It's giving set up and a cover-up stories for all the scandals that are coming up this week. Like Suga got PTSD from SCOTTERS/MOTOR BIKES, yet he is riding one!?! He made a whole song about how he hates them because of his shoulder injury but now he happen to trip riding one and a police was right there to help him. Nah it's sounding like nonsense that someone made him do this as a threat. Like the investigator of the president wife was found unalived the same day this story drops. This whole situation don't sound right and in my soul I feel like this is too fishy to be a real story...But maybe that's wishful thinking, it's just not adding up. Regardless Suga is taking accountability, didn't hide this situations from his fans, has paid his fine, and his license has been revoked for two years. Nobody was hurt and no property was damaged; let's give him some grace💜
I will dig my heels in the deepest trench and support our favorite cat, our empathetic, compassionate and caring Min Yoongi!!!! I stand by you!!! Armys will stand by you!!!!
Okay, yes, Army saw Yoongi's message to us on Weverse and his most heart felt apology of embarrassment and dishonor to his Army. Don't dig it in. Please, respect people just as Yoongi humbly gave us respect. Y'all don't get it. BTS conduct themselves truthfully as who they are. Because of that great love that they have for us, we should follow their examples and conduct ourselves like they do or even try to make them proud of us and be even better. Thank you🫰🫶💜
Look this is Korea As an idol, you can't drink, date, fart, without it being a scandal. Everything is a big deal. Because we are westernized, to us at least, it's not a big deal. I feel for Suga. He knows this will start drama. It has to be stressful. ✌✌💖💖
@@felixfors9340 I don't know who that is. I'm speaking from personal experience... I think Justin Timberlake was arrested for DUI very recently, though. His publicist has been trying to keep it quiet, but a criminal record is hard to hide from the public eye.
He is a celebrity and somebody decided to cash on his mistake. When you have enemies and haters around you, you watch your back. Suga would have called a friend or his manager to pick him up. The people he drank with if there were, would have taken him home. Korea is not America. Koreans will mob, crucify and bully him online. Hope he's strong to ignore that
Ya it's kinda sus.. like what Sean said, it's kinda weird bcos as he described the place is a neighborhood where the other BTS members live and that police patrol is rare and somehow found him? How fast the news spread too.. Cops are allowed to spread this info?
@@katalinfarkas9725 that’s not true. DUI is very taboo in Korea. No matter who did it, they would be breathalyzed and either receive a fine or go to jail.
Korea seems wild at times & this is the most ridiculous thing for people to freak out about. I’m not excusing or condoning operating machinery under the influence, but the hype over this situation it’s laughable. ITS A SCOOTER!
Justin Timberlake gets a DUI in a car and blames the cop. His celebrity friends defend him. Suga wasn't even driving a car, accepts responsibility, and people are after him. This is ridiculous.
He’s going to get multiple awards and yes he will succeed beyond words. Literally, what I thought he will do. He’s probably working on it as we speak. Army staying by his side and strongly supporting him no matter what 💜
A DUI is not good, but I can't believe how Kpop fans turn this into a murder scene. You over due everything the kpop singers and Korean actors do. You will destroy someone's career and life over nothing. He is a human being for goodness sake!!! If this becomes a continuing problem, then I can understand. I'm sure he regrets his actions.
Suga made only one mistake: he fell on the ground and not into my arms. Min Yoongi is very much loved. International Army doesn’t give a rat’s ass about something so ridiculous. 💜
Army is behind Yoongi and he wont leave the group like haters are demanding. He will pay the fines, loose his driving privileges and life goes on. Report all lies to BigHit.
And if fans want to leave, let them. We need another fandom cleanse and it gives true fans the opportunity to see BTS live at their first tour after their military service.
Why THE HELL would anyone think Suga should "leave BTS" over this!?!? According to the Korean Law Board - one drink of soju can put a person "over the limit".....
SK judicial system is a BIG FAT JOKE! Rapists, pedos, frauds, traitors get a slap on the hands, while Yoongi is treated like a vile criminal! Make it make sense😤😤
Not to mention bullying...cyber bullying or not is far worse in South Korea what with all their suicide cases coming from bullying. K-Media and K-Netizens should be ashamed of themselves.
