I actually think it was an optical illusion which made him believe it snapped. First, let me start by saying he definitely pulled the putt. He tried to ram it too hard and just shut the face too much. But the way his shadow crosses right across the line of his putt at that angle might have made him realistically believe the ball snapped to the left. I’m not saying that’s for sure what happened but just offering a theory that gives him a little benefit of the doubt
