

RM mentioned ARMY in his very first United Nations speech. BTS always mention ARMY in every winning speech. And they create so many songs (even their love songs) are for/inspired from ARMY. - V telling ARMY about his grandma at a koncert was at least partially because they had expressed concerns online about him looking depressed and tired lately and they were really worried about him. So he wanted to assure them that he was basically ok but greaving. 💔 - The accusations about misogynistic lyrics largely hang on cover snippets of two american rap songs RM released online outside of BTS and the song War of Hormone. The snippets contain slang that doesn't translate well to say the least. War of Hormone is basically an honest look into a teenage boys mind which I'm not sure people understood. Add to that a rather conservative society and you have a powder keg.

I am a 67 year old Army who discovered these wonderful boys in 2015. I have never in all my years seen the level of hate against a musical artist until I got into them. Social media makes it too easy to spew this type of hate, and I find it really sad. It serves no purpose, and it makes me wonder what goes on in a persons life that makes them so hateful. There is a lighter video called Karma is an Army that kinda talks about hateful comments, but shows how Army comes through for them. You might enjoy watching that. The song that was mentioned to have lyrics against women is called "War of Hormone" which is actually one of my favorited songs by them. The lyrics are actually pretty tame, and compared to what's spewed in todays lyrics I don't understand the problem. Death threats are on another level. Someone who would stoop that low needs some serious help. That is beyond mental. I just try to ignore all the negative things I hear and just try to focus on BTS themselves, because at the end of the day, they are what matters. They are 7 of the most talented peopled I have ever had the pleasure of discovering. I really hope you continue on this journey. It will be one of the most enjoyable adventures of your life, I promise.

I’m the same! I’m 51 and was never into boy bands especially. When BTS dropped their debut MV I was at a friend’s house just catching up on the latest groups to come out. I did cringe a little, I can’t lie. But I could see what they were trying to convey, and the song was so catchy. The DANCING really made me do a double-take, because there was something more to it than the other Kpop groups I’d been enjoying. Time went by, more songs came out, and eventually they put out their No More Dream dance practice. “Dance practice?? They’re sharing their DANCE PRACTICE?!? Where’s the popcorn, girl press play, nobody does this.” (But now they do. *ahem* say it with me now-BTS paved the way. 😄) I’m a dance fanatic and it was all over but the shouting at that point. And I’ve never looked back. These guys are just amazing. 💜

Why the death threats? In my 4 years as an army who listens a lot different music genres, Ive seen that the hate in western countries comes often because of prejudice. Bts looks seem to scare certain toxic masculine people, they often wear feminine jewlary and mix female and male clotheslines, they allways look pristine and georgeous, they are happy and positive and amazing dancers, sometimes very sensual, flirty dancers also. And this all is scary to some people whose idea of men is different, whose idea of music is different, who think pop music cant be real music and are angry that this bubblegum, manufactured boyband has gotten this much fame and glory and in their minds its because people dont understand what real music and art is. What I love about Bts is the thing that they break so many barriers, they make pop music that has a message, they break gender style boundaries, redefine masculinity, show that you can be goofy and adorable and still serious, when its about music that you make. Kpop fandoms then, thats a totally another issues, Ive never seen that kind of anti action in my 40 year life before got to know Bts. In kpop, there is so many toxic fans whose main purpose is to bash other bands. And sometimes if people come to your videos saying bad things to you, you cant even be sure if they are armys or if they are antis, who come to Bts videos wanting to make the army look bad. Im telling you, Ive never seen this kind of thing, so weird. But I am loving your videos, thank you for making these! 💜

To give a little context on V talking about his grandmothers death: this was during one of their concerts and he did it to address some comments from fans asking if he was ok perhaps because he has been looking kinda down for a while. He was really broken by her death because he was on their world the tour when she died and he was not able to come back home immediately for it. He also said that it was his dream to give a shout out to his grandma while in one of the tv shows but never got to because they only got the opportunity when they won more which was more than a month after her death. He said he believed that his grandma was now their guardian Angel that watches over them. And if you just knew how significant this is… he has always believed in angels and to this day we see him call upon angels for luck and protection when playing games in their variety shows 💜 such a sweet sweet boy