Korea is eager to put Suga down, but this is a country where drinking is glorified, prompted, normalized in Korean drama. There’s pressure to drink like crazy at after-work dinners. Control that instead of focusing on one guy who apologized, accepted responsibility and hurt no one. But BTS and media need to exploit it.
What I find so laughable is Koreans are clutching their pearls over Suga when they have a drinking and bully culture they highlight in almost every movie and series. This severe criticism of Suga is another attack by MHJ and her backers. They will push a negative spin on anything regarding BTS. Suga fell down drunk in front of his house, no one else was involved and no property damage. The Cop could have let Suga go with a warning. We wouldn’t have known this happened if the police had not leaked it. I truly believe once the cop realized it was Suga he saw an opportunity to take advantage of the situation. We have witnessed how HYBE/BTS are publicly bullied by their own country from day one. How many celebrities and public officials have to unalive themselves due to being publicly bullied before Koreans wake up and realize they play a big part in what is happening. No one is perfect, we all make mistakes and are allowed to move on. People living in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
I find it kinda fishy that the police was there and there's only 1 CCTV footage being released. Where's CCTV from his house? shops nearby?. Also every news i've seen never mentioned that he's in front of his house. My over thinking mind saying that since he's the only one not in camp, people followed him 24x7 waiting for him to makes mistake. When I read the weverse announcement, I thought ok since he admits and apologize, then that's the end of it. Boy, I was so wrong. I suddenly forgot all the mistreatment they received before😏.
Maybe Hybe is behind the bullying because they want the boys out to replace them with their next up and coming group. They want a group they can pay less salaries to because of their greed. Don’t trust Hybe.
@@AA4PJM correction!. We accept that he makes mistake. We accept that he should be punished for violating the law but we doubt that it would be that simple. Let's see how this goes.
Does anyone else think it’s odd the cop just happened to be there?? Suga admitted his mistake, paid the fine, lost his license and apologized! What do the Koreans want…blood or another funeral??! Hypocrisy at its best in the land where soju flows freely. Time to move on! ARMY supports Yoongi!💜
I’m wondering if someone in the restaurant recognized him and called the police while he was still in the restaurant and basically waited for him to see how he was getting home. This is fishy that they were right there.
I agree. I think everyone involved are being obsessively extreme & police & government are being anal retentive. That's whose selling alcohol to the public & taxing it. If they feel this way, stop selling it!!!
When I read his weverse apology I thought it was a joke because it didn't make any sense. I'm happy no one was injured and he has apologized. But I believe people have been waiting for BTS downfall so they are going to talk about this for months. It's so sad, I hope mentally Suga is ok.
People are being ridiculous. Namjoon had to take down an IG post about his own album because people accused him of being tone deaf as if he was trying to minimize the DUI that the police found out about when Yoongi parked. People do believe they are the center of the universe (or that someone in the military must be up to date on everything).
@@ruthfischer7615 They've also made clear that they are obviously not in contact at all times atm. If the antis are on their a$$ at all times, they should know that. BTS is busy serving their country and try to check-in with each other whenever they can. I bet Yoongi, as the only one serving outside of a base, is followed 24/7. And not by Army! ...
Yep, that is why I was thinking " This is the wrong time for this to happen, with the Hybe/MHJ situation still going on". People who don't like BTS/Hybe will just run with this.
This is getting quite laughable. He went out to dinner, had a few drinks, made a bad choice and drove home on a scooter. He fell when he got off the scooter. A policeman was near by. He paid the fine, lost his license. No one was hurt, he took responsibility. The military has already said there will be no punishment due to him being on his own time. But the haters have latched on to this like a dog with a bone. Have none of these people ever made a mistake??? Oh my goodness, are there no other world events going on that the haters can focus on? Min Yoongi we love you unconditionally. This too shall pass.
@@Mcgturtle3 What was it then, an accident? Yes, it was a mistake; a poorly made one. Everyone makes them and everyone has accidents too. Driving or operating machinery under alcoholic influence isn't a good thing. That's why he's not allowed to drive anymore, so it's taken care of. To the people who are reading the comments. Time to leave it alone now. He's learned his lesson. (And I know what it's like to have someone in my life involved in a car accident because of a drunk driver. This incident wasn't even close to that.) I am glad he is okay and not hurt, and no one else was hurt either.
