There is not an abusive relationship side to them. The members did not decide that concept or how that MV was. They hated it. In the videos you're watching now, the members had no say in anything. The rappers wrote their own lyrics to fit those songs, and that's it. And even then, those lyrics had to be approved and had to fit the concept. What you're seeing now has nothing to do with the actual members of BTS. They have only been fully involved with their recent stuff (the stuff you liked enough that led you to do this). If you actually care to know the other sides of BTS, and not what you think you know from these old MVs, listen to their most recent albums (The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Part 1 & 2). Your misconception of them and unwillingness to even let us explain to you what happened is pissing me off, and I'm not even an "ARMY."
You really can't get to know a music group just through the singles they film music videos for. BTS' discography is ridic diverse as they were trying to find their sound, which wasn't exactly inauthentic considering how involved members are in the songwriting and production. Their lyrics and non-title tracks are crucial to understanding who they are, which is why most reactors--even the ones who like them--don't really understand them. I'm not a KPop expert but I don't think they're typical KPop, which is why they're so popular globally.
And their last two mini-albums are some of the most musically diverse albums I've ever heard. They can do anything. If they put out a country song, I wouldn't blink an eye.
omg agrees with u completely there are many masterpieces hidden behind the theme songs which represent the true bts and there real a selves and talents but I must say "in the mood for love "pt 1 and pt2 are epic albums that need to be known are recognised among the world like RIGHT NOW!!!!
+Alexa Planje That's true, and to be honest, back in the day, their title songs were more to appeal the korean idustry and audience as hardcore rap wasn't welcomed and most of their lyrics were either banned or frowned up on There are also songs that are more emotional so they can't be promoted (masterpieces but ""slow"" for a title song) What I'm especially proud of is how they finally found their sound through their last 2 mini albums I really wish they will react to the real songs that make out BTS (like tomorrow, spinebreaker, the cyphers ect ect and tbh all the songs in the most beautiful moment in life albums haha)
I think it would' be better if you listen to their songs that aren't made into MVs like Tomorrow, Let Me Know, Cypher pt. 1,2 and 3 and more. You can watch the live version of Let Me Know and Tomorrow and the lyric videos for the cyphers.
as some others have said, i really think you would be able to appreciate their non-mv releases. songs like spinebreaker', 'tomorrow', 'rain' and 'baepsae' have nice lyrics.
+REChronic54 yeah thats true. the bigger reactors tend not to react to non-mv songs. but i still hope they'll consider at least listening to those songs (i heard they reacted to the cyphers).
BTS is really diverse in their music, and I think this is really clear in their non-title tracks. The promotion singles are usually a lot more shaped to fit the market, and less what BTS wants to say (hence the flip floppy "romantic" themes). The title songs are great, but the other tracks in the album have some of their best lyrical content and variety of music styles. You guys should check out Tomorrow, Spinebreaker, Jump, Rain, Moving On, Ma City, Autumn Leaves, and Silver Spoon (뱁새). And of course, CYPHERS. If you listen to parts 1, 2, and 3 in order, you can really see their growth as artists.
But honestly i think you guys would like the BTS songs that have great motivational lyrics which some of the dont have MVs like Let me Know, Tomorrow, Bapsae (you will love this one im sure), Spinebreaker
People don't even realize that their first three singles were motivational. Dope is an inspirational song if you really look at the lyrics as well but most people will never know that.
i did look at the lyrics of course i know... I have listened and have all BTS songs in my phone and have all their albums too so i know all of these and have seen the lyrics too... but they have already watched and reacted to those songs (no more dream, We are Bulletproof, N.O, Dope) so i was just requesting some songs that don't have MVs
Alexa Planje exactly i agree with you... Honestly if people took the time to look at tge lyrics and listen to their other songs like we did then im sure that they would be able to appreciate their artistry more and possibly understand why it is that we are so passionate about them and their music... It dosent hurt also that they have amazing and distinctive personalities each and every one of them and are so hilarious too.
+Nesrin this is precisely why I love bts. I only got into kpop a few months ago and I don't regret becoming an army because not only is their music good and inspirational but their personalities are so unique and awesome as well.
You really need to see their songs that aren't in MVs of BTS' they provide so much more in depth qualities that BTS has to offer and is why Armies really love them!! You need to see their live performance of Tomorrow with eng subs!!! The song's meaning is incredibly deep and a lot of people can relate to the topic Tomorrow touches upon
You have to appreciate their ability to take on any concept and own it. One person might not like every concept they do, but I think the ability to be diverse is impressive. I agree with some of the other comments that say you should listen to some of their non-title tracks like Tomorrow and Move with english subs if you really want to appreciate their deeper side.
