Still so weird how many of the major movie things didnt get mention in the show, like how she never once mentioned Pike or Merrick? Would've been cool if she had mentioned one of the at least once. But I get the show was trying to distance itself fromt he movie. And her relationship with her first watcher, Merrick, was strong too in the movie, but in the show, it gets completely thrown away in lieu of her relationship with Giles. Like he is just referenced once as some watcher in the tv series, and that's it.

@@jpierce8148 I agree! Merrick and Pike should have been mentioned, especially her Watcher. I was thinking in the final season that would have gave her and Kennedy something to bond over cause they have both been through losing their watcher.

@@jpierce8148 Merrick actually appeared in 1 episode of the show, titled "Becoming, Part One". His scenes were limited to flashbacks though, and he was portrayed by German/Irish stage actor Richard Riehle. The character also appeared in a 3-issue comic series, called "Buffy: The Origin".

AceripXF He became a father figure even by episode 12 of season 1. By season 2 when Jenny dies he definitely did when she hugs him and tells him she needs him and can’t do this alone.

season 1 is really good with a good set of monsters of the week, buffy meeting her friends, the master as the big bad, and funny moments. imo I like it more than season 2 even though that sounds blasphemous.

It sucked, but it was more realistic.

i agree, i liked Buffy until about season 3, then after she just became so bloody annoying

It was the awkward 'first chapter' where the writers had to explain the premise of the whole show. It's very difficult not to make it a bit awkward.
