Yoongi has same last name with the last queen of the emperor of korea and that's it. There are more than 170,000 people with the surname MIN(of Yeoheung) in korea. She is one of the ancestor of yoongi's family but it doesn't mean he is royalty. Actually in korea there is no royalty anymore. It has gone 100 years ago.

Well, not so common. V and Jin’s ancestors are quite a powerful family in chosen dynasty. Their ancestors used to be a teacher of kings. (one of their ancestors was a prince) In sugar’s case, he is a descendant of the last queen of chosen. At that time, even the royal family in Korea, if they can’t pass the government exam, couldn’t keep their royal status. Their ancestors-few the royal family-passed the challenging exam to hold their power for 500 years. That’s why bts members are proud of their ancestors. Haha my mom's ancestors are the same as jin😊

I am so sorry y’all but this isn’t an uncommon thing in Korea, there were multiple clans and many people have “royal blood”. Though it is a cool thing to say, the descendants have no royal status because it’s been like 100 years since that stuff mattered.This is in no way a hate comment but I just think that we are blowing this out of proportion.
