Guys, the dance practice where they are dressed in Snow White and the 7 dwarves is for their GoGo song. It’s one of their Halloween themed dance practices hahahaha It’s very funny, you should watch it 😂 The Baepsae dance practice is also chaotic and you get to see Yoongi twerking 😂😂😂😂

There is also some funny things that David (from DKDK TV) didn't address. People were telling off RM for using funny filters during his lives with fans, so here we have Joonie with lots of filters 🤭 Next Taehyung was criticised that he looks bad in glasses, so here we have V wearing glasses in almost all the scenes 🤣 Yoongi is too pale and doesn't look healthy, so here we have SUGA in a Snow White jumper 😜 This is also first MV with so much CGI, they never used it before (in a visible way) but in this mv they go crazy, obviously on purpose. YES I love this about BTS, how they use EVERYTHING to add to the art, so it’s so full, like so dense and complex with a lot of meanings, factors, medias, channels, etc 💜

The colorful craziness of the MV was a lean-in clapback to all the news media at the time, who kept reiterating Kpop stereotypes, attempting to relegate them to an iteration of a robotic industry. They were also being criticized in Korea for becoming too WESTERN as their fanbase was largely outside of Korea at the time... hence all the Korean references. I was astonished how it seemed like BTS had the capacity to respond in real time to all the narratives the western AND Korean media were trying to pigeonhole them with.

You guys should totally check out the halloween GoGo dance practice (the clip where they were dancing un the snow white and dwarfs costumes) 😂

I love this reaction! The language comparison that you mentioned at the end is incorrect, but it's something that's learned overtime. Korean is an honorfic language which requires "different" forms of language based on year of birth/age. For example, you wouldnt address your friends of different ages the same (as you would do in the West), rather you would refer/speak to them in different forms of language if they were older/younger than you. This is one of the major reasons why Korean is on the list of modern difficult languages to learn.

One classic example is thou/thee vs. you. Outside of Shakespeare, Bible readings and Amish country, few people use the former anymore, but they used to denote the difference between informal & formal speech. Forms of address are also a great way to chart how certain types of embedded hierarchy have been flattened in daily use. e.g. Use of terms like: sir, madam, Mistress, Master, Goodwife - how many people use Mr. & Mrs. without knowing what they abbreviate?

One thing to know about societies in the East and West. It isn't as crazy for BTS in Korea when they just want to go out. I mean people have taken far away pictures but usually they aren't approached like a celebrity in the US would be. In the East, it's sorta unwritten that you kinda "ignore" a star when you see them. So every once in a while a person or a server will acknowledge them as the celebrities they are but usually they don't encroach into their space.....except at airports which is maddening.
