"Spring day" is timeless, this song will live on forever. Even 50 years later people will still listen to this song. I find it such a sweet song. Not everybody knows that this song was a tribute to the many lives lost in the sinking of a ferry (Sewol) in 2014. It is a very sweet song that talks about this.
This song was dedicated to them by victims of the seoul ferry, which killed more than 100 students, since the captain of the ship told the students to stay where they were, they rescued the captain from some teachers and students, but unfortunately the others drowned, it is a very delicate subject, hopefully they are resting in peace🥺❤️ that's why at the end you can see the shoes hanging on the tree, which are typical school shoes😭

About the mountain of clothes, there are many meanings. As many people have said, the song is a tribute to the Sewol Ferry Accident (2014), where many school students died on a field trip, due to the captain telling them to stay put and then fleeing. The lyrics are basically from the point of a survivor who is waiting for a time (Spring) when they can be free from the guilt and pain of missing their friends who died instead of them. The mountain of clothes represents the people who have left the world, but their belongings still remain. Many of the clothes and belongings of the students who died have been recovered and returned to parents, who then started a project where they photographed the empty bedrooms of the students who passed away. The clothes can also represent a soul being taken by God. You can see how BTS in sitting in the pile of clothes among the clouds. Overall the incident was truly a tragedy. Students called their parents and filmed videos saying goodbye, and if the captain had told them to escape themselves, many of them would still be alive. However this was not the case, and when a case was filed it was later dismissed. The case was later reopened and the captain was sent to a lifetime sentence in Prison. I deeply wish my sympathies for all victims of the Sewol Ferry Incident, and may you all rest in peace 😔. PS: I love your videos! Please do more boy group reactions 💜!

This song is about the an incident that happened in Seoul a few years back and many things in the mv represented the young people that passed away in the incident, so it’s a very touching song to many people. We also see it as how when it’s winter it’s very cold and ofc you could associate it with struggles in life and battles we have to get through to succeed or be happy, so basically it’s like bts’ struggles before success hit them. Spring Day is longing for that spring day to arrive, longing for happiness and the struggles to pass just like waiting for the cold winter to end. according to a video where the music video was explained, the mountain pile of clothes represents the victims in the sewol ferry. they might get the inspiration from an artist named Christian Boltanski where he held an installation of a 40 foot tall mountain pile of clothing, which symbolically carrying the souls of those who inhabited in higher place.

I went away to make coffee because it is still the same night, well sun is coming up so next morning soon, and I come back to the video, you saying the song makes you hairs stand on end for some unknown reason and tears flood my eyes and my throat is strangling from sobs that are coming.. One day, news came to Seoul, the capital, that there was a large ferry overturned in the ocean with people on board and most of them were high school students. so they all died in that accident BTS got the news, too, and they grieved over everyone who was inside the ship, and what saddened them most was that they were an ARMY.RM , came out after thinking about what happened. He sat in the garden and fell on his hands, the tree leaf that was under him because the separation was autumn, and From here he wrote the song ... It was a memory of the event and sympathy for the families and people who miss these victims, and also for their condolences for themselves because their fans and their second family have left I hope you understood the story, even though I abbreviated it :)
Idk if you realized but J-Hope doesn’t have a solo part in the song, but he’s doing backing vocals during the chorus and other parts. But he gets more solo parts in live performances for this song.
I love this song!! I hope he listens to other songs excluding the MVs since basically, all BTS songs are bops. Also, I can't wait for him to watch the explanation behind the BTS Storyline, and the individual MVs themselves. The MV gets even better once you realize how intricate and thought out every MV is.
