If I'm not mistaken, whenever the BTS are on trips for their Bon Voyage series (they got 4 already), they were given a certain amount/budget that they could use for buying food and other stuff that they need for the trip (I think plane tickets and accommodations were booked and paid by the company). I believe they're not allowed to use their personal money. That way, I'm thinking that the management was teaching the members to not take for granted the fortune that they're getting from being global superstars.
For a few of these clips they had been doing their reality shows like Bon Voyage and had been told by their managers to follow a strict budget for learning and experience reasons. Yoongi was the best at managing the money so they usually gave him that task. In some of these clips they really had to worry about money... like when they had been at the resturant asking for sides and when Taehyung had to hand over that 50 to a manager because he had to pay it back for a mistake he had made and had to get help. They are humble yes, but they also had been taught with the experience the company helped them learn. As much as I really hated that first episode of American Hustle Life, that show also gave them some pretty good lessons... like working hard in back breaking jobs like being a housekeeper in a hotel (I know this job well). Those lessons may have helped them to remember how very hard people around them work and to never forget that so they treat places they go with even more respect then they already would have. They work hard and are always ready and willing to learn new things. I miss them...
Most of the clips comes from RUN BTS (their variety show) where BTS are competing for money as a prize in many games or from Bon Voyage (their travel show) where BTS gets limited amount of money during their trip and they need to watch for what they are spending those money. Also they started from bottom, didn't have luxury dorm or clothes when they debuted so they are very humble and they don't flaunt money left and right
Omg i just entered RU-vid and so these much updates from you this is a blessing 😅😅 + exactly that's what we love about bts they'll be so happy even if you give them a flower they never show off because of their money they're so humble and down to earth they're the great example for the perfect idols 😌
For me, the best clip is when Jungkook tried to pay for snacks on a distributor with his black card and failed cause the machine was taking basic cards only 🤣 He was so confused and the staff had to pay for him 🤣
the way most kpop idols get hype over the smallest of prizes is adorable especially bts, these guys don't need to count money but still they are like swapping toiletries and stuff
Not exactly related to content but I remember an artist friend of jin on a show mentioned how Jin first asked him not to misunderstand and then asked if he needed any help from him when he was having some financial problems cause Jin didn't want to sound rude or like a show off but at the same time he really wanted to help him. They have not only evolved as great artists but also as some really wonderful personalities.
BTS went through so many hardships including not having enough money to eat etc until they began actually getting paid by Big Hit that though they are multimillionaires, for 5 years approximately more or less, they’re still excited for the things they receive. Parts of the video shows them at the country house HYBE had built for them, hence why JK was switching items bc all personal items there were provided by HYBE. Other parts are from their Bon Voyage travels where they were not to use personal money but only what they were provided with by their managers for the purpose of Bon Voyage activities. 😊
They will totally betray each other for $500 in gift cards. Meanwhile, that won't even cover the price of one piece of clothing that they buy all the time.
I believe they know perfectly how much money they have, but they don't act like they own the world. They don't take their fame and fortune for granted. They are very well-educated men, they are respectful, can relate to others, care for their fan base, and you can see that they are indeed humble and grateful, it is not possible to fake emotions and body language, it's legit.
Yes, that’s why many people especially idols, celebrities and media admires, adores and respect BTS so much coz they stayed humble, respectful, greatful and kind despite being superstars and the biggest artists in the world today! BTS is the best! There’s nothing like BTS!
I just want to mention a lot of these clips were from bon voyage. Bon voyage is their variety show which concept is the members on a trip in an unfamiliar country with limited money and the staff cant help them with anything. So in a lot of these clips they had limited money, on bon voyage they're not allowed to use their own money and can only use the money the staff give them
They are so humble I love it When they are in Bon Voyage the staff gives them certain amount of money for x days so that's why we see them begging for money, food or doing anything like dance to get free ice scream. it's so funny bc they a rich af Sometimes they break the rules (Taehyung specifically) and end up buying things with their own money or credit card
The JHope clip with him being super excited at his prize was him winning a Nintendo Switch. All the rest of the guys were so jealous! I think at the time it was filmed, the Switch was so new and popular it was difficult to buy one!
Hey, Ben. 👋🏻 Hope you're doing well. I've seen that you uploaded a lot of content recently. Thank you so much for this. It's always a joy to watch your videos. You're the best. However, I can't help but think about you and this sudden huge amount of content. It makes me worry a little bit about you. I hope you're not lonely during the holidays and you're surrounded by great people who love you and appreciate you as much as we do. If not, it's okay. We're here, aren't we? Watching and enjoying every second of each video because of your personality and not for anything else. Forever grateful for your consideration and great content. It certainly makes my lonely days less lonely. Stay the way you are. We wouldn't have you any other way. I wish I could send you coffee or something symbolic.. Have great holidays and rest well. ✨💜 -B.
