Excellent fall day in the Columbia River Gorge. I've been totally off the water for 6 weeks getting moved. Hoping to get out to sail this weekend as October can be good but its the definite transition month to colder weather leading to our winter season. Cheers!

That looks like a great place to sail! I have done some salmon and sturgeon fishing just below the bonneville but haven’t sailed there yet. May have to check it out someday. Also I love the sheeting setup and how everything is so close to center!

Congratulations on your retirement, and especially in such a beautiful place. You should get in a lot of sailing. I have had a good year so far. Started in March, didn't sail much from late June to mid-August, but I've been on the lake a good bit since then. The Bucs do sail well, light and face.

Thanks Gordon! Glad to hear you got a good season in! I hope to get a few more day sails in here before the weather really turns to winter! Then my next break to sail at all may not be until March in San Diego as we go down there for a break to escape the long raining months!

San Diego is a sailing Mecca. That is certainly something to look forward to. I meant to say "light and fast," rather than "light and face." There are still a lot of good days for sailing this year in western NC. Water is getting cooler, but I think I can still get by without a wet suit. I am thinking of getting something a little bigger that I can use in the NC coastal waters. We have a lot of big sounds down east that I would like to explore. Makes for good sailing with steady winds without having to go offshore into the ocean.

Livin the dream mate! What a beautiful lake. I'd come sailing with you for sure, would take a while for my oday daysailer to get there from Brisbane Australia tho haha