@@Mcgturtle3 Let's say that again: it was a scooter. A little electric one-person scooter. He got home safely, parked it, and fell down. One can fall down *without* being drunk, too. It's not like he was in an SUV with half a dozen passengers and rammed into another vehicle and caused injuries or death. No, he shouldn't have gotten on it after drinking. But he's also far from the first person to misjudge his intoxication levels and make a mistake. And, he did not know it had been prohibited. If he had known, he would not have done it.
Thank you for shedding light on this, as usual, with nothing but the facts. When I first heard, I wasn't so much disappointed, but just baffled... and grateful he was ok and nothing else had happened. On another note, let's take note and remind everyone what ACCOUNTABILITY looks like. People make mistakes, but you should always be able to own it. He did and I thank him for that. 💜
Oh for crying out loud!!!!! It was one of the tiniest models of an electric scooter and he was already home. He had tried to park the scooter and fell, which was observed by police!!! He admitted it, his license was revoked, he's paying a fine, and he's made a public apology!!!! Our Min Yoongi has gone through many hardships and has come through them. While this may cause him sadness and even tough times, he will come through this, as well. Yoongi is strong! Yoongi knows he is respected and loved. Armys will stand by him! 💜 💜
Suga: Falls off an electric scooter like an intoxicated grandpa AT his house, WEARING his safety gear k-media: reacts as if he was recreating a scene from Tokyo Drift. 🙄 Leave the man alone. Yes it illegal but unlike fame hungry wannabes who feel they areabove the law, he took accountability for his mistake and is willing to cooperate with whatever outcome is given.

Suga is humble, responsible and righteous. I fully believe that he did not know that what he did was illegal. He would never do that on purpose. He apologized and took responsibilty without having to be asked to do so. Even BH seemed to only find out through his message. He handled it right away and straight-forwardly. That's how a mature and upstanding citizen reacts when he finds out he was mistaken in his actions or words. Yoongi did well! 👍 💜
I find the CCTV video of him has two ways of looking at it! This is so much BS, public intoxication is so common in S. Korea that no one even stops to assist people laid out on the damn street. Yoongi wasn’t actively driving a car/truck/bus, you know a vehicle that can cause real harm. The man had been on a freaking scooter, was no longer on it and was stationary, if the law states “caught while operating” you can argue that technically he was not and was already stopped. This was more of a danger to himself than someone in a two ton vehicle.
Wait an electric scooter? You mean the thing that looks like a long skateboard with handlebars? Not only that he wasn't on it or riding on the street? I feel like people were waiting for some juicy tidbit to dump on BTS anyway. I do not understand Korean law. Some of the weirdest things are considered serious while serious things are given less weight.
He made a mistake. He will face the consequences so people should drop it. Not trying to say he was in the right but its handled now and he is human. He made a mistake. Move on
What ⬆️ said! Also he wasn’t caught committing the violation accused! Yoongi could have denied it if he wanted to and still win this case but he didn’t. License getting suspended or worse revoked as a consequence for this matter is not fair at all.
This proves that even the famous are human, and make mistakes. But give Suga his due, as he did own up to his mistake and accepted he punishment. He did not play the celebrity card.👍
Let me start off by saying that I DO NOT CONDONE drunk driving. I lost a subordinate in the military because of this (she was driving and only 20 yrs old). Yoon-gi is a grown man who has taken responsibility for his actions and will deal with whatever happens accordingly. My big issue is the hypocritical, self-righteous response from his own countrymen and women. It really makes me angry when a country that : 1. ENCOURAGES DRINKING 2. Has a BULLY CULTURE that is based on drinking to appease your boss, and 3. Actually BOASTS about how NORMAL it is to see a person passed out on the sidewalk, drunk as a skunk (people walk around them unless you are a female...you probably would get assaulted and no one would say a thing but that is another issue altogether), all of a sudden becomes high and mighty and decides to destroy a person because they are a celebrity or public figure when they make a HUMAN ERROR IN JUDGEMENT! Drinking in SK is glorified and made fun of in movies...you could say it's NORMALIZED. Because of the reasons stated above, NO ONE has a leg to stand on or has the right to crucify Yoon-gi over this. People r*pe/m*lest/murder people and when they go on trial, they will use the 'I was drunk when it happened so, I am not responsible for my actions' excuse and the courts will let them off with a light sentence. They run s*x trafficking rings in their nightclub and get protected by law enforcement or only get 18 months (if that) in jail. So please explain to me why this incident is worse than any of this? Excuse my language, but frankly, it is all bullshit. You don't have to believe me about anything I have written. Do your own research. When you pull up some of these cases, your stomach will turn. I have been to SK several times and I have seen with my OWN EYES people passed out in doorways. It's not a lie. My message to SK netizens: You are killing your people! Whether it's promoting the drinking culture or doing what you are doing now by trolling/demonizing the very people you CLAIM to love! It's all gravy when they are boosting the economy...but when something like this happens( or any kind of scandal that occurs)...you turn on them and damn near kill them with your words. Lee Sun-kyun, Ahn Jae-hwan, Choi Jin-sil, Sulli, Goo Hara, Kim Jong-hyun...their deaths were caused by bullying. They didn't deserve the pressure put on them by netizens to be PERFECT. TOXIC netizens played a HUGE part in their demise. SK...the next time you have a R.I.P., LOOK IN THE MIRROR DO BETTER! Leave Yoon-gi alone. He is human.