To be honest, no one ever give me comfort as much as BTS musics/contents and ARMY as a fandom. Ofc toxicity is everywhere even in the fandom sometimes, but good sides always reside. I never thought being in a fandom can give you this much happiness, inspiration, motivation, emotions, connection, the list go on. Knowing bts just makes u want to be better each day, to be happy everyday, to be wise, to be good human, good people. I thought being in a fandom isnt forever, but dare i say i wanted to be in this family forever. Some say liking artists is temporary, they wont be there forever, they dont even know you. True, but BTS is different, they make you feel belonged and known, that BTS & ARMY are in this together forever. They showed our unity through music, through the lyrics, what they said in Livestream, the way they show gratitude, they make songs that said "our connection is destiny, if there is no you there is no me". BTS have changed the industry by their authenticity, they changed the idea that connection through online is temporary, they bring meanings to this connection and relationship of BTS & ARMY. Im so proud of them and I want to be here forever. Even when Im older, when maybe im a bit wiser and a bit more mature, I just wanted to be here as Army who appreciate BTS's arts and music, who appreciate their existence as human who live everyday trying to be better. As long as BTS will be here to give us their voices and art, i will be here to appreciate them for as long as i can.

Like all groups for all different kinds of rights. You have good and bad, leaders and sheep in all. It just is sad to me that this song was picked on so badly. It is an honest interpretation of the raging hormones of young men AND women from teens through early twenties. It does take a war with your hormones to remain up right

It's not just BTS, but they are one of they biggest targets of all this sort of hate. Nothing like anti-s trending about how teenage boys (and older) are 'too fat and ugly' or using homophobic/transphobic slurs to start TRENDING worldwide. It's disgusting. Artists have ended their own lives for this sort of stuff before and yet people laugh about it like it's all funny. It's terrible. Taehyung's grandmother was the one that made me the most angry. @imatikatu4322
@imatikatu4322 3 года назад
About the hate let me explain it to you, Back in the days from years 2013-2016 most of the hate they got was mainly from "FANWARS" ( Self explicable, this is because Kpop has a hundred of groups and each has a fanbase but these small fanbases got jealous of what BTS is receiving so its been a part of their lives to drag BTS down), And when BTS started promoting in the west they got so much popular than before making them the first ever kpop boy group to chart in the BBMAS and has reached the highest place as a kpop group back in 2017, but some western media couldnt accept this kpop thing and some has degraded the industry and mainly was the targeted kpop group BTS since they were the biggest at that time. But who cares about those hate we just going to keep on grinding. BTS, MIC DROP - "Another trophy, My hands carry em. Too many i cant even count em" just a cool line from them XD

This video break my heart each time. Specially beacuse they were so young when they made their début ! Jungkook the youngest have only 15 years old (he became a trainee under Big Hit Entertainement at 13 ! ), and Jin the oldest was just 20. Facing so much hate, mistreatments, and disrespect is hard for an adult, but it's realy destructive for a adolescent. ,RM and also Jimin were victims of death threads . Fortunatly, they have each other as a brotherhood, they have Big Hit and the staff to help, caring and cheering, and they have ARMY in their back. They are now beautiful adults, with beautiful minds , positive value, and great ethic. I'm so proud of them ! They are not only great artists, but role models, and inspirational human being. But they still face hate and prejudice now, from antis, and from some western médias, radios, and organisations...

Also note that they were so different from other bands that were debuting and playing on the radio in korea. They built a huge international audience almost first before Koreans accepted them. Main reason is because their song lyrics we're going against society and social norms. In that culture they were going against people with serious power to maintain their art and craft and to say what they needed to say.

Might be worth mentioning Big Hit/HYBE, BTS label started a no tolerance towards hate, harassment towards BTS and such and have a legal team constantly working on this that one can report these things to and they have a no leniency and no settlement policy and have taken quite many to court over their online activities towards BTS. (Just wanted to add that so you know BTS isnt alone they have good support by their label and ofc ARMY). What this didnt cover is how the media talks to and about them the updated version of this is better (Media would never speak to and about a western artist like they do BTS...). As for best overview of the members i really like Ida S “An introduction to the 7 members of BTS (2021 update)” its the most updated and its not biased (there is another popular one out there that many watch but its quite outdated).

Just to add to my other I forgot to mention. What I loved about BTS is their humbleness, their love for ARMY (they always thank ARMY and give ARMY credit for where they are now and that is something I have never seen from another artist before) and also how genuine they are. You can see it in their performances, their interactions with others, and when I started watching their shows (Run BTS, Bon Voyage, and BTS in the Soop) they just give off positivity and their love for each other. All of these things and of course their amazing talent is what made me become ARMY.💜

Please consider reacting to Who Is BTS by Suga and spice, it's old, but it helped be a lot when I was trying to learn to tell them apart. There are also many other good Videos on this, but I think I have seen new reactors understand the best with this one.

