Hi Guys, wonderful reaction as always. I have a little suggestion if you don’t mind & if you have time (of course). For vocal heavy songs such as this (most of their Japanese songs are vocal heavy), for those with MVs please also react to live performances so you can see who did what where & they really sound better live (in my opinion). The high notes at the end of the bridge leading into the last chorus was Jimin, the high adlibs on the last chorus were Jimin & then JK and the harmonies at the end were also Jimin & JK. Their Japanese songs do have a special place in my heart. All 7 of them shine in every OT7 song, however the vocal line go especially BONKERS in their Japanese songs. Borahae 💜💜💜💜

"Stay gold, Ponyboy" is from the novel, The Outsiders, written by S.E. Hinton when she was 16 years old, and published two years later in 1967. It was later made into a 1983 movie staring C Thomas Howell (Ponyboy), Ralph Macchio (Johnny who said the line), Matt Dillon, Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, and Tom Cruise. The phrase, Stay gold comes from a Robert Frost poem titled, "Nothing Gold Can Stay" that Ponyboy and Johnny read.

V and jk voice blend so good together I love them I hope we get their subunit in future, they are adorable,😊 but in the end no one can disagree that Jin is really the king of Japanese song dude he is even the king of other songs too tae and Jin again sounds so heavenly, jimn voice melts so good in ears❤️

Stay gold is a very touching song. BTS released it at a hard time for us and for them (due to covid 19). So we are really grateful to them for releasing an uplifting song like this because the fandom really needed that message during the dark times. One thing I would suggest is that you guys please include live versions to the songs when you’re reacting to them. You were trying to guess the harmonies when you could’ve just gone and watched the live version to see for yourselves who did them. I’ve noticed this happens time and time again and it’s so frustrating because most of the time you guys guess it wrong BECAUSE you only watch the mv’s, in which we don’t see who sings what in the song all the time. 😢

Oh God, I'm so so glad you guys liked this song. It's so pretty and each part was beautifully sung and rapped. Stay Gold is literally the song that saved my life. I couldn't begin to describe how much it means to me and the slump that it's pulled me from. Whenever I spoke to my therapist she'd always find me doodling and she kept every sticky note that I doodled on and by the end of the year she showed me each one and pointed out that I was always writing the title of this song and the lyrics on each paper and I honestly never realized I was really doing it until she pointed it out, Stay Gold is engraved in me now

It’ll forever fascinate me the huge power V taehyung has a voice and everything he can truly create with his vocals. V voice is THE GENRE! And Jungkook and the high notes really killed it jin too good and all members 💯👑💜💜

Stay Gold, Ponyboy! One of my all time favorite movies and books The Outsiders. The movie has so many young superstars in it. Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, Ralph Macchio, Rob Lowe, Matt Dillon, Emilio Estavez and C. Thomas Howell. My 7th grade English class had to read the book and we had like a month of lessons on it, which was great for me and my best friend because we had already been obsessed with it on our own. I still have the Stay Gold poem by Robert Frost memorized from it. Bringing back sooo many memories!

They show you that, even in the darkest of times, there is the bright glow of hope for a better tomorrow. 💜 And, once again, they show that their Japanese songs are absolute Magic.💜

The sets were insane especially that last one. The staff put so much time and artistry into making the last set absolutely beautiful. Really fitring for the song .😊

The Outsiders is a coming-of-age movie that most of my peers and myself watched in high school. It has alot of young up and coming actors in it... Tom Cruise, Ralph Maccio, Patrick Swayze and many, many others. Now back to BTS.

The movie Abigail is talking about is the Outsiders. From the 80s (1983). Great movie about the Greasers (poor kids) vs the Socials (rich kids). The line from the movie is “Stay gold, Ponyboy, stay gold” Johnny (the boy who died) was reminding his friend Ponyboy to stay true to himself, stay innocent, stay out of the gangs, etc.

“Stay Gold” is a quote from a 1967 book called The Outsiders later made into a film in 1983. The quote refers to a Robert Frost poem Nothing Gold Can Stay. I’m 49 and this book was required reading back in the 80’s/90’s. The poem has inspired a lot of music/popular culture since it was written in the 1920’s.