I know I’m not a Korean, but I am sick and tired of watching those children take their lives because of things people think they shouldn’t do for Christ sake, give those kids a break the people that represent your country do worse. The people you put in power do the worst thing than that, but you criticizing him because he’s on TV and he made a mistake that hypocrisy let those kids breathe. Let him make mistake and learn from it that’s life.
People in a nutshell* Case 1: A man was caught money laundering, seggs trafficking, drugging wemon, distributing 🌽 videos of wemon being graped etc. and barely 5 years after the scandal he is living his life continuing old habits and not showing the slightest amount of simpathy for his victims. People : come on let the man live in peace. It's not that serious! Case 2: A man was driving an electric scooter for 500meters under the influence. He didn't hurt anyone nor anything but when parking the scooter, he lost balance and was caught. As a consequence he was fined and he lost his driver's license. Immediately after the incident he went on his social media clarifying and explaining everything while holding himself accountable and accepting the consequences of his action. People : HOW DARE HE! PUT HIM IN JAIL!
He will learn and change from this, but I think the media is being far to harsh just because he is BTS. It was dumb to do, but this is crazy. I am glad he is upstanding enough to take full responsibility and be honest with everyone.
Please, change the title he was NOT arrested! He was brought to the police station, signed a statement, fined, the license was revoked and was let go home.
Oh my, suddenly South Korea only has saints, it must be difficult to live in an all Saints society. He did not commit a murder. Nor do I see it as a scandal. He is a human and a normal young man who had a great time out. Why the hysteria?
Idol or not he is still human and made bad judgement in that moment. Respect that he told what happened in a private matter he didn’t have to but did because he cares about his fans.
There are things that Yongi must face because of this impasse, but all of this extreme criticism is just ridiculous. This is harassment of a public figure... no other Korean citizen would ever face the same reaction or condemnation for similar circumstances. I find this handling of private information unacceptable, the police should know better and have learned from recent cases that have ended badly due to their careless and malicious handling of information.
I've seen people ask for him to be kicked out of BTS, re-enroll in the military as a soldier, re-start his service, to get the medal back,... This honestly so ridiculous. Sure, it was wrong and he broke the law but they are really blowing things out of proportion because this is BTS...
@@claudettbruva1996 Definitely. I'm more scared about the investigation. Some K-ARMYs said that he could go to prison over this and I'm really scared...

The fact the first notice we got from Yoongi after so many months was about police that saw him parking and falling on his scooter in front of his house and they discovered he just drunk at dinner 😭 like it's so random I'm glad he's ok and nothing happened, but seriously, some people blows things out of proportion and let's not talk about certain kpop accounts releasing like 13+ articles about it on the same day... like this is ridiculous lmao The fact he accepted his mistake like that being so honest and took reasonability is great! Min Yoongi the man you are 💜 and the "I apologize to everyone who got hurt by my careless and wrong behavior" like bro you are the only one that got hurt falling IN FRONT OOF YOUR HOUSE 😭😭 I'm sorry but this is so unserious lol I don't get people who are actually so mad at this and "fans" saying they are going to stan bc this is unacceptable and disappointing like wtf I get it could be worse and more if he was driving a car or a motorcycle but come on, y'all get mad about this and hate non-stop while ignore others doing really shitty and criminal things 💀 The way he took responsibility like that even if this wasn't that serious says a lot of him as a person.
