Pat you were right it was JK at the beginning and Dionysus and Jamais vu are my two faves on this album. I thought their 2018 MMA couldn't be topped along came 2019 and the showcase culminating in this Dionysus performance then there was 2020 and Black swan performance, On, Life goes on and an extra special Dynamite!!
Please promise to watch the MMA 2019 performance, which includes Dionysus....you will NOT regret it, ever!!!! The entire performance is just incredible! It is called Map of the Soul: The Show and it IS required viewing, I must say. I adore hearing Jin and Jungkook together. Jaeguchi is usually the worst translations etc as you noticed they prioritize getting the first lyric video up. They are adequate but for better credit on who is singing and lyrics I like the channels AfTaehyung and Dial6136 vids. Jamais Vu is a French loanword meaning "never seen", is the phenomenon of experiencing a situation that one recognizes in some fashion, but that nonetheless seems novel and unfamiliar like the experience of being unfamiliar with a person or situation that is actually very familiar. In looking up Jamais Vu, I saw a third one, presque vu. It's, basically, what we mean by "it's on the tip of my tongue". The sensation of being on the brink of an epiphany. Lol! That led me to listening to Epiphany.
Thank you for always with the Jin love. Hes one of my favourite singers of all time ever. His belts get me everytime and I've been super missing him lately. Every time I hear 'Jamais Vu' I cry like a bitch. Jin's voice feels like a strong brushstroke thrown onto a painting and JK's voice is as smooth as crystal. A great union for you. And Hobi made the music more intense. 💜😭

Jin’s vocal rang is crazy, I remember Jimin saying once that Jin can go higher pitch or range than him if he really wanted to and can go lower than Tae & Joon so we are looking at 14-16 octave range which is around the same as Whitney Houston, Freddie Mercury or Mariah Carey

Jamais Vu is when you're doing something that you've done 1,000 times but it suddenly feels strange and unfamiliar. Jamais Vu is the opposite. It is having experienced something many times but it still feels like the first time every time. In this song they are referring to the pain of depression. They should be used to it by now, but the depression hurts as bad as it did the first time. Dionysus, pronounced Die-oh-nigh-sus (in English, the original Greek pronunciation might be different) is the Greek god of Wine and art. BTS compares the feeling of creating art and music to the feeling of being drunk. This is word play because in Korean the word for alcohol is 술 sool and the word for art is 예술 yeh sool or 마술 mah sool.

This was so fun to watch. I literally laughed out loud when you said Dionysus was "low key epic" during the lyric video. You had no idea just how right you were! This is the dance practice for the 2019 MMA performance, and has, in no way, prepared you for what's to come. The full performance is about 38 minutes, and is incredible. You haven't seen it yet, but you NEED to now.

There's something about Jin's voice. I love to hear his voice with eyes closed. It goes through your feelings. But, sometimes when singing live he just to shy to use it to the max. Like, he doesn't want to overpower other members voice..

Jamais vu we prononce it like JA = like JAmaica MAIS = like the season MAY but softer I know french prononciation can be hard 😂 As a French speaker sometime I'm still struggling this is a beautiful language but very difficult to learn 🤯
You are so much fun to watch videos with. Dance practice for Dionysus is great as you can see so much of the individual movements that you tend to miss in the performance. And I have always loved Jamais Vu (hint: mais is pronounced as may with no s at the end). Have a great evening!!
Just a suggestion try to avoid jaeguchi channel because not only do they show the wrong member when another is member is singing but also some of the lyrics are wrong.

You were right about the voices not matching the pics in the jamais vu lyric video. Alot of these lyric videos are poorly done particularly jaeguchi and lemoring.

i can't tell you how fun it was to watch your reaction to the dance practice (you for sure chose the right one!!) ... i have one other bts reactor who i watch faithfully but they only do official mvs which to me is only like 1/4 of the picture. pat you freaking get it; there is so so much meaty content in the b-sides, and in the dance practices...it's really where you see bts at their finest b/c you see all the hardwork and dedication that goes into that kind of perfection, and dance practices feature it uninterrupted...you're the best!!!
