Smeraldo is an old Italian story about a recluse man whose only joy is his garden. He meets a poor woman who was stealing his flowers to sell them to make money. He fell in love with her but she died I think before he had the chance to reveal his feelings to her). This is the story of the song, The Truth Untold. So Jimin's song is a nod back to The Truth Untold. It's also clearly a nod to Sergant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles. And of course, the song is also a nod to ARMY!! 😊
I love how everything you said about the song mirrors my thoughts exactly. I also needed a few listens to appreciate it fully, and now, after hearing it about 20 times, I absolutely love it. Each time, I fall more in love with his personality as he just genuinely expresses himself in the video. The song has deeper layers beyond its playful vibes, referencing Smeraldo, The Truth Untold, their first performance on June 12th, the bulletproof sign, and the use of sign language to express love. I can totally see the 'Namjoon vibe,' and when the 'minimoni' video titled 'Album Exchange' was released, it made me feel like we might get an album from Jimin soon. Who knows, we might even get another video related to the 'Album Exchange' and 'minimoni' concept.