Thank you, Ben! I have been missing these guys and you have a refreshing take on these clips. You, not knowing the context of each piece reminds me of me. I saw a clip of them and I needed the context. It was driving me crazy why a certain look, movement, word or anything would make them crack up laughing. These guys are the best and I like the reactions you give. BORAHAE 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
One thing I LOVE about them is staying humble& down to earth. Totally different than other western artist that once they get the fame they show off their lavish & expensive life style
According to the Hyundai Research Institute in 2019, the overall BTS effect in the economy was 5.56 trillion won per year in South Korea (US$ 4.9 billion). The institute predicted that BTS would create a total of 56 trillion won over 10 years from 2014 to 2023. A total of 7,928 more jobs were also estimated to be created by Dynamite’s entry at No. 1 in the Hot 100 chart in 2020 with 1.23 trillion won in production sector and 480 billion won were added to the value. According to the Bank of Korea Economic Statistics System, South Korea’s BOP (balance of payments) for music and entertainment in the first quarter of 2019 was US$ 114.7 million A survey by the Korea Tourism Organization revealed the top five BTS-related locations. The Seoul Metropolitan Government also credited BTS with assisting in the recovery of Seoul’s tourism industry. South Korea stands to lose billions as a result of BTS’ upcoming military service, Fortune reports. Between 2014 and 2023, analysts projected BTS would have contributed $29.1 trillion to the South Korean economy
Many of these clips are from Bon Voyage or Run BTS where the producers have them stick to a certain budget just to keep the show interesting. That's why they keep saying that they have no money. They mean that they don't have any money left in their budget.
At like :46, this is one of their trips, maybe In the Soop or Bon Voyage. Jungkook brought his own toiletries but seeing new ones there, he switches and takes the unopened ones. They now have lots of money because they’re super stars along with the many companies they are ambassadors for or sponsorships. They didn’t get paid by company until 2 years after their debut. 3:04 this is Bon Voyage in Hawaii. Company allots them some $$ for their food. Niagara Falls, they didn’t have a Canadian dollar coin to use the machine 7:50 that was a prize from when they were assigned tasks during a game. They had to memorize some lines and recite after a crazy ride. JHope and Suga won. These guys are so humble and talented.
to me the swapped toiletries are just practical they must have asked them before going which one they use and wanted so JK brought the ones from home they were staying for a couple of days or a week in the 2nd series so continuing the ones he had already used/opened made sense and the unopened being taken home later so as not to waste them also made sense
About them not knowing how much they have... I seriously doubt that cos honestly these guys are the thriftiest guys ever. Especially Jungkook. Haha he even took the couch from the old dorm. But more importantly, what you said about them being so humble and grateful for the prizes like a ramen maker (the big red gift that they got in the amusement park), and a nintendo switch (the one where jhope was so happy) when they can prob get thousands of those with their own money. In the videos where they were "begging," it was part of Bon Voyage in Malta. Theyre a reality travel show by BTS and their whole trip is pretty much on a budget depending on what they win during games. Suggest you watch them and RUN BTS to gain more context :)
All of these clips were from when they already got rich and famous lol. the bon voyage clips are the only ones where the staff limit their allowance for entertainment's sake. However, they really do get excited by the small gifts that they win on Run BTS.
The majority of this is either from Run BTS episodes, In the Soop, and Bon Voyage trips. Most of this is for missions that they have limited money for, so that's why you see them "begging" for extra portions, etc. :)
keep in mind that their first 5 years they were basically broke that is why some had to have part time jobs because even big hit was limited in there funds for housing and food . One of the reasons why Suga had shoulder issues he got hit while doing food delivery on a moped. V coming in was the poorest next to Suga in the beginning.they had to pay big hit back for all the training costs/ promotion and housing/ board costs. It is crazy how hard it is in the beginning
In the soop was house they use for filming it. Bon Voyage is when they go on vaction ( filmed obv) they have a budget so were poor that time, they won extra money for games.
I love your uploads. You're fun to watch. I highly suggest watching the BTS and Game Creators episodes. Those are some of my favorite things to rewatch. They are all on RU-vid. I would love to see your reaction to them.
10:06 All of them are Ambassadors for a lot of famous brands like Celine / LV /Cartier/ DOIR / Valentino/Bottega Veneta/Hyundai... But again BTS are so humble and cool 💜
3:35 No they were making a RUN episode, that was for fun, team 1 have more money than team 2, and they both are hungry, or maybe this was for Bon voyage, this ep was reelllyy funny 😭
They beging for food bcoz they have a challenge. If they win the game staff give them higher budget but if they loose staff give small amount and they need to budget it for their needs like food etc.
7:43 because they struggled so much to get to this level, they worked too much for more than 10 years, and they paved their own way, no one helped them, and no one was there for them, now they know the value of what they have, you can't EVER find this humbly in other artists
No matter how rich they are now, they were not rich before their success. They did not receive payment until after 2 years. That will make you very careful. The dollar at Niagara falls.. on the Can side, they would actually need a dollar coin/loonie. Most very wealthy people got that way by being careful in spending money.. I'll be broke for ever! 😢
They were in bon voyage so the thing is they are not allowed to use their own money or cards so they gave them amount of money and they should use it and try to make them know how to use money in real life so it's like a challenge for them
Good energy❤ But if you wanna have some FRESH GOOD ENERGY you should watch ZEROBASEONE CUTE AND FUNNY MOMENTS (MELTING POINT ERA) and get to know them cuz these boys are ICONIC haha. Much love ❤
Most of these clips are from times they were on budgets, with no access to their own personal funds.... that's why at times they are begging for more food etc
The first clip with jungkook taking the stuff in the bathroom was from their show in the soop season 2. Big hit staff actually built the house for them so they each had their own section Bts are billionaire I thi k the net worth is $3.6 Billion Prior to hybe it was $120-150 million Also j hope is the richest member at $20M
