this is a video essay about the racism that bts faced and their courage to speak up about it to support the AAPI community.
i made this video through the long hours of editing done by myself on adobe premiere pro. the narrations were written by me and narrated using balabolka text-to-speech voice over to add comedic value. this video is also transformative in nature, heavily edited with sound effects, background musics, video effects and transitions, reaction memes, visual text and audio commentaries, written and moving subtitles, and more. all were selected and arranged carefully by myself based on the topic, thus creating a distinctive alternation of the original clips. all falling under "fair use" by adding significant comedic and entertaining value.

The saddest thing is racism has been around for centuries! And finally people are actually talking about it! And as victims of racism it is much much more harder for BTS to talk about it Yet they spoke up! But these people are Gaslighting the VICTIMS! IT'S DISGUSTING! What that man did, was really wrong on all levels. Now I hear 2 others people were attacked, by 2 black men. I don't really know if this has actually happened, because the news was coming from my boyfriend. He tends to exaggerate. So at the bottom line is all this mess needs to stop I don't care what color they are, they just need to stop beating up on the Asian people because they don't deserve this, no one deserves this.

I hate some ARMYs response in the Twitter replies though... like they were like "what about my community?.. this and that" and as an Asian, I agree that there are other communities that suffer, but you don't go on their post where they talk about their own struggles and make it about yourself? They are lessening their messages and some don't even see anti-Asian racism as something and it's just sad to see. Acknowledge their experience, listen and take action. This isn't a transactional type of kindness or humanity we are asking for here.

i’m literally so disappointed with the people in the comments of the tweet i keep on seeing people trying to change the subject and generalising the fact that Asians hate Black people. ASIANS WERE THE MOST SUPPORTIVE RACE TOWARDS THE BLM MOVEMENT APART FROM THE BLACK COMMUNITY. BTS FUCKING DONATED 1M AND INFLUENCED ARMYS TO DONATE, also about the language thing my dad who was a skater in the 1970s went to many countries including Thailand, South Korea, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, China, Taiwan, Japan, The Philippines and he said that everyone there knew English he didn’t need to learn any languages since English was spoken but he did learn Thai and Hindi since he spent most of his years there. Asians don’t deserve the hate my brother who’s Asian doesn’t deserve to be mocked for his e-folds, my people don’t deserve the hate. I stand against the hate towards Asians.

I´m a Latina woman who lives in Brazil and i learned English all by myself, i never travel out my country so i´ve never faced discrimination directly towards me. But i see though the internet how Latinos are treated, how Brazilians are seen by white people and the things that fucking colonizers says to us, how our culture is mocked, how Latinas are hyper sexualized and this really hurts. I am literally shaking this is exactly what happened during the black Lives Matter movement as well while it was "trendy" people posted about it but the moment the heat died down they when back to what they were doing before (I am not talking about everyone there were certain people who did this) now because bts has talked about it these people act like they care about the matter. I don't even know how hard it must be for Asians living outside of Asia to face stuff like this on a daily basis. Racism is not comedy or dark humour, we are not people who get offended over just anything as people like to say there are people who fear public settings just because of the fear of judgement. Racism is something that has destroyed the lives of many and if anyone still continues to excuse racism as a "joke" they are fucking disgusting. i remember when COVID broke out and my school being largely populated by multi cultured students, there was a lot of 'jokes' being made about Asians being the cause of it, specifically since my friendship group basically is Asians and little white girl me. also, why do they feel the need to know why we listen to korean music? so what? it's my choice and it isnt affecting you in any way. besides, as a person who is a mixed race of Brazilian and Dutch, English is not my first language and i, surprise, listen to English songs. why arent you questioning why am i listening to a song for a language that i just come to learn over four years time? i hate racism so much against Asians and black people so much because the way they look is obviously different whereas myself, who many people mistake me for Australian, they dont give a single thought because i am white? but then also deny the fact that i am not from a english speaking country. why is it if you are born in a country that speaks english makes you a high class world citizen? are we in the 21st centaury or what? anyways, i hope army is okay and continue staying healthy. stream butter guys!!

From wut i've heard, America doesnt have an official language of their own so they only use English which is the universal language. I am an Indian and I am literally scared to tell this. Like if I am playing a game and they ask “where you from?” I just say “Asia” because I don’t know what they think about our country. Many of them make fun of our ability to speak English properly. Schools are English medium so that no one can harass us by the way we speak English. We are trying to learn it. If we start making fun of how you pronounce the names of our people, then how would you feel? Girls in our country wear so much makeup to make themselves look white (except for the ones who naturally have that skin tone) because they are scared of what the others will do to them. I respect Asians a lot. They are amazing people. They have changed my life (by BTS and Anime). I appreciate them. But I don’t know how they think of us so... I do trust them

When I was younger English was very hard for me , but then I realized that if you can't speak English , people will make fun of you so I tried my best to learn it and I was only 7