If the law keep changing, how are people are up to date with the current law. Lesson has been learn, accountability taken and now other people also know that is illegal.

We will always stand by you Yoongi💜 Much love and respect to you!
When I read the announcement my first concern was if anyone was harmed, and upon finding that no harm done I was relieved. But when Hybe issued in Korean 2 statements I started suspecting that there was a need to do so to defend him from the vicious news and K-netizens attack that followed. In parallel there is the 300 rich students drug ring seizing happening, but could not find any news on that, and it happened 2-3 days ago...just speculations and attack on Suga, so much smoke may be hiding the more serious issues with the drug ring involving rich students.
Yes, I suspect the media would far rather gleefully report on Suga than on rich students. Because rich parents might not be pleased. And Korean media doesn't like BTS anyway. 😑
Aussie police would have helped him up and given a warning, but Korean police like their 15 minutes of fame, just look at what they did to the actor that took his own life. He was on the ground, no one witnessed him riding, a warning would be sufficient, should have called his manager to pick him up. Talk about turn a mistake into a Kdrama, poor Sugar, obviously they haven't got any other news to tell. Isn't it amazing that the local hero can be thrown on the fire so quickly even after everything he has done for the country????

Seriously, S.Korea have crazy laws. Why do you even need a driver's license for a kick-board scooter? I can certainly understand for mopeds or 2wheel mechanical vehicles that requires to be registered and plate number issued. They have strict laws for this, but they don't even have laws for corporate sabotage and just call it disloyalty. 😒 Ridiculous.

To me, the only good thing out of SK is BTS. They have done so much for this country, and every time something small happens with the guys, Koreans go right for them. Agreed. You and one other commenter have made me realize SK is not a place I would ever want to visit. Kinda feel sorry now for the people who live there. I have seen and heard too much about it that is rude, intolerant, strict, involves bullying, and turning on their own (as with Suga), often excusing and letting off ACTUAL offenders, not to mention chaebol families getting away with stuff they shouldn't... the list goes on. For the love of BTS our Suga has already risen above this by taking accountability. The press and haters aren't strong enough to bring any of our Kings down with their pathetic agenda. BTS STRONG, SUGA STRONG, ARMY STRONG. Keep supporting him fam!!💜🎶💜🎶💜
Sean, Thank you for covering this topic with impartiality, clarity and respect. As SUGA said, "Future's gonna be okay." His honesty and accountability in handling this one-time-only incident are a testament to his character, despite the media's attempts to sensationalise and attract more clicks. While some may choose to hate, the true fans and ARMY will not condone the incident but will accept and understand the apologies and continue to support SUGA and BTS. Furthermore, it's crucial to understand and respect the cultural differences in South Korea. While a simple 'sorry' may suffice in the West, that is not the case in South Korea. The differing ideologies on forgiveness and redemption mean that situations like SUGA's are treated very differently. This is where collectivism, an essential aspect of South Korean culture, plays a significant role. The feeling of shame in certain situations is deep and heavy, and the risk of losing face or reputation is real. For South Koreans, profound apologies are not to be taken lightly; they are treated with the utmost seriousness and respect, which is a stark contrast to the casual approach often seen in Western cultures. This difference in attitude underscores the need for understanding and respect. The statements issued by SUGA, the company, and the military are necessary parts of the apology, culture, legal and military procedures. They reflect SUGA's, the company's, and others involved' transparency and show good faith to the fans, public, and others. Lastly, SUGA will learn and rise above this matter and continue being inspirational to many. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

@@Sherluck93 Extrapolate does not have an inherently negative connotation like exaggerate does. It is a legitimate logical process used in research contexts, for example. They need to add a phrase like "too much" or "unfairly."