I really appreciate your approach to getting to know BTS! It means a lot to see you really appreciating and caring about understanding them. I think it’s a good choice to look a video that focuses on each member! After that, I strongly suggest asking for recommendations for a video of them being silly/funny/loving with each other. When I first heard their music and saw them perform, I was impressed. But the reason I dove deeper and really became an ARMY, was because of the honesty and authenticity that shines through their non-music content. They have a tv style show plus multiple season of travel vlog/reality show, their own livestreams, plus many episodes backstage and little clips on their RU-vid channel (bangtantv). There are hundreds of hours of content. What I love is that as they got more and more famous, they never lost their playfulness and real ness and silliness. They are so honest with their fans. And it’s also so nice to see them challenging some of the toxic masculinity standards. They aren’t afraid to show emotion (as you saw with V in this video) or show each other affection. They are such incredible role models.

Only found you today but you've got a new sub from me. I am loving your reactions to our sweet guys. Thank you for showing them the respect they have earned, I wish more people did the same. Army are genuinely lovely people as a whole however you may find as you delve deeper that there is a small but very vocal element that are not quite as nice. They tend to be labelled "toxic Army" by the fandom because they can be overly aggressive with their views and actions. We have a lot of in jokes and as you learn you'll hear some of them. I'll drop you one now. In the immortal words of our Jimin "You nice, keep going" lol

the song that they were accused of being misogynistic on was "War of Hormones" which is literally a song that tries to depict a teenager's angst/first love of women. BTS specifically stated that they were incredibly precise with their word choice in order to make the satire more pointed. The lyric people got mad about was "women are like equations that men solve." They said it was objectifying women, but as someone who listens to rap daily I really have to laugh.....like it makes complete sense in the context of the song and the hate felt more of like a pointed attack rather than genuine worry or critisism

Yeah exactly. Their facial expressions in the MV are exaggerated/funny and show that the song is kind of joking on them. I'd consider myself feminist and don't think their early songs were that enlightened about attitudes towards women, but I don't see any offense in WOH. The chorus lyrics "girl, tell me what you want right now" is actually 100% positive in my books!

Just wanted to say, I am enjoying your reactions and loving your channel. Also, there is an updated version of their hardships on xCeleste's channel and it explains the ones you just watched more deeply and talks about the newer hardships they had to face, including in the western media. I feel like by watching that you will understand more why ARMY can be overprotective when it comes to the boys. I know it may be upsetting but I feel like it will give a better understanding as to why these guys are needed in this world. They may not realize it themselves because they are so humble but these guys are truly leading world-peace in their own little way (or at least that is what i believe)

V addressed his grandmother's death at the concert because ARMYs had noticed a change in his behavior and were concerned. He had been getting questions via Weverse and other social media so he thought it was time to let people know why he hadn't been himself. The source of most of the coordinated attacks was the fandom of the group considered as number one at the time. Their fandom felt threatened. Until Big Hit, fan clubs started by K-Pop labels chose the club "Presidents" and directed their activities through them. So this was probably an attempt by the group's label to block BTS. The three biggest labels in Korea had tremendous power at that time.

Thank you for your sincere interest in BTS! As you will be watching more background information, you might want to know that Koreans count age differently. So, when the members themselves talk about their age, you should keep that in mind. You need to deduct 1-2 years because Koreans are consideed 1 year old when they get born and automatically turn a year older each January, no matter when their birthday is (in December, for example). So, for example, Jungkook was 17 in Korean age when he debuted with BTS, but in international age he was only 15.

The clip with V talking about his grandmother... he began by explaining that fans kept asking/telling him that he looked sad so he wanted to explain to the fans why he seemed sad lately. It’s so easy to be mean to people that are receiving credit for their hard work, and I personally believe that those people are really jealous over BTS success. Even when they pretend to be cool and tough they are just small and envy guys. I hope that BTS with all the support from Army’s around the world, now can see the haters as very immature people who have a lot of personal growing left to do. But it’s not easy to handle death threats, so I’m glad that Big Hit finally took legal actions against all form of bullying and threats. Still a lot of damaged was made to BTS, they work really hard and everything they do is coming from their hearts and their lives. I understand that they were heartbroken. I hope that they, with a little distance, can see that envying people are always to be found around great people. It’s not something that BTS have done wrong. More likely it’s something that they have done very good. You know that Army and Big Hit have your back, so you can keep on making miracles with your music and generosity❣️🤗