I cringed so hard at the "abusive relationship" comment. Bc that's not at all what they were going for. In Boy in Luv, they were basically putting the saying "if he's mean to you, it means he likes you" into a song. They were young boys who don't know how to act properly when they see a girl they like. ^^
3 years is sooo long.... I remember the day I first heard it, I was in school and it was a shitty day and this instantly made me and my friends (even non kpop friends really happy) ... sigh love this song.♡
+Mugande M dude same!! I remember when it first came out so well!! I was going through a lot of stuff but this made me the happiest I had been in a while😊❤️
This was the song that made me a bts fan :) I never realized that I have been an ARMY for 3 years now. But I've been a Shawol for 6 years so after this bts marathon, could you watch SHINee's 1000 Years mv along with some SHINee live performances? :)
It's really interesting seeing bts's maturation and musical evolution over the years. I feel like for a little while they were still experimenting and finding their sound, but once i need u came out they had found what suited them perfectly and are making really good music that works for them.
I wonder how many bts MV's we didn't get. So we have the for debut things (Jin-Suga-Rapmon) & (Kookie, Jimin, V, Jhope), No more Dream, N.O, bulletproof, (somewhere in between there was the one with the girl), Boy in Luv, Just one Day, Danger, War of Hormone, I need U, Dope, Butterfly (prologue), (never mind), Run + like concept trailers and such. (maybe do the japanese versions while you're at it xD. the MV's are different from the Korean) mmmm. Let's keep on watching the bts marathon. ^^
I'm loving your reactions to BTS so much!!! It's nice to see how open minded you are about their different styled music videos while they were trying to find their 'sound'. I really hope you watch bts live versions of Let Me Know(which Suga wrote) and Cypher part 3 because they are awesome and havn't been made into music videos!!
I love every side of BTS....but well I guess haruman is more targeting girls ^^Anyway if you want to see more of them alsocheck out BTS vines I guess some of them aren't that funny if you don't know much of them but so you can witness their awesome personalitys AND also check out J-hope dancing because THAT'S REALLY IMPRESSIV. believe me :) and also thanks for your reactions they always make me smile :)
Classic Bangtan Bombs are so much better for introducing newbies to BTS than the vines in my opinion. The latter are way too quick and full of inside jokes.
I love this side of bts cause it shows the softer side of them lol its the third song of theirs I listen to and this is where I fell in love with yoongi's rap and hoseok's dance -the part where he moved to the clocks ticking sounds- and yes, polar opposite of boys in luv but its a good one! alsoooo Josh i think you missed a song called graduation! check out the mv please?
You really can't get a good feel for BTS by just watching these videos. Their whole albums have concepts like many kpop artists and also other international artists (just maybe not as pronounced in the international scene). Yes, they are often told to write lyrics that fit within these themes. I'm pretty sure they found this song incredibly cheesy, but it is a nice sounding song. Also, it really isn't an abusive relationship in Boy in Luv. The whole concept of that was basically how emotionally constipated young boys can be when it comes to love! The whole, little girl: "Mommy, why did that boy shove me?" Mom: "Sweetie, it's because he likes you." RKJdsfkja;dlfig;adklgkdfjgj It happens in a bajillion movies!!!!!!!!
The dance practice for this song was hilarious, V couldn't keep a straight face because Rapmon, J-Hope and Jungkook had been teasing him before they filmed and then kept doing things in the video to make him lose it. There are a lot of very obvious cuts.
I feel like this is closer to their actual personalities than any other of their MVs (except maybe War of Hormone). If you really want to know what they are like as people watch War of Hormone Dance Practice Real War Version
Lol RapMon actually does quite a lot of aegyo for fans at fanmeets and signings but you'd be surprised despite his rapping and touch guy vibe he is such a fashion blogger haha.
Josh, Akbar, Rob, I have a request! Once you're done watching ALL BTS related MV. Watch some of their BangtanBombs to see how they really are in real life. They are the total opposite of what they are like on stage. It'll open your eyes more on what BTS really is. They are NOT your typical KPOP group with manners and Idol etiquette.
