We just found out my grand baby has SCID. This video has perfect detail on how the disease can be cured. It gives hope and understanding to a diagnosis that seemed bleak. Thank you.
can you please help me in guiding what you did. I am in sweden and my new born baby have scid. How is your grand baby now. have you gone for born marrow transplant. I am looking forward if you have little time to discuss. thankyou
My wife has SCID tho she is just a carrier and can only pass it along. We've been trying to conceive for the last 5 years with no luck until only recently we finally succeeded ! Only thing is we have a 25% chance overall in having a sick baby. If said baby is female no chance of being sick only being able to pass it along. But if the baby is male there is a 50% chance of the bay being sick. We literally just got the call telling us were going to have a boy. So we have our fingers crossed that our child is not going to be positive for SCID.
I was wondering if you had any statistical data on SCID by any chance. Was writing a report on it and was wondering where I can find data on the two ways of gene therapy :) ALka x
You can slow the talking speed of RU-vid videos by clicking on the 3 dots at the top of the video, it'll take you to Playback speed (where it should say Normal), click on that and you can either slow them down or speed them up.
why to use gene therapy and chemotherapy just make body realise that is has a mutation, cells have mechanisms to repair the mutations, it will repair it self,, need to have an intense research about this......
Y u no speak no inklish. These cells are mutated and cannot repair themselves. Left untreated the child dies after a year or 2 if not killed by the common cold before then. Would you really just wait and hope that the cells correct themselves?