i want to mention something they've said this june during the 8th anniversary celebration. the theme of the talk was "2!3!" which is a 2016 song for the fans with a really sweet and comforting message (which was also playing in the end of the video). “2, 3” is what bts say before introducing themselves, and this phrase is also used for hypnotherapy. the song is about finding comfort in each other while using pain, suffering and sadness in ourselves as a motivation to live through these hardships so the qoute (i combined words from a few members as they were discussing it all together) "Let's have some time to think about its meaning once again. We had been through a hard time, but army... got hurt too. We were supposed to shield all the repression, but army were enduring it with us. Through this song, I feel like it became a secret code for army and us. I feel like we can talk about this now and here what I think. For those three years, 2015, 2016, 2017, it was tough for us and our fans and there were many people who hated us. army were trying so hard to protect us and we tried harder than anyone else [to prove themselves] while making content and doing other things. When I look back at those three years they mean a lot to me. It was such a good song that comforted us. We'll sing it on stage [again] with army someday. When we sing 2!3! you can see army fans at the front line and they all cry" (from [2021 FESTA] BTS (방탄소년단) ‘아미 만물상점’ #2021BTSFESTA) i just think it shows the connection we have and that we try to take care of each other the way we can. bts and army are a family if you are interested in the song, i really recommend to watch this particular performance, when army made a surprise project for bts concert to turn all lights at the stadium purple (before that lightsticks were only white, and that's actually how purple became bts' color, but that's another story) it's very touching. bts's speeches have subs there. search it as "2! 3! (2016 Purple ocean project by Army and BTS reaction to it) @ 3rd Muster in Seoul 161113" sadly there's no lyric subs in this video, so you can refer to the Doolsetbangtan website for a good translation (we will gladly watch lyric analysis too) or at least use lyric videos on yt from the channels like af taehyung, kpop vine or zaty farhani, who has decent translations and line distribution i also really hope you'll watch an updated version of 'bts hardships' as it covers more indepth thank you~

What I dislike about this video is how it brushes past a lot of their history very quickly without contextualizing any of it. Stuff like the threats aimed at RM in the Red Bullet concert, the boys being accused of misogyny, honestly most of the stuff that's brought up here, they're all very big issues that should be talked about carefully. "They were accused", "they received", "they were told", etc, removes any sort of agency from BTS themselves, which not only removes the weight of some discussions, like the misogyny one which BTS themselves have admitted there was some basis to, but it also puts the boys in a very passive, powerless position which in my opinion takes a lot away from how much their own actions and effort pushed them forward. They didn't just lie there and take everything that was thrown at them, like the phrasing and tone of this video suggests; they were active throughout their whole history to get to where they are. It's both a bit too idealized because it removes any sort of wrongdoing they might have in their lives and it's also unflattering because it makes them into puppet figures in their own story, *and* it doesn't give nearly enough context or backstory to properly explain any of the "hardships" the whole video is based around in the first place. So I don't really like this video, I don't think it's an accurate portrayal of the boys and their story and I think it leans a bit too far into the "underdog p*rn" side of army media.

I have to say that I so appreciate you going about BTS this way. To me, they are amazing musicians, but they are also so much more than that. I truly believe that they have the power to change the world for the better. I have become so much more open-minded about life since becoming a fan 4 years ago. I've never seen so much genuine support for an artist before, and I've also never seen so much absolute hate for them either. There really isn't any good reason to dislike them, in my opinion. I'm not saying that everyone has to enjoy or like their music, but their core values are 100% something that should be respected by everyone. What angers me the most about Antis hating on V when he talked about his grandmother's passing is He SAID IT ON MUSTER CONCERT. A Muster concert is an event for BTS & ARMY to celebrate together. He didnt confess it in social media, He confess it in a concert where it was solely a celebration of BTS & ARMY only. Which means his target audience was ARMY who already got their support for them... not audience in general....Like why would ANTIS felt like he wants to tell the whole world about his grief. AND STILL... it was rude and inhumane of them to accuse V to use someone dearly to him as attention LIKE some people are lacking in empathy and it shows.

