+TJHaze123 theres too many talents that get cut short, but in a sense its up too the people to support thier favorite artists! buy music, go to shows etc! of course if your too broke then whatever its fine, but remember when people bought cdS LOL...but rza made a good point, artists spend all this time and money too make albums, and people who buy 5 dollar starbucks and have 200 dollar headphones complain 10 doallars is too much to buy an album! food for thought~ but yea i agree buck is under appriciated, but i notice hes been getting abit more buzz the last year or 2!
For those unable to find this song, a slightly different version appears on the Dirty Work EP (lacking the intro and the scratching at the end). It used to be available for download on the official Buck 65 site IIRC.
@Tehshakezula well, the image from the vid suggests that it came from a mix-tape. Other than that, I know it's been played live. And it also exists on a cbc podcast, I believe, so if anyone wanted their own mp3, they could capture out of that podcast.
I know I'm 10 years late to answer, but I don't think it was a sample, it was probably recorded for this song, because I've never found a source for a sample like it, but I have no clue
@snowking654 i think you need to check again... there's plenty of Buck 65 on itunes (maybe it's where you are? In the US I can find him - I'm sure he's on in Canada too)
@platypusmethod that's true. In my experience it's hard to find this particular song in an mp3 or what have you. What was the original origin of the song? Was it live only or something?
I listen to this track every day, I will get it to a million views, if it takes me 961,770 days. Better learn how to become indestructible, big-ups Mr. 65
@arsonill when you view something on youtube it counts how many computers and different ppl viewed it. You can't give a video 10 views yourself it will just stay at 1. Unless you sign in to dif youtube accounts.
Well, good work, it's fantastic! Could you send a link to the original post? I'm curious to see it! I really love Buck 65's work but I keep learning stuff that suggests he's a pretty messed up dude.
if they sued me for slander they would end up owing my lawyer and damages. this is no lie. I'll die if it's not true. English lit major writing for 21 years
Honestly it has a weird flow. Like every three lines is has an extra one or two syllables. I mean this track was released a decade ago. And it could be made allot cleaner sounding. It could be that each line is 7 syllables and Buck 65 is singing it in 3/4 which make the flow feel wrong. like it's always missing a beat. If you wrote is a poem cool. but as a rap it need a bit of work. it's wordy is all. - - - - - -.