@@WE__BTS They do not need to clarify further, but they could. It was a short comment, so they didn't. Connotation has no use in science. (Also, this is not science. It's bad journalism.) Extrapolation is a legitimate and logical process, but only to assume something and hypothesize futher. But the results are not facts and should never be treated that way. That the media is doing both (exaggerate and extrapolate), and mixing fact with fiction, is very effective in spinning this matter and spread doubt and misinformation. Some information are facts, but they are not presented as they are (as in science) but spun into a narrative that has not much to do with reality but a whole lot with assumptions and opinion-making. We should stop discussing this here, as this just recently happened and we also weren't at the scene ourselves. It's important to know that you don't know. @@Sherluck93 @Sherluck93 you're actually embarrassing yourself now. I have my masters in education (language studies). "Extrapolation" (by itself) is used outside of a scientific setting with the same meaning. And it doesn't carry a specific connotation (neither negative or positive) outside of a scientific context either UNLESS you include other words to convey that. So I'm not sure why you're bringing up that connotation has no use in science bc you're just affirming my point. I said that it doesn't have a negative connotation by itself, contrary to what OP suggested in their working. That doesn't automatically mean it has a positive connotation either. I'm not saying the journalism happening here is legitimate. But it IS possible to be a good journalist and logically/responsibly extrapolate information from data or evidence. Policy makers, law enforcement, nonprofit orgs, and even journalists, etc... are capable of doing that in a legitimate manner. So I maintain my point that OP is using the wrong wording to describe this situation IF they want to claim these journalists are jumping to unfair conclusions. They must add words to the sentence (such as "wildly" or "unfairly" to convey that negative meaning). Their "short statement" is faulty and they should amend it, which is easy to do

This, this is just laughable. Can the police work to find all the laws broken from Min Hee Jin. If it was someone else (not a celebrity), it would've been a blip on the news. Thank goodness he is okay. Be well and give some grace, everyone.
Suga took responsibility and apologized, of course they are going to make it sensational because of his status he's BTS . Haters and anti BTS are enjoying this for sure. Suga is not perfect and also human. We love him and have high respect for BTS. They are good human being. See them in 2025.
Yoongi admitted his mistake and he didn't hurt anyone but maybe himself! The man came out and apologized for something so small! So many of us have made similar mistakes and we just took the fine, maybe shed a tear for leniency and went back home! It would be so good if some people could take their brain out of their a** and put it back in their heads!
@@phyllo2694they can be different, but still ridiculous. Like the kpop idol who r*ped and sa 4 underage girls and only got 2 1/2 years prison time! But riding a scooter under the influence is such a huge deal!
Lol be glad he wasn't in America. You're not just paying a fine here--you can't even be drunk on foot without being arrested and charged with at least Public Intoxication. You're going to jail--not to pay a little fine and apologize.
I'm sure this is all so hard on Suga right now. Regret, embarrassment & hard lesson learned, especially as we have learned with laws in Korea. Please know Suga, all this will blow over. You are loved by many.... All that are cyberbullying Suga => dislike/thumb-down.
Sorry, but I don't understand the Korean Logic. They promote alcohol culture left and right, associate it with literal work, formal stuff, informal stuff, parties- have like a million lingos related to this drinking culture that most other languages wouldn't even be able to translate, but also put the start cap at 0.2? In general, how are people supposed to travel then? In most other countries drinking won't be promoted as much making it a reasoning that if u did, find someone sober to drive u back home. In Korea who is driving u back home if the culture itself is ingrained in drinking? I in general feel like Koreans don't give a fk about the actual issues in themselves but the drama surrounding them. Always bitter and looking for an opportunity to prove their ethicality behind the screen. If that isn't the case then how is it that after all kinds of fuss Knetz makes laws in Korea are so non-sensical. It just means that all the energy is going into the keyboards and not on the streets to protest for the root cause of issues.
for my western mind the whole incident is ridiculous. But i understand that South Korea is different, the laws are different, the whole society is different. I am so sorry that he is receiving so much hate not only from korean people but from journalists also. I hope he is not alone and that he is ok.
Thank you for the nuanced breakdown. He wasn't racing a muscle car or a monster truck through the streets of Seoul, but he could have hurt himself. It was dumb, but compared to the way the South Korean judicial system handles things like SA, CSA, and DV, the reaction seems overblown.