This wasnt even the 2021 update, im afraid even though theyve 'made it' internationally now, theres still more hate seemingly around every corner Recently one moment stand out where a german radio host was... VERY nasty about them covering coldplays 'Fix you'. He said they should take a vacation in North Korea, using the same phrasing as nazis used too. There were also times when invited to shows, because they could get away with it because they had a small company they werent given dressing rooms, and had to practice and prepare for the stage in front of the toilets, where there fellow performers could see them being actively excluded from the usual common courtesy.

I think we're plenty cynical, we just for the most part know what to be cynical about. We know how the industry work and are frustrated when some of the corporations are basically actively trying to shut us down and when we call them out we get ridiculed and told that we don't understand anything. Most of the industry is still very keen on pretending BTS fans are a small group of fanatic children who just have a lot of accounts (yes, it's ridiculous, but we hear it all the time). When people are being racist towards BTS and we call it out we get told that we just don't understand humor and that we're just rabid fangirls. We constantly get used for views by shows like the Grammys, but in return BTS get the bare minimum and we get laughed at for expecting them to be treated equally to US artists. It's a constant battle and because of that, we have a reputation of being crazy obsessed fangirls who will attack anyone and everyone who dares to say they don't like BTS' music. Yes, of course, as any fandom, we have some bad apples and toxic people in out mids and we do try to protect people who get attacked by them for no reason, but that also means we're kinda fighting two battles at the same time. And then, obviously, people use the few unreasonable fans against us when we call out an actual serious issue. For example a certain German radio host who compared BTS to covid and said he thinks they should be sent to North Korea for covering Coldplay. We called him out, he issued a statement about how it was a joke and we're overreacting and the media coverage of it for the most part was that we attacked him for saying he didn't like BTS (which granted, he did say, but that was absolutely not the issue we had with his statement). Because that's another thing. I don't think I've ever seen the media covering a fanbase of a band as much as they're covering us. We can barely joke about something without it being reported somewhere. So we are under this scrutiny for things that were never really an issue before. Like the fact that we're buying BTS' music is apparently now called chart manipulation 😂. Media count each BTS' stream and sale and doubt whether or not it's legitimate, just because BTS are #1 in Billboard HOT 100. Meanwhile, western artists will pay for playlists and what not to climb up the charts, but no one bats an eye about that. And when BTS pull an audience of 1,3 million people for a paid online concert, it's crickets. Because they want to perpetuate the narrative that it's really just a few crazy fans - we're just loud and there's not that many of us after all. And BTS are not blind to this either. They are very aware of almost everything that is written or said or done against them as well as what is written said or done against their fans. They are aware we are trying to shield them and protect them from it and they show high respect for us every chance they get. For example (it happens a lot less because interviewers got the memo now, but it happened quite a bit in the past), BTS would get questions about their "crazy fan experience" in interviews, because everyone expected them to talk about these rabid fangirls. Instead, BTS talked about how the fans protected them from being mobbed at the airport. Recently, RM said we are a lot more level-headed than BTS themselves (he knows what happens on Twitter though and I find it hard to believe 😂). They have nothing but kind words and high praise and gratitude for us and are actively fighting against the picture of us that media are trying to paint. I think that's another level of BTS/ARMY relationship that is very difficult to understand from the outside. I myself didn't really believe it until I got in myself, because it was almost impossible for me to imagine that a group that has so many fans could actually be more in touch with their fans than most other artists I've seen (and I've been in quite a few fandoms in my life). Sorry for the essay 😂. And also for being kinda negative in it. I just wanted you to know that we definitely don't take things lying down and if you saw nothing but positivity, then I think it speaks more about you communicating misconceptions without malice and also that people recognized you're a good person and you just didn't have all the facts. Thank you and have a great day. I'm going to look forward to your next reaction 💜

You kept asking WHY the hate. The reason is the kpop industry is controlled by the big 3 companies - SM, JYP, YG & the bands that come under them. These 3 enjoy their dominance & wanted to keep it that way. Nobody from any other company can ever hope to achieve success. BTS with ARMY not only overcame the obstacles but smashed the glass ceiling. BTS is the first group from a non big 3 company to win a Grand Prize in a major award show. Even they were shocked. The big 3 & fans under them were trying their best to bring BTS down with slander campaigns & other dirty tactics. In 2018 award shows BTS has grown sufficiently big but the last performance slot (most prestigious) was still given to another band instead of BTS. BTS ignored the disrespect and continued to roll and in 2019 these labels boycotted the award shows because it became evident that BTS will win everything, which they did. They won all the Grand Prizes for all the key award shows, a feat they repeated for 2020. Meanwhile, BigHit/Hybe has grown bigger than the big 3 and other agencies put together. That's how you kill haters. With success. Fandom wars are awful & it still happen today. For example 15 fandoms could be ganging up to vote against BTS to make BTS lose. When BTS was voted for BBMAs, Korean antis were voting for Justin Bieber instead of one of their own. ARMY will always fight back & in all key intances we win. BTS has won the BBMA social artist award 5 years in a row. Antis will discredit every BTS success. Another good background video you should watch is KARMA is an ARMY. It shows instances where every jeer or condemnation received by BTS was turned into success.

