It’s about freakin time they got something other than a social media award!! These guys are so talented, what they are doing in the music industry right now, not even boy bands here in the US have really done, not straight out of the gate anyways. They write about social issues and commentary, have free reign over their creativity and write over 90% of their own music. They rap. I grew up with NKOTB and New Edition, N’Sync, Backstreet Boys, etc. Those “boy bands” are bubble gum pop music, even though I do love them. But they never made music like this! Sonically and lyrically, they have NOTHING on BTS. BTS is changing the boy band status quo, not only in Korea but all over the world, including here in the States. The Grammy’s needs to wake up and really see and listen to what these men are doing. These guys belong more with the Beatles and Rolling Stones with what they are doing. I’m an older ARMY, I’m so happy they’re finally get their dues 💜 Now the music industry needs to really pay attention!!

I cried when they won Artist of the year in Korea back in 2016, 2017,2018 but I cried very hard when they won this award at the AMAs. I am so incredibly proud of them. I can still remember them being so nervous & excited to perform for the first time at the AMAs in 2017.. they have come so far. Stay humble, hardworking, loving and kind BTS!