@@PlaysWithSqrls whole south korea is on their periods....having mood swings not liking what is likeable, not blaming someone who is to be blamed 😂 I have never seen people like this in my life🤦♀😅
He was riding a scooter and made it home but fell over in the parking lot the policeman said .. he found him on the pavement asleep. He took him to the station and did what they do, Suga paid the fines and the police took him home. He went on Weverse and apologized to all the people for making a mistake. Hybe also put out a letter saying they were sorry that Suga had made a mistake and would do better. If it had been in the USA, the police would have laughed and put him in his house!!! SK are a big joke!!! They are lieing about it but MHJ is still running around and lieing and trying to curse people and CEO's .... Rapist and pedos's go away with a slap on the wrist 😮 He's human and made a mistake, let it go....😮😮😊 Oh and the military said it was while he was off duty so they had nothing to say about it. So let him alone people!!! It wasn't a car or a motorcycle!!!!!😮 LET IT GO!!! SMH...😊
Let's face it whatever BTS do they will always be made an example of.. I bet the cop got a shock to find Agus D laying watching the stars, Yoongi will step up and take the blame. I bet there are kpop idols out there doing way much more... It will be the embarrassment to family and military as well as ARMY and haters will play it up... Mingo jin will probably put her own spin on it... Give the guy a break we all know Yoongi can pack the drink away like nobody I have ever seen plus he drinks whiskey which is super strong, I live in Scotland so I would know this, a few glasses may have hit the jackpot on the breathalyser... He's human like the rest of us but he's not using his fame to get out of it... I am giving him a huge high 5 for stepping up. 🖐️💜💜
Sean, thank you for the update and yes drinking and driving is extremely serious but, to be clear he wasn't caught driving a vehicle, he was caught trying to park his scooter?! Wow!! I understand the scooter weight and speed issue and even being fined but having his license suspended sounds harsh to me. Anyway, we are human and make stupid mistakes! He confessed and apologized and I will forgive him for this. I'm just so grateful to God that Suga nor anyone else were harmed!
Yes it's the losing his license I don't get. Drunk in charge of motorized scooter thingie eg trying to park it and fell in the process, I would think he would get a stern talking to and a fine but losing his License?
@@eileencritchley4630 I can see him loosing his license. I mean you can loose it as a pedestrian if you cause an accident. The thinking is that if you do it like this you are likely not better with a bigger vehicle. different point: I think it was you I was unable to answer to about NJ because my comments kept vanishing?
@@ruthfischer7615 Where in the world can a person who holds a driving license loose it when as a pedestrian gets into an accident eg not driving. Or have I mis understood your post, as I'm confused by your post. Sorry. Oh I do hate when that happens concerning disappearing posts that's happened to me then days later I've a notification that someone as commented on my post that kept disappearing and gave up trying to post.
@@eileencritchley4630 Germany. It is when you cause e.g. a car accident as a pedestrian: As in e.g. you walk into the street into traffic illegally and someone tries not hitting you and creates a crash because of it and damage is done. I was pointing out that Fifty Fifty was also uninformed who their real tormentor is. NJ is likely isolated/does not follow the case. It is likely they did not see the Kakao messages. They trust MHJ and at least at one point tried to comfort her. We do not know when that happened. She sat with their families and ate at their homes: a second "mother" Think of it this way? You have someone who you trust and they are down because their significant other (that you know little about) cheated and left them. You are likely to comfort them, right? You are unlikely to ask if that is the truth because maybe your friend was the one who cheated and just does not want to be seen as the butthole and lies about it. People have done exactly that a lot of times.
I wonder if someone called the police, when he left the place he was at? 🤔 He needs to stay off anything that has a motor and scoots anywhere. Last time he crashed, he ended up in surgery. Call a cab, fer cryin’ out loud! Hope our ‘lil meow meow lands on both feet and drinks milk for a while. BTS forever! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
The disturbing part of whole thing, is if he gets heavy punishment for a minor thing, while he not hurt even an ant either, meanwhile burning sun member haven gotten ani any appropriate punishment...
I mean he made a mistake but they're taking it to the extreme, after all the things that BTS have done for their country they should be treated with more respect.Something is not right in S.Korea😢😢
It’s not a scandal it’s people making a big deal out of a human being that made a mistake that just happened to be famous. He paid his fine. He took his responsibility and apologized. Let’s move on or some of you guys don’t have anything else to do but make money off of BTS anyway so this is just the icing on the cake For your channels today Army still loves Suga, August D, which ever he chooses to be today💜
I'm sure people were just waiting for a BTS member to mess up. Over hyped for sure. He was still irresponsible for what he did, but definitely over hyped.