This is only a breakdown of past hardships. They continually face it right to this day BUT both BTS & ARMY have gotten strong together that we could climb every mountain on another mountain. BTW the BigHit empire (now called HYBE) is built singularly on BTS success. BigHit only had BTS. They only debuted TXT in 2019 and that was after BTS had struck it big and then they started expanding by buying other Korean labels. BigHit name is kept for the creative label managing BTS. And there's only the 2 bands BTS and TXT in it. 2 months ago HYBE bought Braun Scooter's Ithaca Holding for 1+ Bil USD. This means that HYBE now own artists like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. Anyway about the streaming thing - streaming wasnt a big thing back then. Spotify is only available in Korea this year.

22:10 Korea got hundreds of kpop group. So when there’s a certain group (in this case BTS) that could upscale their favourite “group” popularity, they took the chance to sabotage them.

Just subscribed to your channel. I really hope you enjoy your journey into the BTS rabbit hole together with ARMY. I hope you feel welcomed by us :) PLEASE READ: A tip I want to give you and really hope you take this to heart is to please abstain from watching color coded lyric videos for their korean songs that do not have music videos! There is a really great wordpress blog site called "Doolset Lyrics" that has excellent translations (kr to eng) and provides informative context to some of the culturally rich lyrics and references. Plus additional information if it needs to have more info for non korean speakers. Lyric videos only get maybe 60% of lyrics translated correctly plus an additional 20% or so of it's translations is for causing misunderstandings and creating misleading ideas about the song in the consumer.

Tae mentions his Grandmother to reassure Army’s that he was ok, just grieving as anyone would do (people had raised concerns about him looking down or depressed). His tears are genuine, and it took enormous courage for such a young man to talk about a very personal and painful event, in front of thousands - he could not help but cry, he adored his Grandma - and he was still just 20 years old here (it’s November 2016, and he would turn 21 on December 30th). He is completely heartbroken, and would not know how to use this to gain sympathy!! The people who say such things should be ashamed.

There is another updated one - BTS Hardships 2013 - 2021. They were always outsiders in the Kpop industry and still are. The fandoms of other groups on one side and Armys on the other. If you think it is a Kpop thing, it is not. The Fans of another solo singer once a member of boyband insulted the group for days because Butter was in the list for votes to win so it could be played at Wembley at the Euro football championship.

Oh I wish it was just limited to the hardships in this video. There has been so much more and it's still going on every single day. In the past few years, ever since they've become too big to ignore in the western market, the attacks have been increasingly racist and vicious. There's a reason ARMY is overprotective at times, we're just very tired at this point.

BTS was getting hate in Korea before they got big. Fandoms for other groups were feeling threatened that these guys could really top their favorites. But it also wasn't just from the fandoms, the other record labels also had pull with the media. But now that BTS are one of they biggest artists in the world they really are the pride of South Korea, even to citizens who don't even listen to kpop. BTS are now and have been dealing with the blind hatred from western audiences, people deliberately making comments "I thought they were girls" "they must be lip syncing."... It's at a point right now where their chart success is "diminishing the importance of the charts". These guys really can't catch a break anywhere they go, but the beautiful thing is that none of it has ever stopped them. They are reaching higher than any of their dreams could have imagined, and they do it the fans follow them because of their sincerity. ARMY and BTS really have a symbiotic relationship of taking care of eachother and working hard for eachother. It's a wonderful thing to be a part of.

'An introduction to the 7 members of BTS (2021 update)' is one of the better videos I have seen when you are ready to learn a bit more about each member and how they joined the group :) Nice video!

Fans of other groups want their groups to win. (very childish mention it seems) so they attack the group they think is better.

I like war of hormone quite a lot tbh. Neverthought of it being misogynistic, hummmm 🤔 Edit : Their antis are not just antis, some of them are seriously low lifes, deep loathers with I am assuming some sort of mental situation or stuff.
