Great work Jason. I really like your style. I love how that OCF makes the subject pop. I guess you know, but I'll mention it anyway :) If you want more effect from your atmosphere spray you need to light it separately with a second flash.
Man Jason you are a photography ganster. lol I have to have help multi-tasking. You are running BTS (with audio), taking the images, moving your stand (through water) and just spraying some atmospheric smoke all at the same time. Like it isn't any problem. Great job and keep them coming! And congrats on your 10 K .
So 320 isn’t really high at all. I could have increased the power on the light, but that wouldn’t get the look I wanted. By increasing my ISO. It gave me the ambient exposure I wanted while allowing me to keep my flash power where it was at.
Funny.. I see no effect whatsoever of the atmosphere spray.... because you didn't backlight it, I guess. However, even without "smoke" you created awesome photos. And I tip my hat for both model and photographer for their perseverance in that chilly water! Godox products rock, by the way. Excellent work... thanks!
@@frankdecock2735 yeah I agree. It was something I wanted to try and now I don’t need to try it anymore. Thanks for watching and leaving a great comment!
@@J.Allen_Photography Hi Jason, couldn't resist. I'm subscribed to Gavin Hoey's channel and it is something he mentions every time he uses smoke: you need to backlight it or you won't notice it. When done properly, it can create a nice effect. But one light won't suffice so everything gets a wee bit more complicated. But hey, I took just one Godox speedlight and relied on E-TTLII this weekend to get some shots of my new-born grandson and hey, it worked like a charm :). Great stuff, Godox equipment! Anyway, I've subscribed to your channel as well so do keep these nice photos and photo ideas coming!