The media is just excited to attach a negative event to BTS. He wasn’t in a car, no one was hurt, he took accountability. This seems so blown out of proportion
This is cyber bullying how haters are reacting. He needs support and not haters wanting to cancel him. Kmedia is something else. They allow cyber bullying and rapist that’s not taken serious but this is the biggest scandal for Korea. It’s sick.
Hi Sean. I am so glad to have your report on this. Yeah, Suga was in the wrong for taking that chance, but the fact that he apologised immediately, took responsibility and acknowledged that this could disappoint fans speaks about his integrity. Of course, social media is making a meal out of this. He made a mistake, and took his punishment. People should let it go now. I really get frustrated when netizens express holier than thou opinions. Let he who is blameless cast the first stone.. okay rant over and thanks for clarifying 🙏💜
It was hyped up, more than was necessary, with a lot of false stories, but I hope this is a wake up call for everyone. If you are driving no drinking. If you want to have a drink, have a designated driver.
How I wish they have bodyguards with them during their off days for safety purposes (HYBE? pls). You are right, what if people knew he was there at that time? That will even be scarier for him. If he was with a body guard and a driver, maybe this could have been avoided. Suga is very humble and wants to experience normalcy, he did think riding a scooter would be more inconspicuous... HYBE please take care of OT7....🙏
@@MyMeisha Please stop asking Hybe, BH, or Yoongi's team for stuff like this. Yoongi decides if he is accompanied or not. He met friends for a meal, drinks and chat. Nothing Hybe could do. As you said, some normalcy.
It is crazy looking at headlines. He took responsibility, apoligized. It is a scooter with a seat. I still support him. Thank you for explaining and put it into perspective.
He rode his electric scooter home after drinking at dinner. He drove home and fell when parking his scooter. A police officer found him. He took a breathalyzer test and blew 0.08. His license was suspended, and he paid a fine. The scooter had a foldable seat. He wasn't injured. No one was hurt, and there wasn't any property damage. He's posted an apology on Weverse. Big Hit posted an apology. SUGA will be disciplined. ✌️
Yes he was wrong, but he admitted it said he was sorry, paid his fine. It was a mistake,he will learn from this, you can bet. Totally out of his character! No one was hurt,no property was damaged. You can bet this will not happen again. Let's put this behind us. Let's give him credit for standing up like the man he is! Thank you for explaining it so well. Thank you for all your comments. You are my rock for understanding when a crisis happens you explain it with no bull!! CJC from Arizona,USA
I am so damn sure that after completing their mandatory military training all BTS members will change their citizenship 😂 they will be like no Korea anymore 😂 people are sick from their head to toes 😂 they got some tea powder and now after mixing other ingredients they are making it a tea😂😂
I hope they will buy a house in other country and live there. Countries like Finland, Norway, Netherland, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland and Canada will love BTS for sure. SK's economy and tourism skyrocketed because of bts but they're own countrymen hate them. Last time kmedias tried making fun of them for not winning the grammy. They dont deserved a boyband like BTS.
It's just ridiculous. South Korea lets r@pists, sex traffickers go with a slap on the wrist but suddenly now they're acting like driving kickboard while drunk is the high form of crime or something. The worst that could've resulted from Suga driving kickboard while drunk is him colliding with someone and breaking a bone or two(I would know considering lot of things like that happen in my country involving kickboard). But nothing really happened. South Korea just loves trying to bash on BTS, they really can't handle someone being successful it's ridiculous.
Thank you Sean for explaining e scooter's vs kickboard, vs motor veh. I understand it wasn't the best decision, but I think this was blown way out of proportion , I'm thinking MHJ has her lil bunnies spying on BTS members in hopes of something like this happening, plus I seriously think she has a few police officials on her payroll that she has gotten away with sh!t and then poor Yoongi was just having a nice dinner with friends and1 beer and just had difficulty parking at his place and just so happens that a police officer see's him and out of the goodness of his heart went to help, sorry most police would have pretended not to see, or waited to see if he got up on his own before taking the energy to walk over to help. Anyway love that you always explain the real scoop to us.