BTS has many more sides. Enjoy the ride ;) Here's a LONG list of BTS songs arranged by category. I'll try not to include the songs you've already reacted to in this marathon. 1. Their releases with the most meaningful messages (in my opinion) are: Born Singer (Their own rendition of J.Cole's Born Sinner) Tomorrow Path Move Spine Breaker Can you please turn off your cellphone? Nevermind So 4 more Wake up The Stars N.O. School of tears 2. Their best diss songs with good lyrics too: We on Dope Hiphop lover (the kind of song to go running to) Cypher 1 Cypher 2 Cypher 3 3. Their most fun/hyped songs: Attack on BTS Jump Intro: School Luv Affair War on Hormone Dope Fun Boys Satoori Rap Ma City Try Hard 4. Their aegyo songs: 2nd Grade If I ruled the world I like it (part 1 and part 2) Coffee (Their own rendition of Urban Zapaka's Caffe Latte) Look here Blanket kick Miss Right Converse High For you/propose 24/4 Heaven Where did you come from 5. Their emotional/romantic and/or sexy songs: Fallen Leaves Does that make sense? Hold me tight Rain House of cards Trouble Run Let me know Butterfly Whalien 52 Love is not over 6. Their badass/intense songs: What am I to you (pay attention to the transition in emotion. must watch with lyrics) Danger Almost all the listed songs don't have music videos but do listen to them with the lyrics if you can! They're good songs!
Guess what guys... i just realised that the clues for the I Need U-Run story were given even in this video.. The butterfly. Jin letting go of those butterflies.. WOW I'M DUMB
Please see MV of: Busker Busker- Cherry blossom ending J Rabbit - Happy birthday to you J Rabbit - Happy things The Black Skirt - Hollywood ending there are K-Indie ... I think you will like it :)
But the one thing they will always be is weird af. Have you seen their TV show? It called rookie kings. It's an hour long episode of them being weird af. Plus they also have these things called bangtan bombs which are short clips of them backstage and stuff. You should watch them if your interested in seeing more of bts in their natural state XD
Now when it comes t BTS u should totally see V's cover of Someone like you by Adele and Bangtan bomb elevator ep cause I laughed so hard to that, and JHope's part was just hilarious. And pls do a recation for No Love - Lucky J, Noona You - Cross Gene (Casper killed it in those 5 sec lol) and ofc HATE - 4MINUTE (AND LIKE WHOLE ACT.7 ALBUM CAUSE IT'S FREAKING AMAZING!)
I love ur vids sooo much wowww.i was just wondering if you could PLEASE PLEASe do Nu'est 'Overcome'. the vocals r sent down from heaven and theyre from pledis (orange caramel and seventeen) the song is soooooooo good i just cant fit everything here. i hope you do a video on it and if u do, i hope u like it as much as i did :)
BTS even had pre-debute videos that you guys shall check out which are graduation song and my favourite " tears of school"( examines the struggle of school life in korea including bullying, pressure from parents etc)
I think that just reacting to singles won't show you all the colors of BTS. I'm not saying you should like film it but maybe on your own type listen to their discography, that way you could see how BTS really are.
Hello! I'm from Taiwan : ) Please do the reactions of Jolin Tsai's songs~ 1."The Great Artist": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bWx-vtCSg0w.html 2."PLAY" : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c86t8hoVw8E.html 3."I'm Not Yours" : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C7wRb9adQUc.html [Feat. NAMIE AMURO] Thank you guys !! :)
This MV is MY FAVORITE!!!!!!! And it is really different from there normal stuff they put out but they do have a lot of softer sweet song ^_^ BTS does have many side but that's because they would change over time and try new things👍 so you can see their progression throughout the years😊

The school trilogy actually weirds me out because all the best songs were non-title ( Tomorrow, Spinebreaker, Jump, the Cyphers, for example). It's unfortunate because based on what they choose as title songs, it seems like all they do is love songs. If they could just do more mv's with songs like "Dope" that would be, well, DOPE. 😁
I would just like point out that this song isn't all completely "lovey dovey cute" like you guys said. Specifically, if you pay attention to Rap Monster's part, you notice that his rap refers to how he gave up the girl he loves in order to follow his dreams, but now he misses her. He says "I'm sorry" and wonders if she resents him for his choice, and he admits he selfishly hopes she's still the same. I think it's quite sad. I also think it adds something very distinctly "BTS" to this song. Sure, it obviously has a cute theme, but there's that bittersweet undertone as well. I would even argue that this song offers a lot of complexity, especially since BTS's usual message is to "follow your dream no matter what and you'll succeed," yet this song actually mentions something about how that might mean giving up the people you love, which can turn out to be rather regretful. Just something interesting to think about. I definitely think about it way to much :)
bts are really diverse they have from head banging turn up songs like bapsae to soft lonely songs like rain and whalien 52.. and most of the lyrics are written by them and suga composes alot of their songs too.. the last two albums ALL of the members worked on it either producing or lyric wise. they are a very talented and diverse group please look apon them positivly :)
They literally were cringing the whole time when they were filming this MV they were saying everywhere everytime " THATS NOT LIKE ME.." "I CANT DO THIS HAHAHAH" and laughing the whole time😂😂😂
