I've come across a few FF and imagine where jealousy, downright emotional manipulation and dysfunctional, harmful relationships are romanticized, normalized and sometimes written off as true, passionate love and a sign that someone worships you so much they want you all to themselves. I understand it's just fiction, but fierce overprotectiveness, irrational jealousy and trust issues are not cute personality traits irl - they can be important red flags. A little bit of jealousy is harmless, like in Jimin's case in this fic, but a partner does not have the right to control who your friends are regardless of their gender; guilt trip you as a means of getting what they want, or try to change you by dictating what you wear, how you act, et cetera. You can't own a person.
