To be honest, it's just a real thing about Jin. Because the more you notice him, you understand the meaning behind his actions and you fall for him more and more and eventually end up becoming like him because that's his effect on you. I used to have a real difficult time looking into the mirror at a particular time of my life and I'd hear Jin calling himself handsome so it became a habit to praise myself when I genuinely feel like I am pretty.
